Just then, a beam of blood-red light shot into the sky, followed by Wens's voice, filled with anger and madness:
If you lock me in the hockey puck again, I'm going to get really angry!
Practice makes perfect, and practice makes perfect.
Upon seeing Wens resurrected, Sailesi immediately attempted to activate [ Dream of Rebirth ] for the third time without hesitation.
However, Vanessa's voice came at that moment:
"Don't use that on Wens! With his current strength, he's far more terrifying than Rosalind when he goes berserk!"
However, it was too late. In the instant Vanessa gave her her instructions, Sailesi had already crushed the [ Dream of Rebirth ] spider lily in his hand.
At that very moment, Wens had already darted in front of him.
The Psionic Energy didn't even have time to spread before it was completely absorbed into Wens' body, like a chemical agent that should have been inhaled directly from the bottle being inhaled...
In an instant, even the patriarch of the vampire lineage was thrown into confusion, frozen in place.
Vanessa had already severed one of the lich's arms, naturally guessed what would happen next when she saw this scene.
To prevent their fragile Alliance from collapsing instantly, Vanessa gritted her teeth and shouted to Sailesi:
You handle him!
The two sides instantly switched battlefields. Sailesi switched to his Giant Arms form and held the lich hammer, while in the distance, [ Divine Wings ] and the dwarf were exchanging swords. Vanessa then came to Wens and launched an attack without hesitation.
"Bite!"
Wens' hands gripped Vanessa's lance firmly, like a pair of iron pincers.
A flash of lightning, and the charred flesh instantly regenerated.
Ice blades were everywhere, and the frostbitten parts were decisively discarded.
Vanessa tried everything, but nothing could shake Wens in the slightest.
The vampire grand duke was frantically drinking the liquid from the Blood Pool like a thirsty child, so much so that the blood formed a crimson waterspout that shot from the ground straight into his body.
His eyes were half-dazed and half-awake at this moment, his hands gripping the lance as he looked at Vanessa:
"You know why I'm angry."
Vanessa looked into the eyes of her blood relative through the mask:
"Yes, I know."
Her voice was slightly lower:
But that was an illusion.
That's in the past!
Wens shouted:
"Authentic history! I saw it again! I experienced it again!"
Vanessa's face showed a hint of embarrassment:
"It's been almost ten thousand years... and you still can't forget?"
"At that time, the True Ancestor had already died, and everyone had only recently split apart. They hadn't even fully mastered their own abilities yet; they were still in the development stage..."
Some conflict is normal.
Wens's face was contorted in an extreme way:
Is this normal?
"Normal..."
Vanessa's voice was hoarse:
"Yes, Rosalind was wrong; she shouldn't have bullied you..."
"Stop talking!"
"She shouldn't have forced you to use your Authority to absorb nutrients..."
"Shut up!"
"A history of eating..."
"Aaaaaah! You still remember! I'll kill you!"
Wens instantly flew into a rage, and the power he had accumulated over half a century squeezed into the Blood Pool through the cracks between the rocks, and was continuously supplied to his body by the blood tornado.
Vanessa silently counted how long she could hold on, but felt utterly powerless.
Vampires really do have a dark side!
He's remembered something so trivial for almost ten thousand years!
Rosalind is dead now, and she's still angry!
All I did back then was laugh...
Vanessa felt increasingly exhausted as she thought about it, but she also realized that she was indeed in the wrong.
In the early days after everyone's birth, Rosalind became the true leader of the vampires by virtue of her power to devour them.
Because their power conversion wasn't as fast as Rosalind's, none of them could defeat her, and they naturally suffered many humiliations.
It wasn't until later, as the vampires grew stronger, that they gradually separated...
I never imagined this would hurt Wens so much...
Just as Wens entered berserk mode, the outcome of the battle on the other side had already been decided.
The lich Ozilazis, having lost an arm, had a noticeably slower casting speed and was quickly knocked onto the mountain on the other side of the river by the four-armed Sailesi, thus breaking out of the coverage area of Blood Pool, a mobile fountain.
Having already lost the continuous healing effect once he stepped out of the Blood Pool, and given the extreme difficulty of fighting four opponents at once, Ozilazis finally became the first to be eliminated in this series of battles.
After his final resistance failed, the lich muttered things like "immortality," "new spell," and "I won't lose," before Sailesi snapped his neck.
Sailesi was absolutely certain that Ozilazis was dead, but what he didn't understand was that at the moment the lich died, something he couldn't fathom seemed to have emanated from his corpse.
It was neither Psionic Energy nor any power he knew of; Sailesi couldn't even clearly perceive its existence.
All he knew was that the mysterious substance completely ignored the existence of space and vanished from its spot in the next instant.
However, before Sailesi could even catch his breath, a hand, a thin, bony hand, suddenly emerged from the ground beside Ozilazis.
Sailesi took a step back and then sprang to his feet, his hand pressing down on the face of Ozilazis's corpse.
As the already withered corpse became even more like a dried-up mummy, the owner of that hand poked his head out from underground.
He was dressed in the standard bishop's robes of the Tree Worship Church, tall and thin, with glasses framed by withered branches on his face, a faint smile still lingering on his lips, and several radiating withered branches behind him.
"Who are you?"
Sailesi paused for a moment, unable to recall for a second who this familiar face belonged to.
"Oh, have you already forgotten about me?"
The young man pushed up his glasses:
"It seems you have some memory loss, Sailesi."
It's you!
Sailesi instantly remembered that the young man in front of him was none other than Samuer, his collaborator in the Holy City, another " Son of God," Luxiusi's personal attendant.
The other person's appearance is now exactly the same, while he himself has become a skeleton.
But surprisingly, he recognized me first, instead of me recognizing him first...
Upon seeing that the other person remembered, Samuer smiled and said:
"You've done well, Sailesi. Guided by death, you brought this lich's corpse here, contributing to my resurrection."
"So listen carefully, we might be able to..."
"Bang!"
Samuer disappeared before Sailesi's eyes.
The one-legged skeleton belatedly looked to its side and saw a verdant figure already entangled with the youth who resembled a withered tree branch.
Watching the two figures walk further and further away, Sailesi uttered a bewildered sound:
"Uh, should I still listen?"
