Seeing the message that the mission was completed, Cheng Che felt a great sense of relief.
He went through the experiences of the past few months in his mind.
The three days of agonizing thought spent in my room in my hometown of Spring City, the dozens of revisions to my PowerPoint presentation after returning to Capital City, the sleepless night before the presentation, and those few seconds just now when I stood on the stage to receive the trophy.
From the initial proof to the official award, it took nearly three months in total.
He leaned back in his chair and continued looking down.
[Congratulations, host, on becoming Higher Incubus! The path to becoming the Incubus King has been opened!]
[Attribute cap unlocked. Current stage: Top-Tier Incubus. Trial quest not yet available; will automatically activate once host attributes reach the current cap.]
Cheng Che made a mental estimate.
His current stats are all around 80, and the maximum should be 90.
It's almost 10 o'clock, not too far, but not in a hurry either.
The Intelligence Trial is complete, and the Charisma Trial and Stamina Trial have long since ended. Now it's time to reflect and prepare.
I'll go back to school to catch up on the lessons I missed and prepare for the upcoming competition and filming.
He continued looking at the rewards.
[Congratulations, host, you have acquired the passive talent " Child of Wisdom "]
[Congratulations, host, on obtaining the title "Teacher"]
[ Child of Wisdom: The host's comprehension is greatly enhanced, increasing the probability of triggering inspiration-type talents. The efficiency of learning new knowledge, understanding new concepts, and Comprehension by Analogy is significantly improved.]
Cheng Che's eyes lit up.
He currently possesses several inspirational talents, such as [ Flash of Inspiration ] and [ Comprehension by Analogy ], both of which are triggered by probability.
The increased trigger probability for the Child of Wisdom is equivalent to further enhancing his already strong learning ability.
[Teacher: The host's teaching ability has been greatly enhanced, and students' efficiency in acquiring knowledge has increased significantly. In scenarios such as lecturing, explaining, and guiding, students' comprehension speed and memory effectiveness have doubled.]
Cheng Che paused for a moment, then smiled.
He recalled what Professor Liu had told him before, "You'd be a good candidate to teach at Peking University if you ever quit playing tennis."
He took it as a joke at the time, but he didn't expect the system to give him the title of "Teacher".
He thought to himself that even if he left the entertainment industry someday, he could still find a good job just based on this title.
After receiving his reward, he led his team back to the studio.
Qin Lie had arranged a large conference room on the first floor in advance, with two rows of red envelopes on the long table, each one bulging with money.
When Cheng Che walked in, the studio was already full of people.
There are three people in the publicity team, two in the business team, one in the legal team, one in the finance team, Chen Wei as an assistant, makeup artist Xiao Yang, stylist A Kai, and a few other assistants who usually accompany the team to events.
"Thank you all for your hard work these past few days." Cheng Che stood at the front, his tone casual. "From Paris to Shenzhen City, and now to receiving this award, I couldn't have managed it all by myself without your support."
He pointed to the red envelopes on the table. "Take them yourself. Hot pot tonight, my treat."
As soon as she finished speaking, Chen Wei was the first to rush forward.
She picked up a red envelope, squeezed it, then opened it, took out the cash inside, and glanced at it.
She was stunned.
Xiao Yang, who was standing nearby, leaned over and asked, "How much?"
Chen Wei turned the banknotes over, her voice trembling slightly. "Ten thousand. A stack. Ten thousand yuan."
There was a moment of silence in the meeting room. Then it exploded.
"How many???"
"Ten thousand???"
"Holy shit!!!"
Several people sprang up from their chairs at the same time and lunged at the table.
Some people's hands were shaking after opening the red envelopes; some even jumped up and hugged the person next to them. A young woman from the finance team cried out after opening her red envelope, then covered her mouth and squatted down.
Qin Lie stood to the side, a smirk playing on his lips, an expression that said, "I knew it all along."
Xiao Yang examined the red envelope closely, turning it over and over before looking up with a complicated expression. "Boss, did you put an extra zero in it?"
"Not much," Cheng Che said. "On that flight from Paris to Shenzhen City, you guys spent two days adjusting to the time difference, and then started working as soon as you landed. After returning from Shenzhen City, you were rushing to the awards ceremony, and didn't even get a weekend off. It's what you deserve."
Xiao Yang opened his mouth, but couldn't say anything. Then he bowed Cheng Che, his voice twice as loud as usual. "Thank you, boss!!!"
Others followed suit and bowed, some shouting "Boss is so generous!" while others had already started calculating how to spend the money.
Chen Wei leaned closer and whispered, "Boss, can we order tripe for hot pot?"
Cheng Che glanced at her. "Order. Order whatever you want to eat."
"Can I order three plates?"
You can order ten plates, that's fine.
Chen Wei sat down contentedly, clutching the red envelope, her face beaming with joy.
"I'll go book a hot pot restaurant right now!" One of the boys from the publicity team stood up and was about to rush out when someone next to him grabbed him.
"What's the rush? Put the red envelope away first!"
"I've got it safe, I'll put it in my pocket now--"
The meeting room was bustling with activity for a while, filled with laughter, conversation, and the rustling of red envelopes being opened—it was even more lively than during the Chinese New Year.
Cheng Che leaned against the doorframe, watching them fool around, and smiled.
Then he turned and left the studio, opened the door of the Volvo, and drove towards Dongba.
Dongba Star Shadow Cultural and Creative Park is located in the eastern part of Capital City, not far from his apartment, about a 20-minute drive.
The park is very large, filled with all kinds of studios and cultural companies.
Ruanning Music is a detached two-story building with white exterior walls and two ginkgo trees planted at the entrance.
Cheng Che parked his car on the side of the road and got out. The security guard greeted him with a smile.
"Mr. Cheng, you've arrived."
" Brother Wang," Cheng Che nodded to him, "On duty today?"
"Yes." The security guard smiled honestly, "You go in, Manager Zhou is inside."
Cheng Che pushed open the door and went in. The first floor had a reception area and two practice rooms, with the walls covered with Yan Ruanning's album covers and concert posters.
He had just reached the top of the stairs when Xiao Zhou came out of the office next door.
" Cheng Che!" Xiao Zhou strode over, smiling and opening his arms. "Long time no see."
Cheng Che hugged her. "Have you been busy lately?"
"Busy, but all for good things." Xiao Zhou let go of him and looked him up and down. "You look great today. At an awards ceremony?"
"Yes. I just received it."
"Congratulations!" Xiao Zhou nodded with a smile. " Ruanning is in the recording studio. Shall I take you up?"
"No need, I know the way," Cheng Che said. "You go about your business."
Xiao Zhou didn't insist any further, waved to him, and went back to her office.
Cheng Che went up to the second floor.
As he walked down the corridor, several staff members peeked out from the office next to the recording studio to look at him, their eyes brighter than before.
In the past, when he came, they were excited, but they were still able to keep their composure.
Things are different now. He's a top-tier celebrity, and with his status as a mathematician, people who appreciate good looks and intelligence are swooning.
One girl whispered, "He looks like he's wearing a Rolex today." Another girl chimed in, "Stop looking, go back to work," but she couldn't help glancing at it a couple more times herself.
Cheng Che walked to the door of the recording studio and gently knocked.
Footsteps came from inside, and the door opened.
Yan Ruanning stood at the door, wearing a loose beige sweater, her hair casually tied up, and holding earphones in her hand.
She was taken aback when she saw Cheng Che.
Then Cheng Che took out a pair of gold-rimmed glasses from his pocket and slowly put them on.
With his other hand, he took out a book called " Fundamentals of Calculus " from behind his back, with the cover facing outwards, and held it up to his chest.
He looked at Yan Ruanning with a serious expression. "Yan, your teacher is here to give you a lesson."
Yan Ruanning's face turned bright red instantly!!
