At a thought from him, the ghost in the downpour turned around and ran toward the ruined tower. Its speed rapidly slowed, though it still had to evade the lightning strikes raining down from the sky.
After the ghost had run some distance, its reduced speed seemed to make the lightning in the air lose its target. After striking down several final bolts, the thunder rolled away into the distance with what seemed like lingering reluctance...
Once the ghost entered the ruined tower, Qiu Zhongnuo immediately inspected it. After examining it carefully, he found nothing different from usual.
After some thought, Qiu Zhongnuo once again sent the ghost into the wind and rain. He had it run into the distance as it had at the beginning, then circle around the ruined tower, spiraling inward as it ran swiftly.
Thus, lightning once more appeared amid rumbling thunder, continuously striking down in its wake!
