"Oh, the little park across from the school, a good place to settle a fight--"
Before Chu Ziyu could finish speaking, Lu Lin mounted his bicycle and walked away, saying, "You guys go first, don't tell the headmaster."
Chu Ziyu's eyes widened in surprise. "Does A-Lin dislike Yan Heqing that much? She actually stood by and watched him die!"
Xie Yunjie seemed thoughtful, " Yan Heqing is a girl?"
"Bullshit!" Chu Ziyu rolled her eyes. "A real man."
Xie Yunjie suddenly whistled, rode off on his bike, and said, "I'm off! I just bought a game; come to my house to play today."

On the sidewalk, two shadows gradually overlapped, and Yan Heqing also took a sip of coffee.

"Of course, I'm looking at you too."

Yan Heqing was exceptionally busy at the end of the year, and it was common for him to stay in the laboratory until two or three in the morning.
The motion-sensor lights in the old building where the lab is located have been taking a long time to turn on these past few days, for some reason.
On the last day of the year, Yan Heqing had breakfast and then rushed to the laboratory.
He was changing his shoes in the entryway when Lu Lin walked over, still wearing an apron, and handed him a box of clean blueberries. "Want to finish early today? Chu Ziyu invited us to go out to sea for New Year's Eve."
Yan Heqing was instantly excited when he heard about going out to sea; he hadn't gone fishing for almost two months. However, thinking about his experiments, he shook his head and quickly tied his shoelaces. "You go with them; I won't make it."
He grabbed the food container and ran away.

He went to the restroom to clean his hands, and when he returned to the break room, there were untouched blueberries on the table.
He pulled out a chair, sat down, and gently opened the lid.
Bathed in the soft yellow light, the blueberries, about the size of longans, gleamed with a bluish glow. They weren't as fresh as they were in the morning, but they were still incredibly tempting.
Yan Heqing's eyes curved into a smile as he took out a piece and chewed it slowly.
After finishing with the blueberries, Yan Heqing packed his bag, checked the lab one last time, carefully locked the door, and went home with his bag.
Reaching the stairwell, he found it pitch black and he couldn't see the path at all. He then remembered that the motion-sensor light had completely broken when he returned last night.
Yan Heqing took out his phone, which he would turn off when he entered the lab. He pressed the power button, took a step in the darkness, and immediately light appeared at his feet, followed quickly by the next step.
The motion-sensor lights in the stairwell used to have very low wattage, Yan Heqing would sometimes stumble and fall when he was too tired. Now that they've been replaced with step lights, the stairs are much brighter.
