Li Le raised Ahtal-Ka into a Guild-recognized Kinsect, passed the hunter examination, and traveled toward Val Habar to develop the institute and train. On the Ancestral Steppe, he befriended a wounded Seltas, but a Seltas Queen attacked and left Sisi in danger.

• Li Le escaped the desert with Ahtal-Ka, joined Lan Rui and Sanhua, and reached Dondorma, where the Kinsect Research Institute identified Ahtal-Ka as a possible new Neopteron species.
• Li Le helped Sara and Holo build the institute while training as a hunter, and Ahtal-Ka learned to gather extracts and support his Insect Glaive techniques.
• Li Le passed the hunter examination with Ahtal-Ka, then joined Lan Rui to hunt Old Geezer and completed the urgent Cephalos contract.
• Li Le set out for Val Habar with Sisi, Kaluo, and the Felynes, and Sisi helped save the Sandworm convoy during Dah'ren Mohran’s attack.
• At Val Habar, Li Le met Sophia, who studied Sisi, and refitted the Sandworm with bones and salvaged parts for a trial run.
• Li Le accepted a Seltas contract in the Ancestral Steppe, befriended the wounded monster, and named it Bug Brother after it shared food with him.
• After discovering signs of a Seltas Queen and Nerscylla fighting, Li Le tried to withdraw, but the Queen pursued him and Sisi broke one of its armored forelimbs.
• The Seltas Queen rammed Old Bones and shattered it, leaving Sisi in its path as Kaluo raised a binder bolt and warned her.

Li Le upgraded Sisi’s Ahtal-Neset, hunted in the Sunken Hollow, and helped Cathar rebuild while preparing to sail. The later chapters shifted to unrelated characters and conflicts, ending with Yu Ying sensing oppressive pressure in Blackwater Pool Forest.

• Li Le and Sisi escaped the Seltas Queen, then Li Le returned to Val Habar and planned to gather materials for a land-walking Ahtal-Neset.
• Li Le built the Ahtal-Neset with Sisi and the Felynes, then took an urgent Kecha Wacha contract to the Sunken Hollow with Kaluo.
• Li Le spared the Kecha Wacha he named Little Fox and brought its carcass back to Val Habar, where Sisi took its hooked claws for the Ahtal-Neset.
• Li Le traveled to Cathar, formed the Ahtal-Neset Engineering Team, and worked with Gemma to add climbing components before the new leg partly broke during a test.
• Li Le and Kaluo hunted a Gypceros with Sisi’s help, then returned to Cathar as Disi came back injured from his Nerscylla hunt.
• Chief Rair restored Cathar’s lava flow, Gemma joined the effort to learn forging, and Li Le sailed with the Hunter Caravan after fitting the Sandworm with a Dragonator.
• In the later chapters, events followed many unrelated characters, including battles, political disputes, and supernatural confrontations.
• Si Chen ordered everyone to activate their Heavenly Feather Battle Armor and filtering masks after Yu Ying sensed oppressive pressure in Blackwater Pool Forest.
