Li Yan and Hong Yin reached the edge of the area. After carefully evading the overlapping divine sense sweeps of the Huafu Sect cultivators, they made their way into the lake.
Since this place was fairly far from the Huafu Sect, its cultivation resources, though decent, were not particularly precious. Thus, the cultivators stationed around the lake were mainly disciples in the Spirit Transformation and Nascent Soul realms.
Having hidden in the Huafu Sect for so long, Hong Yin had already investigated the situation here thoroughly. The Huafu Sect had also secretly stationed Void Refinement cultivators in all four directions around this Salt Lake—eight in total!

In their daily routines, these Void Refinement Realm cultivators would quietly venture out on covert patrols. Each would patrol tens of thousands of li to either side, aided by the extended reach of their powerful divine sense. Covering the entire perimeter of the lake was not particularly difficult for them.
This had forced Hong Yin to proceed cautiously on her previous visit. She had made careful inquiries about their patrols, only to find that there was no pattern or fixed procedure at all.
This was also a result of the meticulous minds of the Huafu Sect's female cultivators. They could account for more possibilities and therefore handled matters with greater care.
The Huafu Sect's cultivation arts were exceptionally formidable. Hong Yin was not confident she could deal with two of them at once, especially with teams of Spirit Transformation and Nascent Soul Cultivators also on patrol. If those teams joined the attack, escaping
