The Allied fleet emerged from hyperspace jump, and the sight before them was awe-inspiring even to the most battle-hardened soldiers.
This is the Void Rift. Not the enormous rift one might imagine, but an incredibly vast and desolate starfield. Ordinary starlight becomes sparse and dim here, as if absorbed by some invisible force. The "texture" of the space is completely different from elsewhere, like a transparent veil, through which one can vaguely sense the chaotic and powerful Void energy surging. At the center of this desolation, a huge, slowly rotating gravitational vortex is clearly visible—the crucial jump point connecting the two starfields, and the core they must protect.
"The spatial structure is extremely unstable," Nami gravely, looking at the wildly fluctuating data on the sensors. "Large-scale fleet jumps and energy attacks could trigger spatial collapse. Conventional formations have limited effectiveness here."
"What a troublesome battlefield." Zoro, sword in hand, surveyed the Void, searching for terrain that might be advantageous for a swordsman—even though the place was almost entirely deserted.
"All ships shall disperse and deploy according to the predetermined plan to establish a three-dimensional defense network! Engineering ships shall immediately begin deploying early warning systems and temporary fortifications!" Sabo's orders were transmitted throughout the fleet via the communication network.
The coalition ships, like scattered stardust, began vying for advantageous positions in this desolate starfield. The engineering ships released a large number of detection buoys and automatic turrets, like a net, attempting to bring this Void under their control.
The Thousand Sunny, modified to serve as the core of mobility and the strongest combat force, hovered at a relatively forward position on the defensive line. Allen stood at the bow, his eyes closed, sensing. Here, both the " World Seed " and the " Scent of the Abyss " within him reacted strongly. The World Seed conveyed a warning about the fragile nature of this space, while the Scent of the Abyss, like a shark that had smelled blood, became more active, as if calling for something to arrive.
"They're coming soon." Allen opened his eyes, his silver-purple pupils reflecting the distorted Void.
The first shadow
Before he could finish speaking, the piercing alarm ripped through the silence!
"Large-scale spatial distortion detected! Near the jump point!" The observer's voice carried a hint of panic.
Near the enormous gravitational vortex, the space rippled violently like the surface of water tossed with a stone! Then, huge, ferocious shadows, like evil beasts emerging from the deep sea, slowly broke free from the constraints of space, revealing their terrifying forms.
These were ships unlike the " Predator." They were much larger and more heavily structured, with bows resembling gaping, tooth-filled Maw. Their bodies were covered in dark, blood-scabbed armor, radiating a suffocating aura of devouring and destruction. The hulls were covered with eerie green energy patterns that flickered like breath.
"' The Devourer '... the main fleet of the Abyss!" Robin's voice came through the communication, confirming everyone's guess.
The sheer number... stretched as far as the eye could see! Like locusts swarming across the land, they densely filled the airspace near the jump point, their scale far exceeding that of the allied fleet! Their mere presence caused this already unstable Void to tremble slightly.
Suppressive confrontation
The Abyss Fleet did not immediately launch an attack. They simply hovered there silently, their eerie green gazes (if those energy patterns could be called gazes) locked onto the heavily fortified allied defenses. An invisible, immense pressure surged forth like a tidal wave, assaulting the minds of every allied warrior. It was the instinctive fear born from the sheer number and overwhelming power disparity.
"Gulp..." Usopp swallowed hard, his legs felt weak, but he held on tightly to the railing and didn't back down.
Chopper transformed into his powerful form, letting out a low growl to encourage himself and his companions.
Even Luffy's smile faded, his sharp eyes fixed on the endless sea of enemy ships.
"Stay calm! All units, stay at your posts!" Sabo's voice remained steady, conveying confidence.
At this moment of extreme tension, another unexpected event occurs!
In the airspace flanking and rear of the Allied fleet, another space began to flow like mercury. Then, a smaller fleet, yet exuding an even more eerie and dangerous aura, quietly appeared—the Pale Fleet of the Temporal Overseer! They appeared like ghosts at the edge of the battlefield, neither approaching the Allied forces nor the Abyss, but simply hovering silently, like judges of the highest court, coldly watching everything that was about to happen.
Ahead lies the all-consuming Abyss Force, behind lies the ambiguous and menacing Temporal Overseer.
The allied forces are now in a perilous situation, caught in a pincer attack!
"Those persistent ghosts..." Ace's fist flared with flames, his tone filled with disgust.
Allen took a deep breath, feeling the surge of power and the heavy responsibility within him. He looked at Luffy, Luffy was also looking at him. Their eyes met, and they both saw the unwavering determination in each other's eyes.
There is no way out but to fight to the death!
"Prepare..." Allen's voice, clearly amplified, echoed throughout the Thousand Sunny, "Prepare for the impact!"
As if in response to his words, the prows of the Abyss Fleet, resembling Maw, simultaneously emitted a chilling, eerie green light! Destructive energy was gathering frantically!
The Void Rift, this crossroads of destiny, has finally been ignited by the flames of war!
