Bathed in the soft glow of the newly formed, Cradle of Chaos, the Thousand Sunny embarked on its journey home. The deck was filled with the joy and tranquility of surviving a catastrophe. However, this tranquility did not last long.
"Beep beep beep--!"
A sharp, urgent alarm sounded from Nami's GPS, shattering the peaceful atmosphere.
"What's going on?" Luffy asked, his mouth full of meat.
Nami stared intently at the screen, her brow furrowed. "Received a very weak, intermittent distress signal... source unknown, encoding method never seen before... but the background noise is very unusual, mixed with... a kind of unsettling 'gnawing' sensation?"
"A gnawing sensation?" Robin walked over.
"Hmm," Nami tried adjusting the frequency, attempting to make the signal clearer, "It's like... the regular ripples created when something is eroding and devouring the normal structure of space."
Upon hearing this, Allen's expression shifted, and he closed his eyes to carefully sense the surrounding cosmic space. After a moment, he opened his eyes, a hint of solemnity in them. "Miss Nami's feeling is correct. To our port side, in a star field about three light-years away, the spatial structure does indeed exhibit abnormal 'brittleness' and 'holes,' with faint traces of alien energy seeping out."
"Other energy?" Jinbe asked calmly, "Is it different from Chaos energy?"
"Completely different," Allen stated definitively. " Chaos energy is essentially an extreme manifestation of the universe's own rules. Though violent, its origin lies within this realm. And this energy... is cold, lifeless, possessing a pure 'predatory' and 'repulsive' characteristic; it seems to refuse assimilation into the rules of this universe."
"Could it be..." Usopp's voice began to tremble, "... invaders from another world?"
This conjecture instantly heightened the tension on deck. They had just resolved a cosmic-level internal crisis; were they about to face another external threat?
"Shall we go take a look?" Luffy adjusted his straw Straw Hat, his eyes filled with curiosity and determination.
"Of course!" Allen nodded. "If it really is an interdimensional invasion, we must find out the reason and stop it. Otherwise, the entire universe may face the danger of being eroded and disintegrated."
Guided by the signal source and Allen's perception, the Thousand Sunny adjusted its course and headed towards the area where the anomaly had occurred.
As the distance closed, the anomaly ahead could be observed with the naked eye, without the need for instruments. It was a remote star system known as the " The Lethe Stream." At this moment, the space at the edge of the star system resembled shattered glass, filled with twisted and irregular cracks. Some areas even had enormous cavities, from which a chilling, otherworldly dark purple light emanated. Faintly visible were bizarre creatures, seemingly composed of shadows and sharp geometric shapes, wandering near those cavities.
"The spatial structure has been forcibly torn apart..." Franky gasped as he looked at the scan results. "What kind of power could do this?"
"It's not a matter of strength," Allen observed the cracks carefully, "It's more like... finding a 'weak point' in the rules of the universe, or using some kind of ' Key ' that we can't understand."
"They seem to be... gathering something?" Robin noticed that the otherworldly creatures were probing into the shattered space with tentacles or similar organs, drawing out some kind of silvery energy flow.
"They're extracting the fundamental rules!" Allen's expression changed. "These beings are devouring the very foundation of this universe! We must stop them!"
However, just as the Thousand Sunny was about to approach, the nearest spatial rift suddenly fluctuated violently, and a dark purple energy pulse lashed out like a tentacle!
"Get out of the way!" Nami shouted.
Franky jerked the rudder, but the energy pulse was moving faster than expected, and the edge still grazed the protective shield.
Buzz--!
The Thousand Sunny shuddered violently, and its shield energy plummeted by 30% instantly! Even more disturbingly, the shield's structure briefly "failed" in the hit area, as if the physical constants that make up the energy shield had been temporarily altered!
"Their attacks can disrupt the rules!" Luo immediately analyzed, "Extremely dangerous!"
"Looks like we've found a new adventure!" Luffy rubbed his hands together, his eyes sharply fixed on the aliens roaming through the shattered space. "Our goal this time is—to blast all these uninvited bastards away!"
