Ye Mo stood at the drainage outlet, the red light on the mechanical spider still flashing in his palm. He had just pulled out the chip when gunfire erupted in his ears. Chaos reigned outside; armored vehicles were being chased and attacked by modified drones, the flashes of fire making the drainage outlet flicker.

Just as he was about to leave, the ground above his head collapsed with a loud bang.

A chunk of concrete crashed at his feet, splattering his face with debris. He looked up to see a giant green foot descending from the sky, stomping right through the ceiling and shaking the entire building. The foot was bigger than a truck wheel, and when it landed, the ground cracked open like a spiderweb, sending three armored vehicles sprawling over.

Immediately afterwards, a huge creature jumped down.

Standing five meters tall, its skin was like a cracked riverbed, veins bulging, and muscles piled up like small mountains. Its head was tilted to the side, its eyes were bloodshot, and its mouth stretched to its ears, revealing a set of saw-like teeth. After landing, it raised its head and roared, the sound wave overturning half a wall.

Ye Mo's mind went blank for a moment.

This thing isn't as simple as the documents describe. He'd seen photos of it in the S. H. I. E. L. D. files and knew it was called Abomination, a monster created by Ross Naruto Bronsky. But seeing a photo is one thing; witnessing it smash through a floorboards with your own eyes is quite another.

He immediately activated his Steel Bone Body, his skin turning metallic gray, and simultaneously deployed Force Field Shield. The double defense had barely been set up when Abomination raised his hand and slapped him.

The blast wave hit him, Ye Mo rolled to the side to dodge, but the edge of his shield still grazed him. He crashed into the rubble like a cannonball, his back slamming hard against the steel bars. He groaned, his mouth tasted bitter, and he almost vomited.

That force is simply beyond what a human could withstand.

He pushed himself up from the ground, and a "ding" sounded in his head.

[High concentration of gamma energy fluctuations detected; energy operation accelerated in the 11th layer of the Gene Spiral Tower]

The system notification had barely faded when a data stream flashed before his eyes—a new ability was being generated, but it wasn't unlocked yet. Now wasn't the time to wait for the surprise; he had to survive the next second.

The Abomination has already surged forward.

Unlike the Hulk, it didn't charge around recklessly; instead, it displayed some tactical awareness. It kicked a steel beam away, sending it spinning towards Ye Mo, forcing him to take the hit head-on. The shield pressed against it, and a crack appeared with a snap.

Ye Mo gritted his teeth, flipped his hand, pulled out the last jammer, and tossed it aside. The device landed, smoking and emitting a high-frequency noise. Abomination's ears twitched, and he turned to look at the source of the sound.

Chance!

Ye Mo activated his Wall Phasing Technique, his body sinking into the wall. A few seconds later, he poked his head out from the other side, quickly scanning the battlefield. The military was also in a panic; the squad that had been surrounding him all ceased fire, and some began to retreat. Several soldiers shouted at the command vehicle, but the radio was full of static.

Thaddeus Ross is really desperate; he's even willing to release something like this.

He moved close to the wall, trying to find cover. But the Abomination was too fierce, leaping more than ten meters at a time, its landing shaking the entire base. It grabbed an overturned armored vehicle and slammed it to the ground. The vehicle hull exploded, scattering fragments everywhere. One piece grazed Ye Mo's arm, leaving a bloody gash.

He frowned and pressed his hand against the wound, discovering that the shield's energy was only 30% remaining. Those impacts had drained it too much; if this continued, he wouldn't even be able to maintain his Steel Bone State.

We can't afford to fight like this anymore.

He changed his strategy, targeting abandoned areas. Using his Wall Phasing Technique in conjunction with Telepathy warnings, he could predict where the Abomination would land. Every time it jumped, he would disappear into a wall to take a detour, then pop his head out again to distract it when it landed.

Once, he deliberately created an opening, hiding behind a broken wall and pretending to catch his breath. As expected, the Abomination pounced and smashed down, turning the entire wall into dust. But Ye Mo had already slipped past from the side and casually stuck the jammer to its leg.

The jammer activated, and an electric current surged into the Abomination nerve. It twitched, lowered its head to tear, but its movement was a beat too slow.

In that tiny gap, Ye Mo rushed to a collapsed electrical box and pulled out a fragment of Vibranium hidden inside. This thing had previously been used to enhance the shield's conductivity, but now only a piece the size of a fingernail remained, and its energy was almost depleted.

He embedded it into the edge of the shield and recharged it. The shield darkened in color and gained a faint blue glow when it opened. Although it wouldn't last long, it could at least block one more heavy blow.

Abomination tore off the jammer and turned to stare at him.

The two stared at each other across the ruins. Ye Mo's heart raced, and his palms sweated. He knew this guy was irrational, but those red eyes staring at him were like he had identified Ye Mo as his primary target.

It suddenly bent down, picked up a broken piece of cement pillar, and hurled it like a javelin.

Ye Mo had no time to dodge and could only raise his shield to its maximum. The concrete pillar slammed into him, the shield making a screeching sound as cracks spread instantly. He was sent flying, tumbling twice in the air before crashing into a pile of rubble.

The bones felt like they were falling apart.

He coughed a few times while lying on the ground, tasting the metallic flavor of blood. His shield retracted into his body, and his energy bar was almost empty. Steel Bone State also began to become unstable, with the metallic sheen on his skin flickering.

That's it, I'm really going to die here now.

He struggled to lift his head and saw the Abomination approaching step by step. Each step shook the ground, and pebbles bounced. It growled, its fists clenched so tightly they cracked, clearly preparing to deliver the final blow.

Just then, another sound rang in my mind.

[Gene Spiral Tower Level 11 unlocked successfully, new ability: Synergistic Resonance Perception) ]

The message flashed by, and before I could even look at it closely, the roar of engines came from afar.

A triangular aircraft ripped through the night sky, its exhaust trail leaving a long streak. The person in the cockpit removed their helmet, revealing Tony's face. Holding an external controller, he cursed as he flew, "Hey bro, can you stop getting yourself into Extremis every time?"

Almost simultaneously, another signal entered the mental channel.

Emma Frost's voice appeared directly in his mind: [Hold on, we'll be there in three minutes.]

Ye Mo grinned and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.

Well, you arrived on time.

He pushed himself up and reactivated his Steel Bone Body. Although his shield was out of energy, he had other tricks up his sleeve. He could still use his Wall Phasing Technique, and his Telepathy was still intact. As long as he didn't confront them head-on, he could stall until they landed.

The Abomination had already reached them, raising its massive hand to strike.

Ye Mo didn't move, but stared into its eyes and said, "You know what? You indestructible freaks all have one problem."

The Abomination paused for a moment.

"She just loves posing too much."

As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly turned to the side, activated his Wall Phasing Technique, and disappeared into the wall. His giant hand struck empty air, blasting a crater in the ground.

He emerged from the other side, picked up a live circuit board, and flung it at the back of Abomination's neck. The board hit the abomination, a spark flashed, and Abomination twitched.

This attack didn't cause any serious damage, but it was enough to annoy it. It turned around and roared, searching for Ye Mo's location.

Ye Mo leaned against the broken wall, panting, his forehead covered in sweat. He knew he couldn't hold on like this for long, but at least he had bought some time.

Tony's spacecraft has begun its descent, and Emma Frost's Mental Scan is closing in. The situation can be turned around as soon as they land.

He felt around in his pocket and found a small device left. It was a miniature concussion grenade he had made before, which he had kept for emergencies, but now it seemed to come in handy.

He pulled the safety pin and stared at the Abomination's back.

"Come on, you big green hunk, let's keep playing."

The shockwave shot out, tracing an arc, and landed precisely at the Abomination's feet.
