Background / History

In ancient times, the Great Thousand World was invaded by the Outer Realm Evil Race. The conflict devastated entire continents, killed innumerable Earthly and Heavenly Sovereigns, and cost the world half of its territory. The Primal Beast Continent was shattered during this war; its surviving fragments later became supercontinents. 141 231 245

The Immortal Emperor used arrays to seal the Heavenly Evil God at the Northern Barren Hills, buying the Great Thousand World time to recover. His descendants, the Gravekeeper Clan, remained there to guard the sealing ground for tens of thousands of years. 218 415 421

By the present era, the world had restored much of its strength, though ruined continents and demonic contamination remained. The Great Thousand Palace and its Demon Slayers guarded vulnerable regions, especially locations where Outer Realm Evil Race remnants could infiltrate through the void. 245 322 323

The Outer Realm Evil Race launched a renewed invasion before the Great Thousand Covenant. The Great Thousand World's major powers, ancient clans, Divine Beast clans, and Heavenly Sovereigns united at the Northern Barren Hills, where the Great Thousand Demon Transformation Array was used against the Heavenly Evil God. 415 417 418 421

After the Heavenly Evil God's sealing and the defeat of the invading demon forces, the world's experts counterattacked across lower planes and demon-infested territories. Within a year, the Outer Realm Evil Race had become history and the territory lost in the ancient war returned to the Great Thousand World. 421 422 425

• The Great Thousand World contains countless continents, ranging from insignificant small continents such as Hundred Spirits Continent to supercontinents such as Sky Net Continent, Futuo Continent, and Maha Continent. 43 168 391 407
• Its scale makes intercontinental travel difficult even through Teleportation Arrays; returning from Northern Azure Continent to the Northern Spirit Realm required roughly half a month. 119

World Will and the Sky Ranking

The Great Thousand World possesses a World Will, first sensed by the Immortal Emperor. The Sky Ranking is this will's manifestation: a vast light screen containing imagery of mountains, rivers, celestial bodies, and the world itself. 423

Those recognized by the Sky Ranking can imprint their true names upon it and draw on World Power. This is the path beyond Saint Grade and the basis of the Dominator Realm. 423 424
