A deafening roar echoed from the direction of the frozen castle, causing even the thick ice to tremble slightly. The ice warriors who had been surrounding the Thousand Sunny now rushed towards the castle without looking back, as if some terrible event was taking place there.
"Looks like they're in big trouble!" Luffy's eyes lit up, and he stretched out his rubber arm to grab a distant ice rock. "Let's hurry and follow them!"
"Hey! Luffy! Don't act on your own!" Nami stomped her foot in anger, but watching her captain quickly disappear into the distance, she could only helplessly shout to the others, "Let's follow! Chopper, prepare warm clothing and emergency medicine! Franky, check the ship's antifreeze measures!"
The Straw Hat Pirates sprang into action. Franky activated the icebreaker on the hull, and the Thousand Sunny trudged forward with difficulty but determination across the ice. The closer they got to the castle, the more biting the cold became, and tiny ice crystals began to drift in the air.
When the castle finally came into full view, everyone was stunned by the sight before them. It was a magnificent building constructed entirely of ice crystals, with towering spires piercing the gray sky, and the entire castle radiating a faint blue light. But at this moment, the castle's surface was covered with cracks, and in some places, chunks of ice were still breaking off.
"Those cracks... they didn't form naturally," Robin observed carefully, "They seem more like they were caused by some kind of internal impact."
At the castle entrance, the former ice warriors stood in a circle, their ice spears pointing towards the center, yet they seemed afraid of something and dared not step forward. In the center of the circle, a figure was curled up in agony—a young woman dressed in tattered finery, half of her body covered in unnatural ice, while the other half faintly emitted a fiery red light. The forces of ice and fire clashed fiercely within her, causing her to groan in pain.
"Your Highness!" the lead ice warrior cried anxiously, yet dared not approach. "Please hold on!"
Just then, the woman suddenly raised her head. One of her eyes was ice blue, while the other was a fiery golden-red! She let out a superhuman roar, and a powerful burst of cold air erupted from her body, instantly freezing the nearby ice warriors into ice sculptures!
"It's out of control! The princess's curse has struck again!" The ice warriors retreated in panic.
"A curse?" Nami, who had just arrived, caught the word.
Luffy had already rushed forward. "Hey! Are you alright?"
"Idiot! Don't go over there!" Zoro and Sanji acted simultaneously, one grabbing Luffy and the other blocking his way. The heat wave generated by Sanji's kick collided with the princess's icy aura, stirring up a cloud of white mist.
"Seriously, I knew it would turn out like this..." Nami sighed, rubbing her forehead.
Allen stepped forward, his Definition Domain silently expanding as he sensed the energy flow emanating from the princess. His brow furrowed. "Two drastically different forces are clashing within her... one is extreme cold, originating from this land; the other... is the embers of flame, very ancient, but of extremely high essence."
Seemingly startled by Allen's perception, the princess abruptly turned to them, her frozen half of face contorted in pain, while the burning half displayed rage. She roared in a double-layered voice, "Leave... here... or... destruction..."
"We want to help you!" Chopper shouted bravely. "I'm a doctor, let me see how you are!"
The princess—or rather, a part of her consciousness—seemed to understand Chopper's words, and hesitated briefly. But the next moment, the conflict between ice and fire intensified again, and she let out a piercing scream as even more chilling energy erupted from her!
"Watch out!" Jinbe strode forward, adopting Fish-Man Karate stance, gently but firmly deflecting the incoming chill.
Ace stood beside Allen, his brow furrowed. "Brother, that flame within her... it feels familiar, yet somehow different."
Just then, a weary, aged voice echoed from deep within the castle, "Outsiders... if you truly wish to help Princess Illya, please enter. But be quick... her time is running out."
Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw that the castle gate had been opened a crack at some point, and an old woman leaning on an ice cane was standing inside, her eyes filled with worry.
The ice warriors exchanged glances, and finally, the leader nodded to the Straw Hat Pirates: "Since the High Priest has permitted you to enter... please follow me. But please remember, in the Eternal Winter Domain, every choice can have unpredictable consequences."
Luffy grinned. "Interesting! Let's go in and take a look!"
The Straw Hat Pirates followed the Ice Warrior into the frozen castle. The heavy ice doors slowly closed behind them, shutting out the biting cold wind. The castle's interior was even more magnificent than they had imagined, with ancient murals carved into the crystal-clear ice walls, recording the kingdom's long history.
But deep within the castle, a truth about curses, sacrifices, and unfulfilled promises awaits them.
