Ch. 481Get Some Rest
After the journey to the Grove, Stelle and Castorice returned to Okhema and agreed to rest while Aglaea handled urgent duties. Castorice wondered why Stelle was unaffected by her deadly power, leaving Stelle to ponder the black-robed swordsman’s connection to Mimi and the authority of “Years.”
- After offering condolences to the bereaved families, Trianne returned with her milk tea, and Aglaea sent Stelle messages thanking her and urging her to rest.
- Castorice recognized Aglaea’s writing as the Garmentmaker’s, replied on Stelle’s phone, and Anaxa departed, wary of the woman whose golden threads reached throughout Okhema.
- Castorice warned Stelle not to underestimate the Black Tide, explained that the Grove had fallen in a day, and hoped Mydei would decide soon about the trial of “Strife.”
- Castorice speculated that the black-robed swordsman’s aura of death came from having killed many people and asked why Stelle had been unaffected by her curse.
- Castorice encouraged Stelle to rest, while Stelle recalled sensing a power in the swordsman that shared Mimi’s origin but seemed purer, perhaps the divine authority of “Years.”
