The Super Soldier Company the universe, the sixth border outpost.
This silver-white space station floats at the exit of the intergalactic Sea Route, like an exquisite geometric object embedded in the starry sky. It is the newly established outpost, responsible for monitoring the stability of the Sea Route and receiving intergalactic visitors.
Today, the outpost welcomed its largest visiting fleet in history.
The New Thousand Sunny, along with the Red Hair Pirates ' Red Fosse, the Fish-Man Race's Deepsea Ark, the Order Fleet led by the Star Speaker, and seven escort ships from affiliated kingdoms, a total of twelve ships, passed through the verification gate in turn.
"Welcome to the Super Soldier Company Universe." Angel Yan's holographic projection appeared on the bridge of each ship. Today, she was wearing her formal commander's uniform. "I am Angel Yan, in charge of welcoming you all."
"Miss Yan!" Luffy waved at the projection, "Long time no see!"
Yan smiled and nodded, "Long time no see, Luffy. Your fleet is much larger than expected."
Shanks appeared on the Red Voss's communication screen. "Just added some new friends, hope you don't mind?"
"Of course not. In fact—" Yan's expression turned serious, "You've come at just the right time. We've run into some trouble and might need your help."
Inside the outpost's conference room, key representatives from each fleet gathered.
Besides the Straw Hat Pirates and the core members of the Red Hair Pirates, there are also Princess Shirahoshi, the Star Speaker, and Ge Xiaolun, Rena, and Liu Chuang from the Super Soldier Company.
"Three days ago, we detected unusual spatial fluctuations near Sea Route Seven." Yan pulled up the holographic star map; a red alert area was flashing. "Preliminary assessment indicates a high-dimensional energy leak, and the fluctuation characteristics show a 37% similarity to the Gate of the Void incident two years ago."
"But what's even stranger is—" Ge Xiaolun added, "All three reconnaissance teams we sent out have lost contact. The last footage transmitted back showed that they encountered some kind of... non-physical attack."
The holographic projection displayed a blurry image: outside the porthole of the reconnaissance ship, countless distorted shadows appeared in the dark starry sky. These shadows had no fixed shape; sometimes they resembled liquid ink, sometimes drifting smoke, and sometimes they coalesced into humanoid outlines.
"They're gnawing at the ship's energy shields," Rena said, pointing to the rapidly decreasing shield data on the screen, "Like... parasites."
Zoro frowned. "How can you attack if you don't have a physical form?"
"Erosion at the energy level," the Star Speaker suddenly spoke. This former Triangle Bodies Commander now resembled a human, but his skin still bore faint purple markings, and his eyes were completely silver-white, without pupils.
Everyone looked at him.
The Star Speaker was silent for a few seconds, seemingly organizing his thoughts—as a newly born Ordered being, he was not yet very proficient in using language.
"I... recognize this fluctuation," he said slowly, his voice carrying a strange metallic quality, " Chaos Remnants. Unpurified... remnants of ancient Chaos."
" Chaos Remnants?" Robin immediately seized on the key phrase. "You mean, Chaos beings that existed in this universe before the Weavers Civilization began weaving order?"
The Star Speaker nodded. "It's recorded in the ancient memory fragments of the Triangular Body Civilization. Before the Weavers arrived, Chaos was the universe's... 'default state.' Matter, energy, and rules were all in a state of flux and instability."
" The Weavers used the Web of Order to stabilize most of the Chaos, transforming it into a stable material universe. But some Chaos... was too stubborn, or too remote, and was not completely purified."
"These remnants of Chaos drifted for billions of years in the interlayers of the ordered universe, gradually developing... a 'survival instinct.' They hated order and longed to return to a state of Chaos."
Princess Shirahoshi asked softly, "Then why are they appearing now?"
"Because of Allen." The Star Speaker's silvery-white eyes flickered, " The Threshold Bearer entered the Gate of the Void and began guiding the Chaos Consciousness Side its proper place. It's like lighting a lamp in a dark room—"
"The light not only illuminated the room, but also startled the sleeping insects in the corner," Zoro added.
"Accurate," the Star Speaker said. " The Chaos Remnants sensed the 'restlessness' and 'desire' on the Chaos Consciousness Side. They mistakenly believed this was an opportunity for Chaos to launch a full-scale counterattack and devour the Order universe. So they awoke from their hiding places and began attacking the Order nodes."
Ge Xiaolun's expression changed. "Order Node?"
"Remnants of the Balance Field." The Star Speaker pointed to the star map, " The Balance Field energy left behind by Allen two years ago, although most of it went into the Gate of the Void with him, some 'fragments' still remain in specific locations in both worlds."
He pulled up another map, which was marked with a dozen or so bright dots:
"These are the coordinates of the detected Balance Field Fragment. They spontaneously harmonize the Chaos and order in their respective regions, like... miniature 'cosmic stabilizers.'"
"And the goal of the Chaos Remnants is to destroy these fragments and stop the return of the Chaos Consciousness Side rightful place?"
"Not only that," the Star Speaker shook his head, "They also want to... devour the fragments, use the Sparks within to strengthen themselves, and become new sources of Chaos."
A brief silence fell over the meeting room.
"So," Sanji exhaled a puff of smoke, "We're going to protect these fragments now?"
"Moreover, we need to split our forces into multiple groups." Yan pulled up the mission allocation map. "Based on the location of the fragments, we need to go to six coordinate points simultaneously. The Chaos Remnants's attack has already been observed at three coordinate points."
Luffy stood up. "Then let's split up!"
"Wait," Shanks, pressing Luffy's shoulder. "We don't yet know the enemy's exact abilities. If we scatter rashly, we might be picked off one by one."
Just then, a piercing alarm blared throughout the entire outpost.
"High-dimensional intrusion detected!" an emergency report came from the control room. "An unknown target is attacking the outpost's energy core! Defense system failed!"
The holographic projection in the conference room instantly switched to a real-time monitoring screen.
In the core area of the outpost, the silvery-white corridors had been stained with an eerie gray-black. That gray-black spread across the walls like a living thing, extinguishing lights, corroding metal, and even making the air thick and sticky wherever it passed.
At the end of the corridor, three blurry human-shaped shadows were slowly taking shape.
They look like outlines drawn with ink and smoke, without facial features or details, but everyone can sense that they are "watching" the surveillance cameras.
" The Chaos Remnants... have arrived." The Star Speaker stood up, his silvery-white eyes gleaming. "Their target is... the Balance Field Fragment beneath the outpost."
"There are fragments at the outpost?" Nami asked in surprise.
"Each interdimensional Sea Route node contains a fragment." Yan had already drawn her Flame Sword. "This was arranged by Allen before he left... He foresaw this day."
Zoro drew all three swords simultaneously. "Then let's fight!"
"No," the Star Speaker suddenly said, "Let me go."
Everyone looked at him.
"I am... a former Chaos being." The Star Speaker's voice carried a certain resolve. "I understand their instincts, and I understand their pain. Perhaps... we can communicate."
"That's too dangerous!" Chopper shouted. "You've just completed your Order transformation; if they re-contaminate you..."
"Precisely because I've just achieved order, I understand best the difference between Chaos and order." The Star Speaker walked towards the door. "And—this is what I owe the Threshold Bearer. He gave me new life, gave me the right to choose."
"Now, I will use this right to give them a choice."
Before anyone could react, the Star Speaker had already disappeared outside the door.
The core area of the outpost, in front of the energy room door.
The Star Speaker stood alone on the edge of the spreading gray-black "pollution." He took a deep breath, and his silvery-white eyes began to radiate a soft light.
That light was different from the sacred code of angels, and also different from the technological energy of the Super Soldier Company; it was a kind of... pure "resonance of order."
It was Balance Field Fragment left by Allen, the Seed of Order planted in the Star Speaker's body, which he now actively activated.
"I know you can sense me." The Star Speaker communicated directly with his consciousness, an instinct of the Triangular Body Civilization. "I too was once a member of Chaos. I understand your hatred of order, your fear of 'fixation' and 'restriction'."
The gray-black pollution stopped spreading.
Three shadowy figures simultaneously "looked" at him. There was no sound, but a hostile and hungry intent surged forth:
[Traitor... Lackey of Order...]
[Return... the power of Chaos...]
[Devour... Evolve...]
The Star Speaker shook his head. " Chaos is not the end, nor is order a prison. Threshold Bearer are doing is finding a third path—balance."
He stretched out his hand, and a tiny white-gold flame appeared in his palm—the core of the Seed of Order within him.
"Look, this is not a flame that extinguishes Chaos, but a bridge that reconciles Chaos and order. The Threshold Bearer call it ' Sparks,' Weavers call it 'Hope.'"
The shadows stirred. They both craved the pure power of order within the flame and instinctively feared its "harmonizing" properties—to them, being harmonized meant the annihilation of individual consciousness.
[Lies... Order always devours Chaos...]
[ The Weavers's scam...]
" The Weavers failed because they only wanted order." The Star Speaker approached slowly. "But the Threshold Bearer is different. He is both order and Chaos. He has the Sparks within him, as well as the spacetime power of the Torch Dragon. He understands the pain of Chaos and the necessity of order."
"He is searching for a way for you—for all Chaos beings—to maintain your own identity while coexisting with order."
"But this path requires time and patience. And your attacks are disrupting this process."
One of the shadows suddenly lunged at the Star Speaker! Grayish-black tentacles tried to entangle his body and devour his power of order.
But the Star Speaker did not dodge.
He allowed the tentacles to touch him, and then—actively released the Seed of Order within his body outward.
Platinum light burst forth from his entire body; it wasn't an aggressive purification, but rather... a demonstration. A demonstration of how order and Chaos coexist within him, a demonstration of the stability and harmony of a balanced state.
The tentacles trembled in the light, then began to change.
The gray-black color gradually faded, revealing faint silver patterns. The shadow emitted waves of painful intent, but mixed within them was a trace of... confusion and curiosity.
[This feeling... is not painful... is not suffocating...]
[Order... can it breathe?]
"Yes," the Star Speaker said softly, "Order is not a cage, but a framework. Chaos is not disorder, but possibility. When the two are in balance—"
He clasped his hands together, and the platinum light and the gray-black shadow began to intertwine, forming a slowly rotating two-colored vortex:
"--and new things will be born."
Two other shadows also approached, "observing" the vortex, their initial hostility gradually replaced by inquisitiveness.
[But the other survivors... wouldn't understand...]
[Ancient hatred... too deep...]
"Then let them see," the Star Speaker said. "Let me go to the other fragments. Let me show all the remnants—we have another option besides devouring each other."
" Those on the Threshold Bearer pave the way for the entire Chaos Consciousness Side inside the gate; we, outside the gate, can pave the way for the Chaos Remnants."
The shadows fell silent.
After a long while, the first shadow that came into contact with the Star Speaker slowly coalesced, transforming into a blurry but stable humanoid figure. It stretched out its "hand" and touched the Star Speaker's palm.
Take me to see... this new road...
The Star Speaker nodded. "Follow me."
He turned around and found that everyone in the conference room had arrived and was staring in disbelief at the scene.
"The negotiations... were successful?" Usopp asked in a low voice.
"Preliminary," the Star Speaker said, "But more Remnants are attacking other fragment points. We need to act quickly—not to eliminate them, but to demonstrate the possibilities."
Yan looked at the now-stabilized shadowy humanoid figure, then at the Star Speaker, and finally nodded:
"Then let's change the plan. We'll split up and head to the six fragmentation points, but the mission objective isn't annihilation, but rather... contact and guidance."
"At the same time," she looked at the Star Speaker, "We need you to explain in detail what else is recorded in the ancient memories of the Triangular Body Civilization. How many kinds of Chaos Remnants are there? What are their abilities? What are their weaknesses?"
The Star Speaker closed his eyes, and a silvery-white light flowed across his body.
"The fragments of the Triangular Body Civilization's memory are being pieced together... Give me some time."
"Furthermore—" He suddenly opened his eyes, a hint of surprise flashing in them, "I've discovered something else. The Weavers Civilization... is not the first alien civilization to arrive in this universe."
"Before the Weavers, there was another group of visitors."
"The traces they left behind are directly related to the Chaos Remnants."
Everyone's expression turned serious.
Robin stepped forward. "What civilization is it? Does it have a name?"
The Star Speaker slowly uttered two ancient syllables, which resonated in the air with an ominous Echo:
" The Reapers."
"They are not here to weave order."
"They've come... to Harvest of Chaos."
