Li Yan and Mu Guyue left the Pojun Sect to investigate Guiqulaixi and traveled to Ghostsound City as part of a military rotation. They took command of the South Fang Beacon Tower, where a surprise assault began while Li Yan was away and Mu Guyue fought the enemy commander.

• Mu Guyue and Ren Yanyu defeated the remaining Bright Flame Sect cultivators, while Li Yan killed Han Zhumei and the Pojun Sect won the contest.
• Li Yan visited the Dizhen Domain, delivered Tang Feng’s message, and helped provide materials for the Soul-Suppressing Palace before returning to the Pojun Sect.
• Jia Fugui and Donglin Tingyue told Li Yan that Guiqulaixi might be connected to the Purple Divine Dragon Elephant lineage, and Li Yan later learned that the shop had appeared in Ghostsound City.

Li Yan and Mu Guyue escaped Zhao Haiyang’s pursuit, then reunited with Su Hong in the upper realm and arranged passage to the Jieyou Realm. Su Hong revealed that a spatial node might lead Li Yan back to the lower realm, but its passage was dangerously unstable.

• Mu Guyue and Li Yan defended the Beacon Tower, earned Zhao Haiyang’s recognition, and later accepted a joint mission away from the camp.
• Li Yan and Mu Guyue uncovered Zhao Haiyang’s attempts to endanger them, killed his aides Kong Qianqiu and Min Bufu, and used Li Yan’s disguise to lure Zhao Haiyang into Ghost Sound City.
• Zhao Haiyang was trapped in the city after Li Yan’s avatar detonated, while Li Yan and Mu Guyue escaped and searched for clues about Red Luo Dao.
• Li Yan contacted Guiqulaixi about Su Hong and sent messages toward her and the Phantom Sect, then returned to Po Jun Sect with Mu Guyue.

Li Yan and Mu Guyue descended to the lower realm, where Li Yan returned to the Phantom Sect amid a devastating attack by mysterious upper-realm cultivators. After helping defeat the attackers and reuniting with Dong Fuyi, Li Yan learned the sect had been targeted because of his Five Elements cultivation and chose to protect it by erasing the memories of those who knew his secrets.

• Li Yan and Mu Guyue traveled through a dangerous spatial node to the lower realm, then separated so Mu Guyue could seek Mu Sha while Li Yan headed for the Soul Prison Clan.
• A gray-robed elder sent six cultivators to attack the Phantom Sect and search for information about Li Yan and the Five Immortal Gates, but Dong Fuyi intervened as the sect’s defenders fought back.
• Li Yan returned during the battle, killed two Spirit Transformation attackers, and joined Gu Jiuqi in treating the wounded while keeping his own cultivation secret.
• Li Yan stabilized Zi Kun after his cultivation deviation and used a Soul-Returning Pill to begin restoring the fragments of Qianji’s soul.
• Zhao Min told Li Yan that she had a True Essence Pill for Bai Rou and relayed what the yellow-robed Daoist had said about the Wind God Continent.

Li Yan brought his family and companions to the Immortal-Spirit Realm, reunited with the Phantom Sect, and continued searching for a way to save Bai Rou. After arranging Mu Guyue and Mu Sha’s return to the Black Devil Race, he traveled with Dong Fuyi to the Gui Water Immortal Sect.

• Li Yan learned Bai Rou’s consciousness injury might be treated with rare herbs, then arranged for his loved ones to ascend through a Cangxuan Realm node while leaving Feng Hongyue to guard the lower realm.
• Li Yan reunited with Mu Guyue and Mu Sha, challenged Mu Sha to prove his strength, and brought them through the ascension node with Dong Fuyi.
• Li Yan and his companions reached the upper-realm Phantom Sect, where Da Cen received them and the elders investigated the mysterious attack on the lower-realm sect.
• A medical expert told Li Yan that a Longyue Qing Immortal Herb and a Dreamreturn Ant demon core might help Bai Rou, giving him another possible route to save her.
• Li Yan helped Mu Guyue and Mu Sha return to the Black Devil Race, secretly protected them from investigators, and taught Mu Sha a basic Soul Cultivator method.
