( Eddard Stark's perspective)
Aermir's words and explanations make some sense, but it doesn't make sense to act immediately based solely on a child's account. Even if what he says is true, should I prepare the North before telling Robert? If I do, I'll break my oath. That would mean betraying my king and my friends, and I can't do that.
" Aermir, while I believe what you say, I cannot act rashly until others confirm it. Rodrik, send your best scouts to investigate Blazewater Bay and Stony Shore."
(Male protagonist's perspective)
This is a complete waste of time, but I understand the lord. No matter how much he trusts me, he can't start preparing for war just because of a child's words. If the roads were clear, it would take the scouts about a month to get there, but the roads are covered with about a meter of snow, and they can't cross the "canyon." In this weather, ordinary people can't climb mountains like I can; they would freeze to death.
Therefore, they had to cross the Barrowton via Kingsroad. Unlike me, they don't have magic, so it would take them three months to explore the entire coastline because they couldn't search from a bird's-eye view. Crossing the forest in this weather was torture for them.
It would take them at least nine months to a year to bring back news. During that time, the sea rats would make several trips along the coastline through the woods. After that, nothing I said reached Lord Stark's ears; he was adamant about waiting for the scouts. He told me to leave, and they continued their conversation.
The next day, I met Robb and Jon; they had grown a bit. Their conversation began to shift from swords and battles to horse racing, hunting, and girls.
Adolescence is a painful time, and I can't say I look forward to experiencing it a second time. After catching up and having some sword fights, they got bored because I used them to mop the floor. Robb, who was lying on the floor taking a deep breath, suddenly stood up and said.
"I bow to the powerful ' Calamity ' Aermir Drasil, the destroyer of bandits and protector of civilians."
I made a fake bowing gesture, and then said.
"Go to hell, you adult!"
"Were you just belittling my son and your young master, you commoner!"
A voice came from somewhere, Lady Catelyn suddenly appeared beside us. Robb quickly sat up. At the same time, Jon was slowly moving aside to avoid attracting attention. Jon could clearly see that Lady Stark's anger was directed at me. Robb tried to defend me.
"Mom, we were just joking. Please don't take what you said seriously."
Lady Stark looked at Jon and me with disdain and said.
"I'm already very angry with the people around you. I don't understand why your father would allow you to associate with these bastards and commoners. Bastards and commoners are not suitable to be friends with a future lord."
I met Lady Stark's gaze with disdain, while Jon sadly lowered his head, searching for a hole to enter.
"Let me ask you a question, commoner? I heard your father was also a bastard. Hmph, a bastard's blood is impure after all. Guards, seize this ordinary thug. Your becoming a squire is a stain on the name of knight."
As the guards around me began to attack, I could not suppress the rising anger that surged like boiling water. Suddenly, my magic went out of control, and I roared.
"My lady!"
My shout was like thunder, for my voice was imbued with magic. It shook the entire Winterfell. I saw goosebumps rise on Lady Stark and the guards around me; I could almost see their bones trembling. Everyone froze like statues, and many slowly gathered toward us because of the commotion.
"My lady, you may insult me as you please. I will never disrespect you, for you are the mother of my friend and the Lady of Winterfell, but if you wish to tarnish my father's reputation, I will not remain silent."
I could tell she was furious, her face was flushed red.
"Such rudeness! Guards, what are you waiting for? Arrest him and punish him for his disrespect to the master."
( Catelyn's perspective)
How could a child have such a terrible voice? To be a bastard and to have bastard blood is a sin, just as the " Seven " said.
To prevent my bastard from stealing what my son deserves, I need more than just caution. I also need to be wary of this monster. How can a twelve-year-old kill hundreds of bandits? Even Dragonknight and Sir Arthur Dayne aren't such formidable warriors at that age. This is a golden opportunity; I must bring him down before I miss it.
What punishment would be given for such a crime?
The guard next to me said hesitantly.
"Ten strokes of the cane, or a flogging, madam. But that shall be decided by Lord Stark."
I know Eddard would never punish this bastard for his bloodline.
" Lord Stark has more important things to do. We can't keep bothering him with punishing a commoner. While he's away, I'll punish the wicked."
After I finished speaking, the commoner said...
"If you let me finish speaking, I'm willing to accept 20 lashes."
He still despised me, and I began to hate him to the core. But he overestimated his physical strength; after a few lashes, he would beg to stop.
I allow...
(Male protagonist's perspective)
I continued to infuse my voice with magic. It was as if I were speaking through a megaphone.
"This is the North! The Seven have no say here. A lord may have built a temple so his wife could pray, but that doesn't mean we, the followers of the Old Gods, welcome the fallen Seven here."
Some people in the crowd began to cheer in agreement.
"I agree!"
"There's no place for the Seven here!"
"In the North, in the eyes of the Old Gods, there is no difference between those of noble birth and those of lowly birth, for they cannot choose their own birth. Yes, honor and the Old Gods require us to be faithful to our spouses, but this by no means means that being a bastard is a sin!"
At this moment, Rodrik and Lord Stark arrived at the training ground and spoke.
"For Old Gods's sake, what exactly happened here?"
