The moonlight shone softly on the stone platform shrouded in mist, casting long shadows of everyone present.
A boy dressed in black with his hair tied in a bun appeared on the stone platform at some unknown time.
A moment later, the boy on the stone platform also cast a long shadow under the moonlight.
"What a pity," Omoikane-no-Kami sighed, making an exaggerated expression of regret. "It's been so many years since we last met, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, are you still unwilling to face us in your true form?"
The boy's face remained expressionless; he simply replied in a cold tone.
"I will not be like those fools who expose their true selves to you and then let you manipulate their will, leaving them with no control over their own lives."
I'm so glad that Amaterasu finally remembered me, but I don't want to see you, Omoikane.
"You're always so wary of me." Omoikane-no-Kami her head. "But tonight, I'm not here to argue with you. Amaterasu wants to see those two."
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto didn't look at Omoikane-no-Kami. He only looked at Amaterasu.
Amaterasu's face was expressionless, and she did not answer, only nodding slightly as if her head were stiff.
"Since this is Amaterasu Amaterasu's request, then please proceed."
Kukurihime-no-Kami Amaterasu cautiously, as if trying to ascertain her feelings.
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto remained silent. He turned and walked to the center of the stone platform, without making any move.
Suddenly, a huge altar appeared in the center of the stone platform.
" Amaterasu, this seal requires your personal intervention."
Amaterasu remained silent, only gently waving her sleeve.
Suddenly, a large amount of black flames appeared on the altar.
Black flames burned continuously along a special pattern.
A moment later, a crack suddenly appeared on the stone platform, as if someone had pried it in half.
The black flames disappeared.
There was no sound, no smoke. The crack widened, revealing a downward-facing entrance.
Inside were stone steps that led straight into the darkness.
"My lords, please follow me."
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto led the way into the darkness, as he stepped onto the first stone staircase.
The surrounding black space suddenly brightened, illuminating the long stone cave as if it were daytime.
"That's quite an ability. Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, your illusion abilities are getting stronger and stronger. If I were to become friends with you, would I never lack beautiful women?"
No one answered Omoikane-no-Kami's words. Omoikane-no-Kami didn't seem embarrassed; he simply shrugged.
The stone steps are long, winding and turning, as if they lead to the heart of the mountain.
The walls were extremely cold, covered with a very thin layer of frost. Kukurihime-no-Kami hugged her sleeves tightly, staring only at the hem of Amaterasu's robe in front of her.
They walked for an unknown amount of time before the light finally began to appear. When they emerged from the stone steps, a breathtaking view unfolded before them. Inside the mountain was a vast hollow. Above them were pitch-black rock walls, like an inverted giant bell.
In the very center, there are two human figures.
Calling them humanoid wouldn't be accurate. They were just two figures enveloped in light, one pale blue and the other dark red, lying side by side like two sleeping corpses of gods.
They weren't awake. But as the crowd approached, the light emanating from them suddenly flickered, like a startled lamp.
Amaterasu didn't speak. She just stared at the two figures.
Kukurihime-no-Kami noticed that her shoulders were trembling slightly.
She wanted to step forward and say no, but before she could open her mouth, the black flames had already burned past her eyes.
Without warning, the black flames, like the night suddenly coming to life, surged towards the two figures from all directions.
The flames were utterly still, so still that they made no sound. They burned on the bodies of Kamimusubi-no-Kami and Takamimusubi-no-Kami -Hi, causing the two orbs of light to grow smaller and fainter.
Kukurihime-no-Kami startled that she took a step back. Omoikane-no-Kami stood behind her, saying nothing.
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto didn't move. He watched as the black flames engulfed the two gods, as if watching an old event he already knew would happen.
" Amaterasu, the matter is over, and the two great gods have paid the price they deserved."
I don't know why Great Goddess Amaterasu came here, but I believe you didn't come here to vent your anger.
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto. His voice was soft, yet clear enough to make Amaterasu's back pause for a moment.
The black flames were still burning. But the two orbs of light were gradually losing their shape.
Just then, the burning figure suddenly crumpled and curled up like paper, and with a soft thud, turned into two wisps of smoke—it was an illusion.
The true forms of the two deities were never revealed from beginning to end.
Kukurihime-no-Kami's legs went weak, and she almost fell to the ground.
As a close deity to Amaterasu, Kukurihime-no-Kami naturally understood the source of Amaterasu's anger.
These two gods were once extremely powerful deities in Takamagahara.
Their names are Kamimusubi-no-Kami and Takamimusubi-no-Kami.
They possessed extremely powerful Yang Power and Yin Power.
However, in the battle with the Ōtsutsuki Clan, these two powerful gods were severely injured and temporarily lost their minds.
It attacks all the gods indiscriminately.
Even Great Goddess Amaterasu was injured by them. Yin-Yang Power converged on Amaterasu.
This resulted in Great Goddess Amaterasu giving birth to a divine child. This became a taboo for Great Goddess Amaterasu and an unspeakable joke in Takamagahara.
This matter, like a red-hot needle, had been buried in her heart for countless years.
When she saw these two gods again, she didn't burn the mountain down directly; that was already a sign of restraint.
Amaterasu stood still, the black flames gradually receding. She closed her eyes briefly, and when she opened them again, she had regained the composure of a ruler of Takamagahara.
She turned around and looked at Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto.
I'm fine now.
Omoikane-no-Kami cleared his throat, looked at Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, and spoke.
"Lord Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, even though you are here guarding the two former lords, I believe you understand the changes that have taken place in Takamagahara."
Therefore, we need your help.
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto tilted her head, waiting for Omoikane-no-Kami to continue.
Omoikane-no-Kami didn't keep anyone in suspense and directly stated his purpose for coming here.
"We need you to use illusions to make the two great gods use the Yin-Yang Power once again."
"A seed, sufficient for humans to nurture life, is born."
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto glanced at Amaterasu, trying to keep his tone as calm as possible.
"Of course, no problem. But who is the target this time?"
Otsutsuki Kaguya.
