Ch. 321Holding the Line

Zenitsu tried to protect Aoi Kanzaki from Tengen Uzui, while Teiichi and Kanon returned to the Butterfly Mansion. Tengen asked Teiichi to support his investigation into the disappearance of his wives in the Entertainment District, and Teiichi questioned why he was needed.

  • Zenitsu stepped in front of Aoi Kanzaki and challenged Tengen Uzui, but Tanjiro told him that Tengen was a Hashira.
  • Tengen struck Inosuke for disrespecting him, questioned his training, and asked where Kato was; Tanjiro said Teiichi was still training.
  • On their way back, Kanon asked Teiichi about becoming a Hashira, and he told her the title mattered less than using one's abilities well.
  • At the Butterfly Mansion, Tengen explained that Hinatsuru and the others had disappeared while investigating the Entertainment District, suggesting an Upper Rank was involved.
  • Tengen asked Teiichi to hold the line while he continued the investigation, and Teiichi asked why Tengen wanted him there.

Ch. 322May Fortune Favor You in Battle

Teiichi and Tengen Uzui prepared to investigate a suspected Upper Rank demon in the Entertainment District, with Teiichi believing Daki might be there. They set out with Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, while Nezuko stayed with Teiichi, and Teiichi carried Tamayo’s box for collecting Upper Rank blood.

  • Tengen Uzui reasoned that Akaza was probably the Upper Rank in the Entertainment District, but Teiichi questioned his assumptions about the demon’s identity.
  • Tengen asked Teiichi to bring three Corps members as bait; Teiichi assigned Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, and told Kanon to remain behind and train the Corps members.
  • Teiichi agreed to collect blood from the Upper Rank for Tamayo’s research and received a small box from her before leaving Kanae with her blessing.
  • Teiichi, Tengen, Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Nezuko traveled by cart toward the Entertainment District, with Teiichi promising Nezuko would stay with him during the mission.

Ch. 323The Entertainment District

Teiichi and Tengen Uzui brought Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke to the Yoshiwara Entertainment District to prepare for a demon mission. Uzui revealed that his wife had gone missing while undercover there, and an unseen voice reacted to the news.

  • Teiichi stopped Inosuke from drawing his swords and told the group the mission would begin the next day.
  • Zenitsu misunderstood the district’s purpose, while Uzui explained Yoshiwara and its residents to Tanjiro.
  • Uzui said the group’s priority was to find his missing wife, who had infiltrated the district for the mission.
  • Teiichi clarified the situation to Zenitsu, and an unseen voice asked, “They’re missing?”

Ch. 324A Money-Losing Proposition

Teiichi took Nezuko around the lively Entertainment District while Tengen Uzui placed Tanjiro and the others in disguise as part of the search for the missing women. The group prepared to investigate, though Teiichi also drew attention from a madam who mistook Nezuko for a child he was selling.

  • Tengen Uzui told Inosuke the missing women might still be alive because a demon was unlikely to eat another person so soon, and Inosuke vowed to rescue them.
  • Teiichi took Nezuko, shrunk to a little girl, through the Entertainment District and angrily rejected a madam who tried to buy her for Keisei House.
  • Nezuko pointed out a crowd, and Teiichi lifted her so she could see Koinatsu, the oiran from Tokito House.
  • Tengen Uzui joined Teiichi and Nezuko, joked about Teiichi's interest in oiran, and explained that he had placed Inosuke, Tanjiro Kamado, and Zenitsu Agatsuma in different houses.
  • Tengen Uzui said he had told the three to meet each day during daylight, and Teiichi offered to help search for the missing women.

Ch. 325Training to Become an Oiran

Teiichi searched the Entertainment District with Nezuko and used his Wind Field to locate the cavern where Daki kept her captives, but decided not to act yet. At Kyogoku House, Zenitsu was bought as a servant and, stung by the geisha’s ridicule, resolved to become an oiran.

  • Teiichi agreed with Tengen Uzui to search for the Upper Rank, while Tengen asked him to let him fight first if they found the demon.
  • Teiichi used his Wind Field to find Daki’s cavern, where sashes hung in the air, but chose to wait so Daki would not escape.
  • Nezuko pointed Teiichi toward a lively area, and he took her there to look around.
  • Tengen watched the street from the roof of Kyogoku House and worried that Hinatsuru, Makio, or Suma might become the next victim.
  • The madam brought Zenitsu to Kika, Kari, and Osetsu to test his artistic talent after buying him from a handsome customer who paid her to take him.
  • After the geisha mocked his looks and low value, Zenitsu played the biwa and vowed to become the oiran.

Ch. 326Let Go of This Girl!

Teiichi and the others compared their lack of clues about the missing people while Zenitsu concealed what he had been doing. That night, Zenitsu found Daki abusing a little girl and turned back to confront her.

  • Tanjiro and Inosuke reported that they had found no clues, and Zenitsu also claimed he had found nothing.
  • Teiichi monitored the Entertainment District from a rooftop using the Wind Field, watching for signs of a fight.
  • Zenitsu entered a room at Kyogoku House after hearing a little girl crying and discovered Daki behind him.
  • Daki berated the girl for failing to clean and painfully pulled her ear as Zenitsu tried to leave and seek help.
  • Zenitsu turned back, grabbed Daki's hand, and demanded that she let the girl go.

Ch. 327Daki

Daki attacked Zenitsu and knocked him unconscious while Tanjiro discovered her at Toki House and lured her onto the rooftops. Teiichi moved to the underground cavern with Nezuko as Tengen Uzui followed the wind’s signal toward Daki, leaving Inosuke to check the cavern.

  • Daki struck Zenitsu unconscious after he rushed to protect a little girl, then began producing sashes from behind her waist.
  • Inosuke told Tengen Uzui that a demon had burrowed underground inside Ogimoto House, and the two headed toward the cavern.
  • At Toki House, Tanjiro delivered gifts to Koinatsu, sensed a powerful demon, recognized Daki, and jumped out a window to draw her away from the crowd.
  • Teiichi saw Tanjiro and Daki head toward a secluded area, then took Nezuko with him toward the underground cavern.
  • Tengen Uzui followed the strong wind toward Tanjiro and Daki, while he told Inosuke to check the cavern and run if he encountered an Upper Rank.

Ch. 328Battlefield

Tanjiro fought Daki on the rooftops and tried to hold her off until Kato and Uzui could arrive, while Teiichi watched the battles nearby. Tanjiro remained locked in combat with Daki as Teiichi prepared to help the people trapped underground escape.

  • Tanjiro dodged Daki’s sash attacks across the rooftops, then faced her after she threatened to kill bystanders.
  • Daki told Tanjiro that Zenitsu was alive but that she was deciding whether to eat him, angering Tanjiro.
  • Tanjiro attacked Daki with Water Breathing, but her soft sashes blocked his blade as he continued fighting to draw help.
  • Teiichi observed Tanjiro fighting Daki, Uzui fighting Gyutaro, and Inosuke battling the remaining sashes underground.
  • Teiichi realized the others would need to dig their way out and slammed his foot into the ground.

Ch. 329The Cavern

Inosuke tracked a demon through Ogimoto House and found a hidden passage leading to a cavern filled with sashes containing people. He fought and destroyed one sash demon, but another appeared as the cavern’s threat continued.

  • Inosuke smashed through the wall and floor of Ogimoto House to follow the demon’s hidden route.
  • Inosuke squeezed through a narrow passage and fell into a cavern filled with pink sashes and scattered bones.
  • Inosuke realized that the sashes held living people and dodged an attack from a sash with eyes and a mouth.
  • Inosuke cut through the attacking sashes and destroyed the sash with eyes using Beast Breathing techniques.
  • A new sash with red lips and bewitching eyes descended from the cavern ceiling.

Ch. 330Inoko

Inosuke freed the captives from Daki’s sashes and learned that Tengen had gone to confront the demon controlling them. As the group hurried to help Tengen, Zenitsu and Inosuke heard how powerful Kato Teiichi was compared with the Hashira.

  • Inosuke cut through the remaining sashes and freed Hinatsuru, Makio, Suma, and Zenitsu.
  • Zenitsu and Inosuke argued, and Suma woke up and called Inosuke “Inoko,” prompting Zenitsu to laugh at him.
  • Inosuke told the others that Tengen had gone after the demon controlling the sashes, and the women grew worried that Tengen was fighting an Upper Rank.
  • Zenitsu said Kato Teiichi seemed far stronger than the Upper Rank he had faced, and Suma explained that Kato had escaped the demons’ lair after killing two Upper Ranks.
  • Hinatsuru urged everyone to get back up and help Tengen, while Makio and Suma defended Tengen’s strength.

Ch. 331Work

Zenitsu, Inosuke, Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma searched for a way out of the cavern until Teiichi and Nezuko broke through the ceiling to rescue them. Teiichi sent the group ahead to help Tanjiro and Uzui fight the Upper Rank while he stayed behind to escort the trapped civilians to the surface.

  • Zenitsu and the others spotted a tiny exit hole, but Hinatsuru decided they should dig upward instead of trying to squeeze through it.
  • Zenitsu heard rumbling above, and Teiichi and Nezuko broke through the cavern ceiling.
  • Zenitsu mistook Nezuko’s arrival as a rescue for him, then argued with Inosuke after she called out Inosuke’s name.
  • Teiichi told the group that Uzui was doing okay but Tanjiro was in danger, and ordered them to hurry to the fight.
  • Teiichi blasted Zenitsu, Inosuke, Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma up through the opening, then stayed behind to help the trapped civilians.

Ch. 332One body

Tengen Uzui arrived in time to save Tanjiro and faced Gyutaro, who had emerged from Daki's back. After learning that Gyutaro and Daki shared one body and had to be beheaded simultaneously, Tengen fought Gyutaro while Tanjiro moved to keep Daki occupied.

  • Tengen Uzui cut off Daki's head, but Gyutaro separated from her back, caught her, and put her head back on.
  • Gyutaro and Daki accused Tengen Uzui of attacking unfairly and discussed killing him before moving elsewhere.
  • Tengen Uzui told Tanjiro to leave, but agreed to let him fight Daki after explaining the demons' shared body and simultaneous beheading weakness.
  • Tengen Uzui and Gyutaro began a rapid blade fight, while Tanjiro ran across the rooftops toward Daki.
  • Daki lifted herself onto a rooftop with her sashes, and she and Tanjiro clashed again.

Ch. 333The Battle Begins

Tengen Uzui fought Gyutaro in a fierce clash, rejected Gyutaro’s offer to become a demon, and forced him to retreat and use his Blood Demon Art. The chapter ended as Tengen faced a swarm of dozens or hundreds of blood blades.

  • Tengen Uzui and Gyutaro tested their strength, then exchanged rapid blows with their Nichirin Blades and Blood Scythes.
  • Gyutaro offered Tengen a place among the Upper Ranks if he became a demon, but Tengen refused and called himself the god of festivals.
  • Tengen used Sound Breathing, First Form: Roar, and later cut Gyutaro’s neck before Gyutaro blocked his follow-up strike and withdrew.
  • Gyutaro unleashed Blood Demon Art: Flying Blood Scythe, sending blood blades at Tengen and controlling them after launch.
  • Tengen dodged the first wave, shattered the returning blades, and turned to face a swarm of dozens or hundreds of blood blades.

Ch. 334How Was He Supposed to Fight This?

Tengen Uzui charged through Gyutaro’s blood blades and struck him with a powerful sword technique, cutting deeply into his body and neck. Gyutaro regenerated and unleashed a devastating counterattack, leaving Tengen Uzui facing the challenge of fighting an enemy who could recover from his injuries.

  • Tengen Uzui used Constant Resounding Slashes to block Gyutaro’s blood blades, then charged forward despite the strain on his arms.
  • Gyutaro redirected half of his blood blades behind Tengen Uzui, forcing him to widen his defense and slow his advance.
  • Tengen Uzui endured several cuts as he pressed closer, then leaped above Gyutaro’s Blood Scythes and struck down with his First Form.
  • Tengen Uzui slashed Gyutaro’s neck, but Gyutaro transformed his blood into enormous blades that tore through the street and forced Tengen Uzui to retreat.
  • Tengen Uzui cut through the weakened blood blades and saw that Gyutaro had reattached his severed head.

Ch. 335Waiting for What

Tanjiro used Hinokami Kagura to cut off Daki’s head, but she reattached it and wounded his left shoulder. Unable to use his left hand, Tanjiro raised his blade and prepared to keep fighting as Daki waited for something.

  • Tanjiro switched to Hinokami Kagura and sliced through Daki’s sashes.
  • Tanjiro rushed Daki and cut off her head, then turned to alert Uzui.
  • Daki attacked Tanjiro from behind, piercing his left shoulder before he severed the sash.
  • Daki reattached her head while Tanjiro tried to stop the bleeding and realized his left hand was unusable.
  • Tanjiro faced Daki with his blade in his right hand, and Daki stood still as though waiting for something.

Ch. 336Why

Daki absorbed her separated sashes, transforming her hair white and greatly increasing her strength, then battered the injured Tanjiro through a house. Tanjiro fought his way back to his feet and challenged Daki over why she killed people.

  • Daki merged her clones’ sashes into herself, turning her hair white and intensifying her aura.
  • Tanjiro refused Daki’s demand to surrender, and she attacked him with her sashes.
  • Daki’s blows overwhelmed Tanjiro and sent him crashing through a house, leaving him badly injured among the rubble.
  • Daki taunted Tanjiro and sent another barrage of sashes at him, but he blocked them and leaped back into the street.
  • Tanjiro asked Daki why she killed people and demanded to know what she thought life was.

Ch. 337Out of Nowhere

Tanjiro pushed through his injuries to attack Daki, but her Blood Demon Art overwhelmed him. A sudden gust knocked him clear of her attack, though he collapsed and vomited blood, leaving Daki to prepare to finish him off.

  • Daki dismissed her former human life and argued that becoming a demon had freed her from human suffering.
  • Tanjiro’s pain eased despite his severe wounds, and he charged at Daki as the scar on his forehead began to spread.
  • Daki used Blood Demon Art: Eight-Layered Obi Slash, but Tanjiro deflected the falling obi and rushed through the dust toward her.
  • Daki formed two awls from her obi and launched them at Tanjiro as he pressed forward with Hinokami Kagura: Flame Dance.
  • A fierce gust blew Tanjiro out of the path of an awl, and he fell to the ground, coughing up blood.
  • Daki decided to finish Tanjiro quickly and then go help her brother.

Ch. 338Together

Inosuke and the others arrived to help Tanjiro, who was badly injured and had to be evacuated while the fight against Daki continued. Meanwhile, Teiichi watched the separated battles from a rooftop with Nezuko, who shared her taiyaki with him.

  • Inosuke cut through Daki’s sashes and attacked her, while Zenitsu and the others arrived to support Tanjiro.
  • Hinatsuru examined Tanjiro’s severe injuries and ordered Suma to take him away for treatment.
  • Tanjiro warned the group that Daki and Gyutaro had to be beheaded at the same time and that Daki’s body could still attack after her head was cut off.
  • Makio and Hinatsuru left to check on Tengen, leaving Zenitsu to decide whether to support Inosuke against Daki.
  • Teiichi sensed the two distant battles with Wind Field and shared Nezuko’s taiyaki after she offered it to him.

Ch. 339Poisoned

Tengen Uzui fought Gyutaro’s blood blades while trying to devise a way to kill the separated demons, and realized Gyutaro had poisoned him. He kept fighting despite the poison, while Gyutaro grew frustrated and worried that Ume had not returned.

  • Tengen Uzui considered plans to kill Gyutaro and Daki at the same time, but realized Tanjiro Kamado had already lured Daki away.
  • Tengen Uzui rejected relying on Tanjiro Kamado to coordinate a simultaneous beheading and continued battling Gyutaro’s blood blades.
  • Tengen Uzui noticed numbness from his wounds and realized Gyutaro’s attacks had poisoned him.
  • Gyutaro stopped attacking and demanded to know why Tengen Uzui was still standing after being struck by his poisonous slashes.
  • Tengen Uzui claimed his experience as a ninja let him endure the poison, and Gyutaro worried that Ume had run into trouble.

Ch. 340Angel and devil

Inosuke attacked Daki but was repeatedly driven back by her sashes, and after finally cutting off her head, he was pierced and left hanging in the air. Teiichi prepared to intervene as Zenitsu struggled to decide whether to save his teammate.

  • Inosuke charged Daki, but her sashes blocked his attacks and forced him to retreat.
  • Daki sent a cone of sashes burrowing through the roof and then struck Inosuke from behind, blasting him onto another rooftop.
  • Inosuke charged Daki again and managed to cut off her head, but a sash pierced his abdomen and another carried her severed head toward her neck.
  • Zenitsu watched Inosuke hang motionless from a sash while Teiichi worried that the battle was diverging from what he remembered.
  • Nezuko asked Teiichi whether Inosuke would be okay, and Teiichi reassured her before preparing to act.
  • Zenitsu imagined an angel and a devil arguing over whether he should save Inosuke.
