The Thousand Sunny was violently tossed about in the Chaos torrent. Having just escaped the collapsing Hall of Echo, it found itself in an even more dangerous situation. Without the stabilizing effect of the Hall of Echo, the entire Cradle of Chaos began to spiral out of control like a flood bursting its banks.
"A storm of rules detected at 30 degrees to port!" Nami gripped the control stick tightly, her voice shrill with tension. "Space rifts are spreading to starboard as well!"
Franky frantically tried to maneuver at the control panel: "Super-Emergency Evasion Mode activated! But this can't go on!"
The ship emitted a teeth-grinding groan, and the energy readings of the protective shield plummeted. Looking out the porthole, the Chaos energy that had initially appeared somewhat disordered had now transformed into a raging torrent, causing even space itself to crumble in its wake.
With Chopper's help, Allen struggled to his feet. His face was ashen, but his eyes were unusually resolute. "The collapse of the cradle has begun. According to the Hall of Echo, we have at most three hours left."
"Three hours?" Usopp's voice trembled with tears. "And then what? The whole universe is doomed?"
"What's the solution?" Zoro asked succinctly, his hand still resting on the hilt of his sword.
All eyes were on Allen. He took a deep breath and began to explain the key information he had obtained in the Hall of Echo:
Repairing the breeding ground requires three conditions: First, the anchor points of the rules must be rebuilt at the core of the collapse; second, someone must become the new pillar of balance, replacing the original system that has failed; third... a huge price must be paid.
He paused, glancing at his companions' faces. "Those who become the pillars of balance will forever be one with the cradle, just like the original guardians. And... this process requires an immeasurable expenditure of life force."
A deathly silence fell on the deck. Only the howling of the storm outside reminded them of the urgency of time.
"To be... one forever?" Chopper repeated softly, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Is this why Joy Boy wasn't fully repaired back then?" Robin asked softly, "Because he knew the price?"
Allen nodded heavily. "He chose to temporarily stabilize the system using the essence of 'joy,' leaving the real solution for the future."
Suddenly, the ship tilted violently, a bolt of Inazuma grazing the protective shield and triggering a series of explosions. Franky shouted, "The left engine is damaged! We must make a decision quickly!"
Luffy adjusted his straw Straw Hat, his expression serious for the first time. "What would happen if no one became that pillar?"
" Chaos will devour everything." Allen's voice was soft, but every word carried immense weight. "All the world we know, all the people, all the dreams... will vanish."
Sanji lit a cigarette, the smoke swirling in the trembling air. "So, either someone sacrifices themselves, or we all die together?"
"It doesn't necessarily require sacrifice." A complex light flashed in Allen's eyes. "If... if I were to do this, perhaps there would be a glimmer of hope."
He raised his hand, and the phantom of the World Seed appeared in his palm. "The primordial power of the World Seed, combined with my understanding of the rules of Chaos, might allow me to retain a portion of my consciousness while becoming a pillar. But this is just a theory; the success rate... is less than ten percent."
"No way!" Luffy was the first to object, "How can we let our crewmates do such a thing!"
"But this is the only hope," Allen said calmly. "And isn't this the answer we've been searching for? How to balance order and Chaos, how to protect everyone's dreams..."
Another violent tremor followed, accompanied by the piercing sound of metal tearing apart. Jinbe's calm voice rang out. "The starboard armor has been pierced by shrapnel, and seawater is rushing in!"
A crisis is imminent; there is no time to hesitate.
Nami suddenly stood up. "I have a plan! Maybe we don't need to sacrifice anyone!"
She quickly operated the navigator, bringing up the structural diagram of the Cradle of Chaos: "Look here! If we simultaneously input stable energy at three different critical nodes, we might be able to temporarily delay the collapse and buy us more time!"
"Three nodes?" Luo frowned. "That means we have to split up."
"That's right!" Nami's eyes shone with hope. " Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji will each lead a team to these three points. Allen and I will stay here to calculate the best timing."
Luffy immediately made a decision. "Okay! That's settled! Zoro, go to the eastern node; Sanji, go to the west; I'll go to the north! The rest of you, split up and move out!"
Amidst deafening explosions and piercing alarms, the Straw Hat Pirates embarked on their most dangerous split-up operation in history.
Zoro, along with Chopper, Brook, and some of the shipwrights, boarded a small assault boat, which was instantly swallowed by the Chaos, raging waves;
Sanji's group, along with Law Usopp, sailed in the opposite direction on another ship;
Luffy, along with Jinbe, Ace, and others, boarded a third ship and disappeared into the storm of rules.
On the main deck of the Thousand Sunny, only Allen, Nami, Robin, and Franky remained.
"They... will they be alright?" Nami's voice trembled slightly as she gazed in the direction her companions had disappeared.
Allen didn't answer, but focused intently on sensing the energy fluctuations in the three directions. In his eyes, Chaos patterns and orderly light were fiercely clashing.
The real countdown begins now.
