Another reason for doing this is that nobody wants to be a player with a red name (indicating a negative online reputation).
This had happened before, a few months ago when the Fir City Operation had just been launched. Some players liked to steal the supplies collected by others and then impersonate them to complete the evacuation after the opponent summoned Soldier Bee.
This kind of gameplay was within Ed's permission; he simply labeled such players as temporary red-named players.
This label doesn't actually have any real debuff, but in the unparalleled immersive World of Disorder, a player's red ID is equivalent to someone in the real world having "I am Sandman Fan" written on their forehead. Many players and NPCs choose to avoid them during that period.
If a player can accept this game environment, then Ed actually allows them to compete with other players outside the safe zone and neutral zone.
After all, for someone as wealthy and powerful as him, if he could teach a player a lesson using the raw materials from one or two bodies, he considered it a worthwhile investment. A moment of silence followed, then [ The Retreat Drum Player ] asked:
"So what do we do now?"
The player from [ Master Club ], [ Elderly and Children Fly First ], was currently flying in the air like a whirling pigeon, and he said nonchalantly:
Actually, there is some good news as well.
"Although we can't get out, the Blood Corpse won't get in so easily either. Even if it gets dark soon, we'll be safe."
[ The Retreat Drum Player ] was somewhat displeased upon hearing this:
"Yes, it's safe now, but what about tomorrow? At least several hundred players will pass through here tomorrow. We'll make a fool of ourselves then, won't we?"
"Yes, it's easier to come up with solutions when there are more people involved."
[ Elderly and Children Fly First ] He nodded nonchalantly.
"As long as we can get out of here, let the jokes be. As for the land reclamation, although none of us are number one, we're not much slower than the leader. With teamwork, we can still catch up."
Somewhat frustrated, the [ Retreat Drum Player ] looked at the [ Howling Pothos ] again:
" Pothos, do you have any ideas?"
"Have."
[ Howling Pothos ] answered expressionlessly.
"Okay, I knew you didn't either..."
"Wait a minute?!"
With a gasp, everyone looked at [ Howling Pothos ], who had answered that there was a solution:
"You have a plan?! Hurry up and tell me, or do it!"
[ Howling Pothos ] shrugs:
"Listen to me first."
He looked around:
"Let me confirm first, everyone here is an adult, right?"
Everyone nodded, somewhat puzzled.
Everyone has received compulsory education, right?
Everyone nodded, still puzzled.
[ Howling Pothos ] breathed a sigh of relief, without explaining anything, but simply Directed Alienation his right hand into a launcher. With the release of a crossbow bolt, the recoil propelled his body abruptly backward.
Everyone then realized that he wanted to use this method to escape from this area.
They weren't naive; many science fiction movies depict astronauts moving in Weightlessness environments using jet propulsion. But another problem arose:
"Since you have a way, why don't you get out of here quickly?"
[ Howling Pothos ] shook its head upon hearing this:
"We can't get out."
He looked at everyone and said:
"The air here is a bit... viscous, and the gravitational field is constantly and slowly changing. Even with my [ Plant Compatibility ] at twelve points, it won't be easy to keep pushing my way to the edge of the domain by firing arrows."
Everyone then realized that, regardless of the difference between the air and the normal gravity environment outside, they had already guessed that the gravitational field was changing.
Even if they remain completely still, their bodies will continue to move erratically, just like in Ed's Shattered Castle. The environment here is not simply Weightlessness, but also accompanied by a gravitational field that can change direction at any time.
[ The Retreat Drum Player ] thought for a moment, then said in a rather serious tone:
"So, I also have a way to get out."
All eyes turned to him, and he gritted his teeth before finally revealing his ingenious idea:
"Although you can't reach me now, you can push me out of this area."
What should we use to push it?
[ Elderly and Children Fly First ] asked.
"Use arrows!"
[ The Retreat Drum Player ] was going all out; he looked at everyone and said:
"You shot me with arrows, pushing me out of this area, and then I used vines to pull you out."
Upon hearing this, everyone fell silent, though their concerns differed.
[ Howling Pothos ], [ Elderly and Children Fly First ], and their teammates were clearly worried that [ Retreat Drum Player ] would go out and take their teammates with him to run away.
Meanwhile, [ The Retreat Drum Player ] and his teammates were worried about whether their captain's health bar could withstand this brutal torture.
The pain isn't a concern, but what if someone dies and what comes out is a corpse?
Just as everyone fell silent, [ Howling Pothos ] suddenly spoke:
"I still have a way to get out."
Upon hearing this, everyone looked at the Idea King again.
[ Howling Pothos ] said:
"I can use the same method to work backwards, but I need one thing."
"What?"
Everyone expressed their confusion, while [ Howling Pothos ] pointed to a space near [ The Retreat Drum Player ]:
"I need that arm guard."
Everyone looked in the direction [ Howling Pothos ] was pointing, and saw a wooden arm armor floating in the air.
He originally wore this equipment [ Howling Pothos ] all the time, but because it was the first version of the design, it was still a bit inconvenient when drawing the bow, so he temporarily put it in the carriage. He didn't expect that a Weightlessness space would appear.
He continued to explain:
"My equipment can burn my health to fire extra crossbow bolts, and I've brought some health potions, so... you know what I mean?"
At this point, everyone understood [ Howling Pothos's] idea.
Using only Directed Alienation crossbow bolts is indeed not enough to reach the boundary, but if you take into account this arm armor that can burn blood during firing, and add a few potions on your body, it is quite possible to push yourself out.
Just as the three teams of players fell silent, [ Elderly and Children Fly First ] finally took the initiative to stand in line once again:
" Pothos Brother, I support you! We [ Master Club ] all support you."
A chorus of boos echoed across the open field, but the Elderly and Children Fly First " seemed to go unheard, as if the authorities were simply continuing to whitewash their actions.
