Shinsei didn't consider whether to continue; instead, he wanted to return to Konoha, capture Danzo from the base, and publicly execute him by hanging.
Unfortunately, this is just wishful thinking. It's not that Shinsei can't do it, but as a high-ranking official in Konoha, he has to consider the consequences of his actions.
Should they continue? His identity has been exposed. Danzo couldn't have simply sent a ninja to assassinate him on the road; he must have other plans. Perhaps he has already told Amegakure about his purpose.
There's an old saying that's been passed down through generations, "Since we're already here..."
Now that we've come this far, and are almost at the Land of Rain, we should at least go and say hello to Nagato.
So be it. If we run into Obito Uchiha, I'll let him taste my newly developed Palm Thunder. With Jiraiya with me, it's not too dangerous.
After discussing it with Jiraiya, the two decided to continue their journey. Regardless of whether they could successfully persuade Nagato, it would create a rift between Nagato and Obito Uchiha.
Now that they had been exposed, the three decided to travel openly and honestly.
Without the constraints of the skirt, Yahiko was much faster than before and could barely keep up with Shinsei and Jiraiya.
The air ahead gradually became more humid, and more and more clouds appeared in the sky.
The Land of Rain is surrounded by mountains, which prevents moisture from escaping. A large river flows through the land, making it a place with abundant rainfall throughout the year.
Shinsei chose the border between the Land of Rain and the Land of Wind as the place to exile the Nine-Tails.
The hope is that the Nine-Tails 'Chakra will break the high mountain, allowing the moisture here to dissipate into the Land of Wind, and also allowing the arid Land of Wind to absorb some of the excessive rainfall from the Land of Rain.
Although they traveled in an upright manner, the three of them still tried to avoid crowds along the way.
A day later, they had arrived at the outskirts of Amegakure.
A light drizzle continued to fall from the sky, and the muddy road was sparsely populated with pedestrians.
Amegakure is not an open village; in fact, for a long time, the outside world had no idea what was happening in Amegakure.
It wasn't until the Akatsuki began to show its power that the nations realized: Hanzo of the Salamander, who was known Demigod of the Ninja World, had already fallen.
Under the gloomy sky, the view was filled with steel pipes, and water droplets dripping from the corroded welds mingled with the rain falling from the sky.
Shinsei opened his palms, letting the raindrops fall into them.
The extremely subtle Chakra sensing within the water droplet is easily missed if one is not paying attention. This is Nagato's reconnaissance Ninjutsu — Rain Tiger at Will Technique.
He knew he had been exposed to Nagato's senses, and barring any unforeseen circumstances, Nagato would send someone to pick him up.
Shinsei stood in the rain, waiting for the person who came.
An unexpected incident finally occurred.
The three stood by the roadside, getting soaked in the rain, looking like three fools who didn't know how to use umbrellas.
Seeing Jiraiya's suspicious gaze, Shinsei also began to have doubts.
Didn't Nagato claim to be a god? Faced with invaders, shouldn't a god immediately expel them or ruthlessly suppress them?
Why hasn't this god reacted at all after I've been standing here for so long? Perhaps I've come at the wrong time, Nagato isn't home?
Shinsei took out the intelligence scroll and used it to find the rendezvous point of the Konoha intelligence agents. If all else failed, he would have to go there in person to inquire about the situation.
Jiraiya slammed his hand on the intelligence scroll and shook his head at Shinsei:
"Let's not expose them. This immortal has his own methods; I'm a master of intelligence gathering!"
Shinsei rolled his eyes. He knew that Jiraiya's so-called intelligence gathering was nothing more than going to some bar and hanging out with some young ladies who needed attention.
"Watch me."
He took a Kunai from his ninja tool pouch and attached a photograph to its Kunai. He then stretched out his right arm, pointing diagonally forward.
Every time Shinsei uses this gesture to unleash the electromagnetic cannon, he feels an itch in his philtrum.
Lightning Release Chakra lit up on Shinsei's arm, forming rings of electricity.
It doesn't matter if we don't know Nagato's hiding place; as long as we aim at the very center, we can always get the message to Nagato's ears.
The tall tower in the distance looks like a good target.
Shinsei placed the Kunai at the end of the electric coil on his right arm with his left hand and adjusted the current to a suitable level.
With a whoosh, the Kunai speed.
Shinsei, having opened his Sharingan, saw the Kunai accurately shot into the tower's window.
Fortunately, the force was just right and the tower didn't collapse; otherwise, before the persuasion was even successful, a blood feud would have been established.
The sound of footsteps echoed in the dimly lit room.
A woman wearing a long robe with red clouds and black background walked over in high heels.
She approached the wall and removed the Kunai stuck to it.
A photograph was attached to the handle of her Kunai; she gently wiped the rainwater off it.
The photo shows three smiling teenagers: an orange-haired boy making a peace sign at the camera; a blue-haired girl with a slightly shy smile; and a black-haired girl looking ahead with a slightly uneasy expression.
" Yahiko... Arin..."
Konan gently stroked the photograph.
The black-clad girl in the photo, who had faded from her memory, is now resurfacing in her mind.
Konan still remembers the girl who was covered in wounds because of her younger sister's death. Every time they went out to steal food together, she always wanted to bring the food back to her younger sister.
Was she also rescued by Shinsei?
The orange-haired boy was someone he knew very well; he was Akatsuki's former leader, a boy with the naive idea of resolving the world's conflicts, and it was he who helped him survive in the Land of Rain.
The photo of myself looks both familiar and strange. I rarely remember myself smiling like this.
Behind the three boys was a clean and bright room. This was the kind of life she dared not dream of when she was a child.
It seems they were much happier in the past.
She sighed softly, "It's a pity we can't go back."
She carefully put the photos away, walked down the tower, through layers of corridors, and arrived at a room.
With a creak, Konan pushed open the door.
Light streamed into the dimly lit room, casting flickering shadows on Nagato's face as he sat in the chair.
After closing the door, the room became dark again.
Konan walked step by step to Nagato, took out the photo, and handed it to him.
Nagato hesitated for a moment, then took the photo. By the light from the window, she saw the smiling, long-haired boy in the picture.
" Yahiko..."
Silence fell over the room. Nagato stared at the photograph in her hand, remaining silent for a long time.
Are you going to see him?
Nagato raised his head, revealing his Rinnegan, which had been hidden by his white hair:
Should I go see him?
