The suffocating, chilly aura in the room had barely dissipated when hurried footsteps sounded in the distance outside the courtyard gate.
"Xi'er, how are you? Are you hurt? How could you go to see the Fourth Prince all by yourself? What would Grandpa do if something happened to you?"
The moment Old Master Mu heard that Mu Yunxi had actually gone to the Fourth Prince's residence alone, he rushed back from the imperial palace. As soon as he entered the General's residence, he hurried toward Mu Yunxi's little courtyard.

"This was the compensation that damned stone-face promised me. He never said how much. Hehe, anyway, it's all mine!" Mu Yunxi curled her lips, laughing smugly to herself as she recalled that damned stone-face's furious expression.
Her little fox-like look left Old General Mu in wonderfully high spirits. Rather than scold her at all, he smiled dotingly and indulged her.
"Exactly! That pretty boy dared bully my precious granddaughter. He deserved to be robbed!"
Old Master Mu felt not the slightest embarrassment. Chuckling, he gathered everything up and stuffed it all into his storage ring.
"Oh, right, Grandpa, I'm so poor. What should I do?" Mu Yunxi looked at her grandfather with a beaming smile, blinking her bright little eyes.
The sight made the corner of Old Master Mu's eye twitch. Could someone who had just handed him a great heap of treasures be a pauper? Still, when it came to his precious granddaughter, Old Master Mu was utterly doting and indulgent.
Without even asking what Mu Yunxi wanted the money for, he handed her the key to the accounts room, moving her even more!
After Old Master Mu left the courtyard, Mu Yunxi took the money and happily headed out.
