Qiu Ruoshui worked at Skywater Academy’s admissions desk when Xiao Yao applied under the female identity Shui Lingji. She checked the applicant’s bone age and was shocked to discover that “Shui Lingji” was only eight years old. Comparing the applicant’s developed figure with her own left her feeling inferior. Shui Bing’er took over the assessment, and Ruoshui left in tears 27.

During the later journey to sea, Shui Bing’er identified Ruoshui as Qiu Wanxi’s daughter and explained that she possessed their family’s inherited Martial Soul, the Lord of Water 37.
