The moment he stepped up, he eagerly tried to show off his strength, throwing ten shuriken in succession.
Still, it had to be said that the young master of the Sarutobi Clan really did have some skill.
"Asuma Sarutobi, ninety-one points!"
Hearing his score, Asuma Sarutobi breathed a sigh of relief, then looked toward Yuzuru with a smug expression.
But no one was paying him any attention.
Kurenai only had eyes for Yuzuru, chatting and laughing with Shizune and Rin beside her.
Asuma's face instantly flushed red.
"All right, it's the next person's turn."
At the teacher's urging, Asuma could only leave and return to his original spot.
The next few civilian students weren't nearly as impressive.
Some missed the targets entirely, while others only landed one or two hits.
Then it was Obito's turn.
As soon as Obito stepped up, he eagerly challenged him. "Minazuki Yuzuru, watch closely! This is my true strength!"
Hearing Obito's voice, Yuzuru couldn't even be bothered to respond, though Rin beside him did offer Obito some encouragement.
With Rin's encouragement, Obito instantly got carried away and rapidly threw his shuriken.
"Obito Uchiha, fifty-six points!"
Yuzuru wasn't the least bit surprised by that score.
After all, Obito was a dead last to begin with. If anything, the fact that he could score over fifty points was what surprised Yuzuru.
He was slightly better than the civilians, but compared to the students in their class who came from shinobi clans or had shinobi elders, Obito was leagues behind.
Tekka mocked him without the slightest restraint. "What a disgrace to the Uchiha Clan."
Faced with Tekka's mockery, Obito wanted to argue back but had no way to do so.
They were both Uchiha, and neither had awakened their eyes, yet their scores were worlds apart.
Once everyone had finished throwing shuriken, the teacher gave them a few minutes to rest before beginning the actual combat lesson.
"Now, all students, come draw lots here. This is your first combat lesson. Whoever draws the same number will be opponents."
Everyone received their numbers in turn, and Yuzuru opened his slip of paper to take a look.
Hmm, number nineteen. That means I'm in the last pair.
After the draw, the matches began, starting with the first pair.
It had to be said that although these children spent every day playing around and neglecting their studies, their movements during combat class did look a little like those of shinobi.
Yuzuru paid little attention to these children's fights. First, his own strength was already far beyond theirs. Second, talented civilian shinobi were far too rare.

Hearing this, Guy immediately replied in earnest, "Understood. I'll give it everything I've got!"
Soon, Guy and Obito stepped onto the stage and formed the Seal of Confrontation toward each other. The battle was about to begin.
"Konoha Whirlwind!"
With Guy's shout, Obito went flying, collapsed on the ground, and couldn't get back up.
Seeing this, Guy was completely dumbfounded.
Th-this isn't right, is it?
How did he go down from just the opening move?

Hearing Uchiha Tekka's words, Obito didn't dare argue back at all.
Seeing Obito like this, Yuzuru merely smiled. As for comforting him? What a joke. Did a beast like him need comforting?
Thinking of what this guy had done in the original story, Yuzuru could only say that Obito wasn't worth saving, much less pitying. Considering everything he had done, even calling him a beast almost felt like a compliment.
Soon, Kurenai faced her first opponent as well. It was actually Genma Shiranui, a familiar face.
The Kurenai of the original story might have been evenly matched with Genma, but after Yuzuru's instruction, even if her strength hadn't yet reached the level of an ordinary genin, she was already far stronger than these students.
A single Hell Viewing Technique ended the fight outright.
Genma Shiranui gave a wry chuckle too, not having expected to lose so quickly.

Facing him was a boy with the Byakugan, Hyuga Asa.
Hmm, a name I never heard in the original story, and no Caged Bird Seal on his forehead. Looks like a young master from the Main Family who's had a pretty comfortable life.
Looking at the proud-faced boy from the Hyuga Main Family across from him, Yuzuru was utterly baffled.
"Did you eat bee shit? Why are you so happy?"
"Minazuki Yuzuru, you will pay for your rudeness. Before these eyes of mine, every move you make is clear as day!"
Hyuga Asa's expression immediately darkened, but his tone remained full of arrogance.
"A pair of dead people's eyes. As far as I'm concerned, they aren't even half as good as the Sharingan. The Hyuga Clan hasn't produced a single famous shinobi in hundreds of years. What gives you the nerve to stand here barking like a dog?"
"At least the Uchiha had Madara Uchiha, who founded Konoha alongside Lord First. What does your Hyuga Clan have? Your mouths?"
Yuzuru folded his arms across his chest, his words merciless.
"You deserve to die!"
Hearing Minazuki Yuzuru's words, Hyuga Asa immediately charged, opening with Gentle Fist.
"What a shame. You're no genius. Your Gentle Fist is like a little child acting spoiled!"
With that, Yuzuru's figure vanished instantly. The next second, a whipping kick struck Hyuga Asa squarely in the waist.
Hyuga Asa's eyes bulged as he flew backward, collapsing unconscious on the ground.
Not bothering to look at him or care about any Seal of Reconciliation, Yuzuru returned to Kurenai's side without looking back.
"Talking about the Byakugan like that will anger the Hyuga Clan."
"It's just the truth. Besides, compared to my father, isn't the measly Hyuga Clan just a bunch of people who aren't worth showing off?"
Yuzuru shrugged.
Hearing this, Kurenai opened her mouth, but said nothing.
Because Yuzuru really wasn't wrong. Compared to Hatake Sakumo, the Hyuga Clan was far too weak.
The name Konoha White Fang had long since resounded throughout the Shinobi World. By comparison, did the Hyuga Clan have anyone worth showing off?
The answer was no. From the Warring States period until now, there hadn't been a single one. The only famous one was Hyuga Tennin, and even he only amounted to so much.
