" Palmer!"
[ Divine Wings ] roared in the air.
In the battlefield below, a skeleton general who had already shouldered Osmond's burden immediately looked up at the sky.
He was the Border Garrison Warlord Palmer, a High Tier like Osmond.
Although he had been at the High Tier for decades, he had not found a good way to improve, so his strength was not considered great, basically at the same level as Osmond.
The problem was that Osmond's promotion came much later than his own, so when [ Divine Wings ] called for Osmond before, Palmer was unwilling, but in the end he still chose to accept.
But now, he heard the congressman's summons once again!
What happened?
Is Osmond unable to perform his duties?
Or is Osmond already dead?
Palmer felt a chill run down his spine, but also felt even more elated.
He glanced at the sky, then at the chaotic battlefield, and immediately spotted a man covered in blood shouting:
"What's your name, that Bastion Lord under Osmond?"
Hearing someone calling his name, Colin, the Bastion Lord had just charged out, immediately turned to look at the warlord he didn't recognize:
"Sir, my name is Colin!"
"Alright, everyone, listen up! I appoint Colin as acting commander-in-chief, to command this battlefield until I return!"
As he spoke, he threw an arm bone engraved with special runes in Colin's direction.
Having already been resurrected, the [ Ginseng Rooster ], like a Border Collie being trained, leaped up, grabbed the arm bone in mid-air, and then respectfully presented it to Colin:
"Congratulations, sir, on your promotion to Commander-in-Chief!"
Colin grabbed the arm bone:
"Now that you've been resurrected, get back to the team! Everyone!"
He raised the arm bone, wanting to give some precise instructions, but his mind was completely blank.
After all, he had only recently been promoted to Bastion Lord; before that, he was just an ordinary fortress knight with only a little over a hundred skeleton soldiers under his command.
There are at least several hundred fortress-guarding knights of this caliber on this battlefield. What experience could he possibly have? What kind of attacks could he command?
Colin seemed to have thought of this as well, but this time he didn't look at his advisors. Instead, he shouted loudly with his brain already controlled by his ambition:
"Follow me to slay the monsters!"
"Ooooooooo!!!!"
A large group of players immediately started howling in a very respectful manner, and even the skeletons, whether they admired, despised, or envied them, joined in the howling. Then, everyone rushed towards the horde of Blood Corpse that had fallen from Rosalind.
Rosalind's vampire army had lost its supreme leader, but it began to writhe and attack wildly like a snake with its head cut off, making the battle even slightly more difficult than before.
The two Border Garrison Warlord each commanded approximately 20,000 men, and even after the previous battles, they still had around 15,000 men remaining.
At Colin's call, the 15,000 soldiers rallied their remaining strength and began fighting the enemy.
At the same time, intense light once again shone down from the sky. Everyone knew that it was the radiance of Lord [ Divine Wings ], and they felt that their bodies were more powerful when bathed in such light.
With this in mind, countless skeleton soldiers charged forward, only to die in various ways.
In their final moments before death, all they could think of was—[ Divine Wings ] is still watching over us!
However, this is not the case.
The reason why [ Divine Wings ] emitted a dazzling light was entirely to conceal its actions, or rather... to conceal its crimes.
After all, his purpose in summoning Palmer was nothing other than to verify one of his ideas:
If you're this powerful with only one sword, wouldn't you be guaranteed to win with two?
Whether [ Divine Wings ] can secure a win is uncertain, but Palmer is definitely going to lose today.
Having learned from the previous experience, this time [ Divine Wings ] didn't even bother with pleasantries.
When Palmer came to his side, he immediately unleashed a dazzling burst of light that he had been holding back for a long time.
Palmer only had time to cover his eyes. By the time the bright light disappeared, Warlord Palmer was nowhere to be seen, and [ Divine Wings ] now held a complete skull longsword.
At this moment, [ Divine Wings ] held a longsword in his right hand and a shortsword in his left. When he put his hands together, the two completely crystallized weapons instantly intertwined like vines.
As the crystal clusters intertwined, grew, and became entangled, an unprecedented crystal cluster giant sword appeared in [ Divine Wings ]'s hands.
[ Divine Wings ]'s height is generally considered to be on the taller side for an average human, and the sword in his hand is already longer than two people, with a blade width that is almost the same as that of an average human.
In other words, this sword is completely unusable by someone who cannot fly. Even if it were possible, the only skill it could unleash would be swinging the greatsword in circles to disperse crowds.
But in [ Divine Wings ]'s hands, this is a genuine divine artifact.
Looking at the lich in front of him, [ Divine Wings ] felt refreshed and invigorated.
Monster, come forward and die!
"So flashy!"
At the top of the Resurrection Tree, Ed shouted joyfully.
Although I don't know what [ Divine Wings ] was thinking when he started throwing flashbangs around, it was really flashy just now.
He happened to be facing away from the bright light, while the mechanical falcon that was entangled with Ed got a full meal.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Ed's man-eating flower right arm delivered a heavy blow to it. After a period of torture and torment, the giant bird, with a broken wing and a tail that had been almost completely ripped off, left the battlefield, becoming one of the few survivors in today's PUBG battle royale who managed to leave alive after losing.
Ed didn't intentionally spare its life; he was just busy fighting with Samuer.
In this long-distance battle of roots, it's true that Ed held Samuer back, but it's also fair to say that Samuer held Ed back.
Fortunately, neither side had any intention of going to war, so they are currently focused on the game of strategy.
Ed, however, was clearly thinking further ahead. He needed to drive Samuer away from today's battlefield because he knew that, according to his plan, many people in the Demon Realm would die today and in the period to come.
There were a lot of people.
The aerial battle remained deadlocked. Seeing that the skeletons in the distance seemed to have acquired new weapons, Vanessa, hidden beneath her visor, suddenly had an idea:
"I suggest we kill one of them first."
"Good."
Upon hearing Vanessa's voice, [ Divine Wings ] immediately responded:
"Then let's kill the lich first!"
Upon receiving the order, Sailesi delivered a powerful punch to create distance between himself and the dwarf, then immediately flew to support [ Divine Wings ].
Meanwhile, Vanessa, despite receiving the signal, had no intention of leaving and instead launched another fierce attack on Wens.
Blood-red, illusory ice shards kept appearing around Wens, piercing him repeatedly to the Grand Duke's astonishment, and eventually enveloping him in a giant ice sphere.
They killed Wens again; that should buy them some time.
Seeing the enormous ice ball, Vanessa immediately turned and went to surround and kill the lich.
