Do you recognize me?
Duma looked at the [ Giant Arms ] in front of him, which also had four arms, and asked this question, simply because there was a feeling about the other party that was both familiar and strange to him.
Those four incredibly Psionic Energy Giant Arms certainly have a prototype. A brief observation reveals that the [ Giant Arms ] bear a striking resemblance to Duma, both in the contours of the muscles and the distribution of the arm positions.
However, as a skeleton, [ Giant Arms's ] skull differs significantly from that of Duma.
As a race with four eyes and demon horns, Duma could tell at a glance that [ Giant Arms ]'s head came from a human skull and that he was not of the same race.
At this moment Duma recalled the advice given by an old friend not long ago:
"You won't regret getting closer to His Highness the Son of God."
Geliwusi's voice echoed in Duma's ears. As a demon skilled at bewitching people, he could sense that his old friend's words came from the heart and were not merely flattery.
The other party not only hoped that their old acquaintance could get along better with Ed, but there was also a hint of well-intentioned advice in their words.
Now it seems that Geliwusi was right after all; he had only promised the Son of God to come to this battlefield to observe, and he had actually made some discoveries.
My race should have been wiped out in the Demonic Tide, but is it possible that there are still a few companions besides myself?
If the surviving demons were only Middle Tier, they naturally wouldn't share Authority and thus allow the skeleton to perceive them. Perhaps one of them simply became part of the skeleton's body before them?
Or perhaps one of his own kind transformed into the [ Giant Arms ] before him after his death?
But since the other party saw me, yet didn't acknowledge me, could there be some hidden reason?
Countless thoughts flashed through the demon's mind in an instant, and before making his move, he asked this one last question:
Tell me who you are, or don't blame me for taking action.
[ Giant Arms ] stared at the four-armed demon before him with empty eyes, and as the Psionic Energy vibrated, information reached his ears:
"That's all in the past. I have nothing to do with you now."
Hearing the other party's ambiguous answer, a surge of anger suddenly rose in Duma's heart:
"That means there's nothing to discuss."
Duma's four arms collided in pairs, producing a piercing sound as air was compressed to its limit and then crushed to powder, somewhat similar to the previous [ Giant Arms ] move:
"Come on, let me see which old acquaintance you're playing tricks on me."
Upon hearing this, [ Giant Arms ] also assumed a fighting stance. He glanced at [ Nether Crossing ] beside him, who seemed slightly hesitant, unsure whether he was advising his teammate or warning the opponent.
Even in a two-on-two situation, you might not necessarily have the upper hand.
"Really."
Before [ Nether Crossing ] could clearly state that he would fight alongside [ Giant Arms ], a familiar voice rang out again.
A comet streaked across the sky above the Great Labyrinth City, and the resurrected Ed reappeared before the [ Giant Arms ]:
Surprised? Unexpected?
Ed asked with a smile, then mimicked [ Giant Arms ]'s confident tone and said:
"Three against two, the advantage is in my hands!"
On the aerial battlefield, dozens of meters apart, [ Giant Arms ] and [ Nether Crossing ] locked eyes for a moment, and two streams of Psionic Energy shot into the sky, illuminating almost half of the sky above the Great Labyrinth City.
Upon seeing their opponent, Ed and his two companions didn't even consider running away. They immediately charged forward with all their might, and a fierce battle erupted once again in the skies above the Great Labyrinth City.
Below, in the ruins of the city, countless robotic arms and small fortresses are clearing away the street buildings that have been reduced to dust.
Armed and aided by the Great Labyrinth City, Aiboke easily subdued the two traitors, Keen and Brenfield, who were already exhausted.
The black-and-white mecha warrior gripped Brenfield's neck with his left hand and ripped off each of his prosthetic limbs one by one with his right, like an innocent yet cruel child would do to an insect.
Brenfield's prized rotary machine gun and various metal weapons had been broken into pieces and thrown to the ground.
Now, it's his turn.
In his endless agony, Brenfield glimpsed the face hidden behind the mask through the gaps in his metal-armored fingers.
As if he had discovered some earth-shattering secret, he didn't even care about the screams of pain that should have been heard when his limbs were torn apart; he just shouted out that name that hadn't been called out in so long:
Aiboke Schmidt!
"It's you! You are the Grand Foundry Master! All those elections, all those votes, all those banquets, they're all traps! Traps!"
"You two brothers have deceived everyone in the Great Labyrinth City!"
The black and white metal armor paused for a moment, the armor covering his head folding down to his neck, revealing Aiboke's face, which looked to be only about thirty years old.
"Deception? A traitor like you is destined to never understand my brother."
Aiboke didn't bother explaining anything to the traitor. After turning Brenfield into a limp, cocoon-like figure that could only wriggle but couldn't even move forward, he casually tossed him to the ground.
Layers upon layers of metal restraints and cages instantly appeared from the ground under the control of the Great Labyrinth City, imprisoning Brenfield within them.
Ignoring Brenfield, who was still whimpering, Aiboke lifted his right foot and picked up Keen Rizzos, who had been acting as a stepping stone for several minutes.
"Your turn, Keen."
" Aiboke, I can explain all of this."
Keen Rizzos, whose large metal barbs had been ripped off, only gasped in pain, but still looked at his former friend with pleading eyes:
I thought you were already dead back then...
" Aiboke, you are a true genius. You should be the Grand Foundry Master. If I had known you weren't dead, if I had known you were the Grand Foundry Master, of course I wouldn't..."
"Enough!"
Looking at his groveling "friend," Aiboke was consumed by rage that nearly destroyed his reason.
"After the Graycast Corridor was built, when everyone was choosing a direction, you said you'd always wanted to see the sea since you were little, right?"
"You were the one who pushed for the establishment of more than half of the dozen or so satellite cities south of the Great Labyrinth City, weren't you?"
"Back in the mines, we all wanted to spare that man's life, just kick him out. But you personally executed that traitor who had been bribed by the vampire nobles."
"Do you remember?"
Aiboke looked at the obviously aged man he was holding in his hand:
"You told us back then that mercy should not be reserved for traitors."
His facial expression changed repeatedly, but Keen Rizzos finally revealed a dejected look as he allowed Aiboke to remove most of the mechanical parts from his body, leaving only the parts that could sustain his life, before handing them over to the Great Labyrinth City for packaging.
