This was half a compliment, and half a genuine sentiment.
Objectively speaking, Ed's method of reviving the players was not clever; in fact, it could be described as somewhat clumsy.
Judging from their abilities, Rosalind and Wens should be able to fabricate bodies, in addition to Grand Duke Antos.
What truly makes Ed's warriors invincible is the soul from another world; one could say that the soul is the true core of the Second Holy See's [ Soul Returner ].
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Ed quickly got to the point:
"Sir Silvis, I've heard about what you're doing. How much further is your armor collection plan in progress?"
As he spoke, he used Psionic Energy Formula to hand over the leg armor that Silvis had discarded shortly after the start of the battle.
The armor was once again perfectly fitted on his body, Silvis showed it to Ed and Willow:
"I'm missing one piece of carapace, one piece of gauntlet, and one piece of flank armor to complete the set. I can sense one of them is nearby."
"Good."
Ed glanced at the lich and said to the old knight:
"Since it's almost over, let's stay here and work together. That way, I can find out the location of Grand Duke Antos's seal as soon as possible."
"With one more Middle Tier like me, the subsequent operations will be much safer."
Silvis nodded upon hearing this and said:
"It would be best if you could help, but the Klaf City is very dangerous; it's difficult to move around freely unless you're at High Tier."
Willow immediately understood why Ed had looked at her earlier; he was asking if she wanted to stay and participate in the operation.
If they choose to return to Valhalla, the first thing to do, of course, is to interrogate Muller.
But at this moment, Muller should have already been captured by the magic array, and with his vitality, he won't die anytime soon.
Staying here to confirm the seal of a grand duke doesn't seem like a bad thing.
Willow's hatred for Wens doesn't mean she doesn't hate Antos.
In her view, there was no difference between the Blood Corpse; they would all die sooner or later.
"Then I'll come along too."
She said earnestly:
"I will use a tracking-type Psionic Energy Formula. If you don't mind, I can cast a spell on your armor to try and pinpoint the remaining armor fragments."
"I couldn't ask for more."
"I'm about to be fully recovered, "Silvis said earnestly.
Willow nodded upon hearing this, picked up the engraving knife used for carving circuits, and began to cast a spell.
A wisp of Psionic Energy entered Silvis's armor and began to locate itself in another dimension, relying on the inherent connection between them.
The lich suddenly opened his tightly closed eyes, deliberately avoiding the Black Sun that was constantly devouring Psionic Energy beside him, and scanned the underground of Klaf City, which he had successfully seen through.
Three points of light entered her field of vision. After noting their locations, Willow deactivated her Psionic Energy vision and looked back at Ed and Silvis:
"Location successful. There are three locations in total, none of them too far from here."
"Okay, let's go!"
Ed waved his hand, and the players quickly gathered around. The group then headed deeper into Klaf City.
Walking ahead, he looked at the thin Silvis, thought for a moment, and then asked:
"Old knight, I remember Xilǐ'er can Incarnation with steel. You have a physical body, will eating fruit make you feel better?"
Silvis looked at Ed with a puzzled expression:
"That's possible, but who said Xilǐ'er could strengthen himself with steel? No matter how powerful the armor is, people still need to eat..."
Looking into the old knight's sincere eyes, Ed suppressed his doubts, and several Tasteless Fruit quickly grew on his hand.
Behind them, the towering Resurrection Tree and its Spread roots withered and decayed little by little, eventually turning back into a wisp of dust in the underground city.
Among the people walking forward, [ Easily Soluble in Water ] whispered to [ Zhongde ]:
"I don't know why, but I always felt this place was pretty scary."
Don't you feel it now?
[ Easily Soluble in Water ] He shook his head:
"I don't feel it at all anymore. Although the scenery hasn't changed at all, it's not scary at all since the boss came. It's like..."
"Like what?"
He lowered his head and pondered for a moment before saying:
"It's like accidentally wandering into a terrifying cult village, calling your dad and uncles for help, only to end up with Vergil and Dante."
"If you can get these two to come, then you're not exactly a nobody either..."
[ Zhongde ] said with a smile,
"I wonder where the Grand Duke is. It's rare to have a powerful figure protecting him. I really want to see what High Tier is like."
[ Easily Soluble in Water ] (scratched his head)
"I had similar thoughts, but I'm a little worried that the boss won't be able to protect us."
"That makes sense, but Ed is also a character who grows stronger, right? It seems like he was only Low Tier- level when the game first launched, but he's getting stronger and stronger now, hasn't he?"
"That makes sense, but he's not at High Tier yet. What if he happens to see the unsealed Antos today..."
"Then we can only pray that Ed runs fast."
Under the guidance of the three Middle Tier, the quest to collect all the armor pieces is progressing more and more smoothly.
Muller was indeed very efficient at clearing out the Blood Corpse. In nearly an hour, the group didn't see a single animal or worm, let alone a Blood Corpse.
It seems the Rosalind Lineage is indeed very hungry. Fortunately, the Graycast Corridor and the Eternal Domain are the two gatekeepers. Otherwise, if these Blood Corpse from this lineage were to enter the Kraf Grand Dining Hall, the Antos and Adelaide Lineage would probably be reduced to welfare recipients.
After winding their way for a long distance, the group finally saw the Blood Corpse wearing Silvis's equipment again.
This time, the Blood Corpse were different from any before. They appeared short and agile, and the old knight's backplate had become a half-body shield in the hands of a slightly taller Blood Corpse.
Looking at the monsters' pale gray skin, [ Benevolent Father Above ] frowned and asked:
"Is this... Goblin?"
I think so.
[ Elderly and Children Fly First ] After thinking about it...
"I remember the encyclopedia said that after the Demonic Tide, the Blood Corpse first wiped out most of the races in the Demon Realm before launching an attack on the human kingdoms."
"The troll Blood Corpse from before, Goblin Blood Corpse now, should all be remnants from that time."
"What else is there to say? Dungeons should have Goblin!"
The players discussed amongst themselves, and with the three veteran players in charge, they easily defeated the group and retrieved the back armor for Silvis.
The subsequent operations went relatively smoothly. With Muller's battles as a precedent, neither the giant spider that wrapped its gauntlets in its web as a brood pouch nor the Earl of Adelaide Lineage, who was analyzing the purpose of his abdominal armor, posed any significant challenges to the players.
When the last piece of the abdominal armor was brought to Silvis's side, the old knight's spirit seemed to rise to a whole new level.
He reached out his hand towards the abdominal armor, and the armor seemed to receive a summons, briefly becoming ethereal before flying towards his side.
Watching this spectacular scene, [ Dawn Ah ] couldn't help but sigh:
"He looks like Iron Man..."
