Xilǐ'er's abilities?
What special abilities does that noob dog have?
It took Seraphina two seconds to realize that Ed was referring to the other person's resurrection ability.
What a joke! That was a gift from the Twin Kings of the Eternal Domain.
Although Seraphina herself had never heard the story of the Twin Kings, after hearing Xilǐ'er describe how "their blessings were showered upon the earth, freeing all life frozen by the Amber Dragon," she could roughly guess the Twin Kings ' power.
Although I'm reluctant to admit it, the Twin Kings sound like they're at least High Tier guaranteed, and stronger than me.
There's a whole Middle Tier between the Twin Kings and Ed; if you calculate it in detail by level, the difference is even greater.
Logically speaking, this should be impossible.
However, in World of Disorder, nothing is entirely impossible...
She looked at Ed:
"If what he said is true, that immortality is a gift from the Twin Kings, then it is absolutely impossible for you to replicate it now."
"But if you just want to do something similar... it's not impossible, but there will be significant limitations. For example, there will be restrictions on the additional materials required, the effective range of the ability, and so on. It's impossible to achieve a resurrection like Xilǐ'er's, which came at almost no material cost."
Ed lowered his head, lost in thought, when suddenly he noticed a flaw in Seraphina's words—
What does "almost no material cost" mean?
Ed felt that Seraphina wasn't the type to dig traps in this kind of place; although the dragon was greedy and arrogant, she had never lied to him when it came to knowledge.
This also demonstrates the tacit understanding between the man and the dragon.
Seraphina looked at Ed with a triumphant gaze:
I knew you wouldn't notice.
"Besides amnesia, the resurrection of that living armor cannot actually continue indefinitely."
Seraphina reached her hand towards the corner of the hall where Xilǐ'er had died four times—
In fact, Xilǐ'er's resurrection facing the mirror was not his third life in the castle, but his fifth...
Due to Seraphina's technical limitations, manufacturing the silver mirror did take some time, which resulted in Xilǐ'er being instantly killed by Seraphina twice, before he could even open his eyes after being resurrected.
During the repeated kills, Seraphina, with her keen sense of metal, also discovered some problems.
Her hand reached into the space where Xilǐ'er had died many times, and some tiny, black iron filings were drawn into her hand by an invisible force.
The iron filings accumulated and eventually formed an iron ball the size of a fist.
Seraphina weighed the iron ball in her hand and said confidently:
"See? His resurrection didn't come without a price. As long as I keep killing, the armored man will truly die."
Ed stared at the iron ball for a moment, roughly estimating that it would take at least a hundred severe blows to completely kill Xilǐ'er...
Although Xilǐ'er may be reduced to nothing but a sheet of iron or appear as a stick figure in the final few battles, he will remain a formidable opponent until then.
Crimson flames ignited in Seraphina's hand, and the originally jet-black iron ball was refined once again, quickly transforming into a bright red, blazing iron ball without the addition of any reducing agent.
The dragon girl casually tossed the iron ball aside and said nonchalantly:
"Give it back to him later."
Ed's lips twitched. Without glancing at the castle floor charred black by the scorching iron ball, he continued, "..."
"You mean, if we pay some price and sacrifice some general applicability, it's still possible to achieve something similar? How?"
Seraphina said with a smile:
"Of course it's the rules."
"Although you are only at the Low Tier, being at the Low Tier does not mean you cannot modify the rules; it just means your scope is very limited."
"I remember telling you before that the strong can modify the rules within their capabilities, and this power is amplified if they possess ownership of territory."
"You used that secret contract before, remember? It's a concrete manifestation of a rule, so all you need to do is..."
Ed's eyes were glazed over; he sensed that the big one was about to happen.
He roughly understood what Seraphina meant: modifying rules was a common ability after the world went out of control, and if the area being modified was within one's own territory, the ability would be enhanced.
Baron Tuer's Territory Secret Pact essentially anchors the rules for minor gravity modifications to the ownership of the territory, allowing him to manipulate gravity through the decree after obtaining territory certification.
Unexpectedly, Seraphina finally revealed a triumphant smile, clapping her hands as she did so.
"Okay, that's all for today."
"No way, buddy... is this how you teach people?"
Ed was stunned, and just as he was about to say something, he realized something was wrong.
Where did Seraphina learn this skill of creating suspense from?
To find out what happens next, please look forward to tomorrow's... Seraphina's Little Lesson.
Oh, it's me. Well... never mind then.
Seeing the conflicted expression on Ed's face, Seraphina felt a secret sense of satisfaction; she had finally made him empathize with her for once.
In the days before, whenever the knowledge he wanted to hear was right in front of him, Ed would always use excuses such as "happy education," "refusing to cram," and "don't bite off more than you can chew" to brush it off until the next day.
Seraphina had held this grudge for days, and today she finally succeeded in her revenge, feeling secretly delighted.
The girl left the castle with light steps and returned to the bank, where she greeted the newbies who had come to open accounts after completing the beginner's tasks.
Ed sat alone in the castle's main hall, lost in thought.
Rules, permissions, Territory Secret Pact...
Ed looked at a wound on his arm that had already healed, reached out and touched it. It felt very smooth inside, and it didn't seem like there was anything foreign inside.
He asked in his mind:
" Little Green, how did the Territory Secret Pact from last time go?"
That was after Ed defeated the monster in the wooden house. In order to give Little Green (himself) more power and enable her to perform more profound Psionic Energy manipulation, Ed implanted the Secret Code into his body and gave it to Little Green to analyze.
"It's been eaten."
The sapling gave a somewhat unexpected but reasonable answer.
"Oh?"
Ed became interested and reached out towards the still-warm iron ball, casting spells and chanting incantations, but nothing happened.
"Just eating without analysis?"
Ed grumbled inwardly.
"It's eat first, then analyze."
Little Green offered a defense:
"It'll be done soon, almost done. I've already allocated a lot... The 'computing power' you mentioned has gone over there, it'll be finished in a few days."
"That's good."
Ed closed his right eye, glanced at the current status of his players, checked their preparations, and said leisurely:
I reckon you'll need extra food in less than a week.
