Both the player and Silvis are cheat-like characters with built-in night vision.
The assault vehicle wasn't luxurious enough to be equipped with headlights.
Therefore, when a humanoid figure standing in the middle of the road appears in front of a motorcycle traveling in the dark, most people would choose to slam on the brakes.
But players clearly don't belong to the vast majority of people.
Having left the Second Holy See and arrived in Klaf City, a "lawless zone," where all creatures are enemies, players have only one choice when facing an obstacle, especially a monster emerging from the darkness of the ground:
Kill it!
"Soldiers, don't stop, charge!"
Inside the carriage, Silvis gave the same command, and [ Traditional Eccentric Wheel ], sitting in the driver's seat, pulled the electric shock lever again.
Accompanied by screams, his brakes and clutches became ineffective for a short time. Despite being severely overloaded, the speed of the assault vehicle continued to increase thanks to the dedication of the Blood Corpse and their friendly assistance on the downhill slope.
The humanoid creature's position had changed from far ahead to not far ahead. If it remained standing still, it would be hit head-on in about three seconds.
The other side clearly realized this as well. It turned its head, its scarlet eyes fixed on the charging assault vehicle, and slowly extended its right hand, commanding like a judge deciding the fate of others:
"Stop!"
"Bang!"
A dull but massive impact rang out as the deliberately wedge-shaped front of the vehicle pierced through the monster in front of it, leaving a mass of flesh and blood evenly smeared on the front of the assault vehicle.
The two players hanging next to the "A-pillar" immediately used their vine tentacles as windshield wipers to clean up the flesh and blood that was obscuring the driver's view.
Clearly, faced with the sudden verdict from this judge who appeared out of nowhere, the players chose to become outlaws.
"What are you showing off for?"
[ Traditional Eccentric Wheel ] looked at the passenger in the passenger seat with a look of smug satisfaction; [ His Lion Hidden in the Eyes ].
"I don't know, but I saw red eyes. Since it's Blood Corpse, it doesn't matter if it's injured or killed."
"It can talk, so it's probably not an ordinary vehicle, but it's still not as good as my assault vehicle."
Just then, the two players who were casually wiping the vehicle on either side suddenly exclaimed in surprise:
What is this thing?
As they shouted this, they quickly plucked the vines and limbs from their bodies and threw them onto the road.
"What happened?"
Sitting in the back row, [ Shit Appraisal Master ] looked at the two familiar-looking players and asked.
"That Blood Corpse just now, its chunks of flesh were eating our vines."
"What?"
[ The Shit Appraisal Master ] couldn't believe his ears.
He had never heard of such an ability before; at least, it shouldn't exist among the currently unlocked Blood Corpse lineages.
Thinking about this, the [ Shit Appraisal Master ] quickly realized something:
"It might be a new lineage of Blood Corpse! Everyone be careful!"
He shouted loudly, but it was too late.
The assault vehicle's speed suddenly became very unstable, and the driver quickly realized something was wrong.
[ Traditional Eccentric Wheel ] Pull the electric shock lever forcefully:
"What's going on? My Psionic Energy reserves are still there, so why can't I use electric shocks?"
"Bang!"
The partition in front of the passenger, [ Lion Hidden in the Eyes ], suddenly shattered, revealing a hideous, Blood Corpse face that met his gaze.
The next instant, the Blood Corpse opened its blood-red maw as if to bite, but the mechanical hand on the side of [ the Lion Hidden in the Eyes ]'s neck grabbed its throat and pulled its entire upper body out of the hole:
I suggest you ask him yourself.
Looking at the mangled, Blood Corpse and the gradually disintegrating assault vehicle in front of him, [ Traditional Eccentric Wheel ] realized that asking this question wasn't necessarily a good idea.
"Aren't you going to ask? Fine, then don't."
Seeing that his companion had no intention of asking questions, the mechanical arm with " Lion Hidden in the Eyes " squeezed hard, breaking the Blood Corpse's spine and throwing it out of the car window.
At the same time, [ Traditional Eccentric Wheel ] immediately turned to the players in the back seat, carriage, and those with hanging tickets and shouted loudly:
"Abandon your vehicle, attack!"
This was a pre-arranged code. Once he, as both designer and driver, shouted this phrase, it meant that the experimental Blood Corpse -powered motorcycle had reached the point where it had to be abandoned, and the players had to immediately get away from this thing that could explode at any moment.
The players who had bought the hanging tickets were the first to react. Led by the professional players [ Retreat Drum Player ], they acted quickly, immediately letting go of the assault vehicle and landing on the open rocky ground with great agility.
The players in the convertible also reacted quickly, leaving the out-of-control vehicle at top speed; even Silvis jumped to a safe distance away.
The two "medics" sitting in the back were thrown out of the vehicle by [ Lion Hidden in the Eyes ], one in each hand. He then left the completely out-of-control armored vehicle with the driver.
After everyone had left the prototype, the mostly damaged vehicle continued to accelerate, eventually crashing into a rock wall at the end of the empty underground space with a loud "bang," exploding into a mess of flesh and parts.
"Dude, even green-skinned technology is more reliable than this stuff."
[ The Benevolent Father Above ] pressed his dislocated shoulder back into place, shaking his arm as he spoke. Another player chimed in:
"Yeah, it's only 650% overloaded, why couldn't it have held on a little longer? It's pure junk."
Something's not right.
[ Lion Hidden in the Eyes ] interrupted the group's conversation:
"It's not a problem with the car, it's a problem with that roadblock."
"What happened? Wasn't that Blood Corpse already killed by us?"
"Perhaps, but things only started to go wrong after we hit it."
[ With Lion Hidden in the Eyes ] he said earnestly:
"Even if we were smashed into pieces, our vines could still devour us; this has never happened before."
"And..."
He held the mechanical arm on the side of his neck horizontally in front of him, showing the outer side to everyone.
The players all looked over and saw a clear set of teeth marks on the smooth back of the mechanical arm.
"These are the marks left by the Blood Corpse in the engine, but... I caught those Blood Corpse myself, and they've already been rendered harmless. They shouldn't have teeth at all."
"Soldiers, be on alert!"
Before the players could respond, Silvis had already given a heads-up:
"Watch out, something's coming."
The gurgling sound appeared out of nowhere, but it became impossible to ignore once the players held their breath.
Fragments of bone and half-rotten flesh flowed from the smashed front of the car, pooling together in a crater on the ground.
A humanoid creature rose from the flesh and blood, facing the crowd, and once again opened its scarlet eyes:
Stop.
