Ch. 301Please Save Her, Admiral Bai Yu

Hody Jones captured Shirahoshi and trapped King Neptune and his sons in a massive crowd, threatening to execute her. As the executioners swung their blades, Neptune begged Admiral Bai Yu to save her, and Bai Yu unleashed his Conqueror’s Haki across the dock.

  • Fukaboshi reported that he could not contact Ryugu Palace, and Neptune feared it had fallen to Hody Jones’s forces.
  • Hody Jones revealed Shirahoshi in chains and threatened to execute her in front of Neptune and his allies.
  • Fukaboshi and the guards charged to rescue Shirahoshi, but Hody’s forces surrounded them.
  • Neptune attacked the crowd and tried to break through, but the attackers overwhelmed his group and blocked their escape.
  • Hody ordered the executioners to kill Shirahoshi, and Neptune begged Bai Yu to save her in exchange for attending the World Affiliated Nation Conference.
  • Bai Yu said he would have acted regardless and unleashed his Conqueror’s Haki across the dock.

Ch. 302Are You an Idiot?

Bai Yu ended Hody Jones’s rebellion on Fish-Man Island with a single burst of overwhelming power. After killing Hody, he left King Neptune and the others stunned by the gulf between them and the Marine Admiral.

  • Bai Yu’s glare knocked out the rebel army, including the Fish-Man executioners, and left King Neptune, Shirahoshi, and Hody Jones stunned.
  • Yamakaji identified Bai Yu as a Marine Admiral, but Hody rejected the warning and charged toward Shirahoshi.
  • Bai Yu intercepted Hody’s attack, while Hody activated Shirahoshi’s explosive collar and swallowed EX Energy Steroids.
  • Bai Yu ripped off Shirahoshi’s collar and threw it into the air, where it exploded harmlessly.
  • Hody attacked Bai Yu again, but his blade could not wound him, and Bai Yu killed Hody with a single Zanpakuto strike.

Ch. 303Just Cut That Thing Down

Bai Yu defeated Hody Jones and saved Shirahoshi, but Vice Admiral Vergo revealed his role in the crisis and launched Noah's Ark toward Fish-Man Island to kill Bai Yu. Bai Yu ignored the Seastone Handcuffs and prepared to cut down the ark.

  • Yamakaji offered Neptune the Marines' help after Bai Yu swiftly ended Hody Jones's rebellion.
  • Vergo emerged from the prison, seized Bai Yu's wrist with Seastone Handcuffs, and confessed that he had orchestrated the events.
  • Vergo revealed that he had allied with Vander Decken and intended to bury Fish-Man Island along with Bai Yu.
  • Vander Decken sent Noah's Ark crashing toward the island while demanding that Vergo bring him Shirahoshi.
  • Bai Yu mocked Vergo's plan, crushed his liquor bottle, and reached for his Zanpakuto despite the Seastone Handcuffs.

Ch. 304His future could not be predicted

As Noah's Ark hurtled toward Fish-Man Island, Bai Yu unleashed Nozarashi and broke through the Seventh Gate to confront it. Shyarly's crystal ball shattered, revealing that Bai Yu's future could not be predicted, and his sword strike split the deep sea as he attacked the ark.

  • Vergo mocked Bai Yu's plan to cut apart Noah's Ark as Vander Decken sent the enormous ship plunging toward Fish-Man Island.
  • Shyarly's crystal ball shattered, and she realized that Bai Yu's future could not be predicted.
  • Bai Yu released Nozarashi, unleashing his Spiritual Pressure and other powers despite the Seastone Handcuffs.
  • Vander Decken accelerated Noah's Ark and shouted for Vergo to take Shirahoshi away.
  • Bai Yu opened the Seventh Gate, crossed the deep sea, and slashed at Noah's Ark with One Sword Style: Daytime Tiger Severing the Sea.

Ch. 305The Monster Even Giant Sea Kings Grumbled About

Bai Yu cleaved through the deep sea, killed Vander Decken, and drove off the giant Sea Kings that had saved Noah's Ark. He returned to Fish-Man Island still short of the System Points needed for a mystery box, then received an unexpected notification.

  • Five giant Sea Kings dragged Noah's Ark aside, leaving Vander Decken exposed to Bai Yu's enormous slash.
  • Vander Decken fled after surviving the strike, but Bai Yu caught up and killed him, earning 200 System Points.
  • Bai Yu considered attacking the Sea Kings, but they fled after sensing his strength and grumbled that he was more monstrous than they were.
  • Bai Yu returned to Fish-Man Island while wondering whether he could gain more points from Vergo.
  • An unexpected ethereal notification sounded before Bai Yu could react.

Ch. 306Please stab me a few more times

After earning enough System Points, Bai Yu redeemed a mystery box and obtained a side-effect-free version of Creation Rebirth: Strength of a Hundred. Vergo stabbed him through the chest, but Bai Yu healed the fatal wound and challenged Vergo to stab him again, leaving Vergo fleeing in terror.

  • Bai Yu received 4,000 System Points for defeating five gigantic Sea Kings and used his 40,000 points to redeem a shop mystery box.
  • Bai Yu opened the box and obtained the no-side-effects version of Creation Rebirth: Strength of a Hundred Technique, forming a Yin Seal and gaining a way to mitigate the cost of using the Eighth Gate.
  • Vergo rushed at Bai Yu and stabbed him through the chest while Bai Yu was distracted, causing Gion, Yamakaji, and the others to fear he would die.
  • Vergo celebrated the apparent kill, but Bai Yu casually drank liquor and said the wound could not kill him.
  • Bai Yu asked Vergo to stab him a few more times, and Vergo panicked and fled.

Ch. 307Am I Qualified?

Bai Yu stopped Vergo from taking Shirahoshi hostage and defeated him with a single powerful strike, while his chest wound healed without leaving a scar. Neptune thanked Bai Yu and agreed to attend the World Affiliated Nation Conference, leaving Yamakaji relieved that the mission would succeed.

  • Vergo used full-body Armament Haki to knock Neptune and Fukaboshi aside and rushed to seize Shirahoshi.
  • Bai Yu blocked Vergo and cut him in half with Nozarashi, killing him and breaking Demon Bamboo.
  • Yamakaji and Gion noticed that Bai Yu's chest wound had healed completely, and Bai Yu joked with Gion about her staring at his chest.
  • Neptune checked that Shirahoshi was safe, apologized for suspecting Bai Yu, and agreed to attend the World Affiliated Nation Conference.
  • Yamakaji was relieved that Neptune's agreement meant Bai Yu's invitation mission would not fail.

Ch. 308Two Choices Threatening the Shichibukai

Shirahoshi asked to attend the World Government's Affiliated Nation Conference, and Neptune agreed after Bai Yu argued that Fish-Man Island needed to face the outside world and grow stronger. Ace then warned Bai Yu that the World Government had mobilized the Shichibukai and presented them with two threatening choices, possibly targeting Bai Yu.

  • Shirahoshi asked to leave the palace and attend the Affiliated Nation Conference, but Neptune and Fukaboshi initially tried to stop her.

  • Ace called Bai Yu and warned him that the World Government had mobilized the Shichibukai and given them two choices.
  • Ace said he feared the Five Elders were targeting Bai Yu.

Ch. 309The Ruthless Overlord Chosen by the Tide of the Era

Bai Yu learned that the Five Elders had summoned the Shichibukai under a suspicious offer, but he remained eager to face their schemes. He then warned Ace that Thatch would likely die because Blackbeard was with him and had found the Dark-Dark Fruit, leaving the Whitebeard Pirates confronting the possibility of betrayal.

  • Ace told Bai Yu that Jinbe could either refuse the summons and lose his Shichibukai title or accept it and retain a peaceful coexistence agreement, while Yamakaji and Gion urged Bai Yu to alert Marine Headquarters.
  • Bai Yu dismissed their worries and said he wanted to see what scheme the Five Elders had prepared, while Ace promised to help if anything happened.
  • Ace asked whether Bai Yu's warning about Thatch was true, explaining that Thatch's patrol had found the Dark-Dark Fruit and that Teach was with him.
  • Bai Yu warned Ace that Teach was unusually patient and said Thatch would likely die, unless he gave the fruit directly to Teach.
  • Ace and the Whitebeard Pirates listened in shock as Bai Yu described Blackbeard as the ruthless overlord chosen by the tide of the era.

Ch. 310He Would Definitely Go

Bai Yu ended his call with Ace after warning the Whitebeard Pirates about Blackbeard, while Whitebeard sent Whitey Bay to support Thatch. When the World Government summoned the Shichibukai to the Holy Land Mary Geoise, Hancock decided to go in case the Five Elders attacked Bai Yu.

  • Ace thanked Bai Yu for saving Fish-Man Island and warned him to watch out for the Five Elders before Bai Yu ended the call.
  • Ace asked Whitebeard to let him rush to Thatch, but Whitebeard said he had already sent Whitey Bay to provide support.
  • The World Government issued a compulsory summons for the Shichibukai to attend the World Affiliated Nation Conference in the Holy Land Mary Geoise.
  • Marigold and Sandersonia wanted to refuse the summons rather than risk being made to attack Bai Yu, but Granny Nyon urged them to preserve Amazon Lily's Shichibukai privileges.
  • Hancock said Bai Yu would definitely go to the Holy Land Mary Geoise and declared that she would go too, ready to make the Five Elders pay if they attacked him.

Ch. 311Seven Shichibukai

The Five Elders prepared a trap for Bai Yu in the Holy Land Mary Geoise while a ship carrying Vivi and Alabasta's delegation approached the Sabaody Archipelago. Vivi learned Bai Yu was also heading to Mary Geoise, where Bastille feared the Five Elders' hostility but expected Marine Headquarters to make preparations.

  • Daps told the Five Elders that all seven Shichibukai had accepted their summons, and Nusjuro learned Daps had appointed an additional member.
  • The Five Elders vowed to kill Bai Yu with a trap prepared in the Holy Land Mary Geoise.
  • Three days later, Vice Admiral Bastille sailed toward the Sabaody Archipelago with Vivi, Cobra, Chaka, and Igaram aboard his warship.
  • Chaka and Igaram teased Vivi about wanting to see Bai Yu, and Bastille explained that Bai Yu was returning from Fish-Man Island to attend the conference.
  • Cobra worried that Bai Yu would be in danger in Mary Geoise, but Bastille said Sengoku and the others would make arrangements and the Five Elders could not openly attack Bai Yu without alienating the Marines.

Ch. 312The Zombie Horde

Bastille and the Marines reached Sabaody Archipelago, where Gecko Moria’s zombie horde attacked the ships carrying kings and dignitaries. Bastille confronted Moria, but a kimono-clad zombie intercepted his attack and clashed with him.

  • Bastille reassured Cobra that Sengoku and the other Marines would make arrangements to protect Bai Yu.
  • As Bastille’s warship neared Dock One, zombies attacked the ships, and a three-headed hellhound bit Chaka after he cut off one of its legs.
  • Bastille used Observation Haki to identify Gecko Moria as the source of the zombie horde.
  • Bastille demanded that Moria stop the attack, but Moria claimed he could not control the zombies and urged the people to fight back.
  • Bastille charged Moria and struck with Zhan Sha Breaking Strike, but a kimono-clad zombie deflected the blade aura and counterattacked.
  • Bastille blocked the zombie’s thrust, and the force of their clash shocked him.

Ch. 313A Samurai of Wano Country Issues a Challenge

Bai Yu arrived in the middle of Gecko Moria’s attack on Vivi and the Marines, then accepted Ryuma’s challenge to a duel. The duel began with Ryuma’s weapon-destroying thrust meeting Bai Yu’s Zanpakuto.

  • Ryuma damaged Bastille’s Zhan Sha broadsword with a weapon-destroying thrust as Gecko Moria ordered his shadow to attack Vivi.
  • Bai Yu’s blood-red slash destroyed the attacking shadow and scattered the zombies, then he emerged from the sea aboard his warship.
  • Gecko Moria tried to withdraw, but Bai Yu stopped him and identified the zombie samurai as Ryuma of Wano Country.
  • Ryuma challenged Bai Yu and asked him to let the incident go regardless of the duel’s outcome; Bai Yu agreed, conditional on Ryuma proving worthy.
  • Ryuma struck first with Shusui, and Bai Yu met his weapon-destroying thrust with his Zanpakuto before Ryuma attacked again.

Ch. 314A swordsman's honor

  • Bai Yu told Bastille to protect his companions and revealed that Fleet Admiral Sengoku had summoned him before he reached the Holy Land Mary Geoise.

Ch. 315Sengoku's trump card

Bai Yu left the Marine docks for a meeting with Sengoku and Garp, while the Five Elders plotted to lure him into a deadly trap at Mary Geoise. Sengoku warned Bai Yu that negotiations had failed, then introduced Dragon as backup for the dangerous trip.

  • Yamakaji and Gion reassured Bai Yu that they would handle matters at the docks, and Bai Yu departed for Marine Headquarters.
  • The Five Elders discussed using a staged crisis and holding back Garp and Sengoku to kill Bai Yu at Mary Geoise.
  • Bai Yu met Sengoku and Garp on a deserted island near Marineford, where Sengoku warned that the Five Elders had refused negotiations.
  • Dragon arrived at Sengoku's request, offered Bai Yu a place in the Revolutionary Army, and agreed to intervene if events became irreversible.

Ch. 316The Final Resolve

Bai Yu refused Dragon’s offer to help him avoid the Five Elders and prepared to face them at the Holy Land Mary Geoise, while Sengoku, Garp, and Dragon discussed the risks and their resolve to protect him. As Bai Yu headed for the Holy Land, the World Affiliated Nation Conference began gathering kings and their entourages there.

  • Dragon offered to save Bai Yu and asked him to reconsider going to the Holy Land Mary Geoise, but Bai Yu said he would confront the Five Elders rather than let them dictate events.
  • Sengoku promised to protect Bai Yu as long as he remained a Marine and committed no crimes, while Bai Yu asked him not to intervene so he could keep a way out.
  • Bai Yu teased Garp about his progress with the Eight Gates Released, then turned into lightning and left for the Holy Land.
  • After Bai Yu departed, Garp told Dragon he would give his life to open another path for Bai Yu if necessary, and Dragon left to prepare for the conference and the coming trap.
  • At the docks of the Holy Land Mary Geoise, kings and their entourages arrived for the World Affiliated Nation Conference, and Yamakaji warned King Neptune and Shirahoshi to be careful in the Celestial Dragons’ territory.

Ch. 317The world's largest den of thieves

  • Vivi and Rebecca reminded Shirahoshi that Admiral Bai Yu would deter the Celestial Dragons from mistreating the delegation.
  • Yamakaji urged the Marines to stay alert and said they should protect Admiral Bai Yu this time; Gion then led them toward the conference venue.
  • The delegation entered the outer palace, and its enormous stone gates slammed shut behind them.
  • Celestial Dragons emerged with their slaves, focused on Shirahoshi, and began bidding for her as a collectible and slave mount.
  • King Neptune and the others realized they had walked into a trap in the Holy Land Mary Geoise.

Ch. 318The Only Way to Break the Death Trap

The Five Elders used the early Affiliated Nation Conference and a gathering of Celestial Dragons to set a death trap for Bai Yu, while Shirahoshi became their target. As slaves charged toward her and CP0 blocked Gion and Yamakaji, the chapter ended with the realization that Bai Yu’s only way to break the trap was not to appear.

  • Gion realized the conference was a scheme to force Bai Yu to appear and urged the others to escort Shirahoshi out.
  • CP0 threatened Gion and claimed Shirahoshi should remain in Mary Geoise for the Celestial Dragons.
  • Saint Charlos ordered his slaves to seize Shirahoshi despite Gion’s warning about Bai Yu.
  • Gion called on Yamakaji and Bastille to protect Shirahoshi and open the stone doors, but CP0 agents led by Lucci blocked them.
  • Lucci told Gion that Bai Yu would face the World Government if he intervened, and Gion recognized that his absence was the only way to break the trap.

Ch. 319As Overwhelming as Ever

  • Saint Charlos ordered the slaves to capture Shirahoshi and promised to restore the freedom of whoever took her down.
  • King Neptune, Princess Vivi, Rebecca, Cobra, and King Riku hesitated to intervene, while Gion prepared to stop the slaves and Yamakaji was to hold off CP0.

  • Bai Yu apologized to Shirahoshi, said the conference should be put on hold, and cut through the stone doors with his Zanpakuto.
  • Bai Yu told King Neptune that the Five Elders had used the Celestial Dragons as pawns, urged him to leave, and said he should no longer be called Admiral next time.

Ch. 320Playing Games with Death
