Li Yan and Dong Fuyi raced across realms to bring Mu Guyue and her child to the Black Devil Race, then set out for the Gui Water Immortal Sect. During the decades of travel, Dong Fuyi guided Li Yan’s cultivation, which advanced rapidly as Li Yan carefully stabilized his foundation and kept his soul-cultivation technique secret.

• Dong Fuyi used teleportation arrays and dangerous journeys through spatial turbulence to bring Li Yan across realms and deliver Mu Guyue and her child to the Black Devil Race.
