I could hardly believe my eyes. Five Direwolf appeared before me, and I couldn't find them even after walking to the other side of the wall. I opened my mouth to speak, but no sound came out. Robb stood in front of me with his hands on his hips, looking smug.
"Where did you find these?"
"My father, Jon, and I were patrolling in the north when we found them on our way back. Their mother had bled to death after being gored by a deer's antlers while hunting."
I held " Grey Wind " in my hands; its fur was smoky gray, and its eyes were yellow.
A certain feeling within me tells me to secretly bind myself to it, but even if I wanted to, I couldn't.
Anyway, I don't have enough soul space, and I shouldn't take the wolf from the eldest House Stark child, but even for a one-year-old Rickon, there is a wolf.
According to Robb, the black, long-haired wolf with emerald green eyes belongs to Rickon. But I wonder if I have enough magic to bind myself to a Direwolf.
I channeled my magic into the Grey Wind, but Grey Wind immediately roared and became aggressive, my magic having a counterproductive effect. It's impossible for me to transfer my magic to the Grey Wind. This could mean two things: first, the cub is under protection; second, it may already be bound to someone.
I immediately turned to Robb and grabbed his wrist. Robb was surprised but didn't say anything right away. I channeled my magic into him, examining his body, and as I tried to enter, his body stood before me like a thin barrier. The magic, it was there. He had 25 points of magic, Robb was Warg, and had a close connection with the Grey Wind.
I immediately began picking up the other wolf cubs one by one, trying to establish a connection with them. Not only that, the wolf in my arms started to become aggressive. Seeing this, Robb said.
" Aermir, what's going on? What are you doing?"
Except for Rickon's cubs, all the other wolf cubs were bound, and all the Stark children were Warg. I turned to look at Jon. Now that I knew how the others felt about their magic, I could simply use the " Verification " function to measure Jon's. Jon's magic was much higher than Robb's; he had 56 points of magic.
"It's nothing, I'm just very surprised. I've never seen Direwolf before, you know how much I love animals."
"Yes, I know. You might have Crow and dogs, but I have a Direwolf."
My face twitched; I really wanted to slap Robb's smug face, but it was true. "I'm so envious," Robb said, "I started to walk away."
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going beyond the Wall; I won't come back until I find the Direwolf!"
"Come on, you don't have to go there. You can pet my Direwolf anytime."
When he emphasized "my Direwolf," I could feel a vein popping on my forehead. I turned and ran to Robb, jumping onto him.
We began to wrestle, and I used all my strength without any Buff; our stamina was very close. As we were playing, a soldier came over and told me that Lord Stark was summoning me.
We stood silently in his sunroom. I had been there for five minutes. As we stood there quietly, he was looking at some reports. Suddenly, he slammed his fist heavily on the table and said...
"Why did you do something so foolish, arrogant, and immature? I thought you had matured during your two years in the north, and in a few days I would have knighted you. But judging from your behavior, you are not worthy of this honor. The only thing I don't understand is why you put my wife in this situation? I know you are a strange child, not like a commoner."
He paused, then took a deep breath.
"Most of the time, I thought it was because of your talent, but even the most arrogant commoner wouldn't act like you did a week ago. Sometimes I feel I made a mistake in giving you freedom. Many times I felt I should have disciplined you more strictly. Why did you do that?"
"My lord, you must have deduced both the general cause and the more selfish one. I did this to draw Lady Stark's anger to me. That way, she wouldn't be paying attention to anyone else."
"What do you mean by that?"
"My lord, you may spend most of your time away from Winterfell due to your patrols, but you must be aware of how Lady Stark treats Jon; she treats him like a servant, or worse. I know that in the South, they live under the shadow of the Blackfyre Rebellion for years, but Jon did nothing to her, and Jon couldn't decide his own birth. If I were the person she hated most, she would give Jon some breathing room."
He seemed to know nothing.
"Yes, it's understandable that Cat doesn't like Jon, but how did you come to the conclusion that she was mean to him?"
"My lord, she will absolutely not let Jon practice his swordsmanship while you are away, nor will she allow us to play with him."
"If she had given such an order, I would have known long ago, young man. You must be careful what you say and not blurt out everything you're thinking just because I favor you." He seemed to be getting angry.
"My lord, Lady Stark isn't stupid. She knows you'll find out if she gives such an order. But if she uses different soldiers and knights each time, and only orders him to do chores first, then he can train. No one will know, and no one will report to you. My lord, if you had to do chores like cleaning the stables for hours from a young age, would you still have the strength to practice swordsmanship?"
"Jon Benjen has time to practice his sword when you're not around, and that's just one of the things she does. I know our lady isn't inherently bad, but she's hurting Jon, and I want to protect those around me."
