The words " Thunderfall " were still flashing on the screen, but Ye Mo didn't move.
He tapped his fingers three times on the table, then took off his gloves, revealing the charred mark on his right palm. Emma Frost stood beside him, her Mental Network connecting to the outside world for five kilometers. She sensed that Ye Mo's emotions had changed; he was no longer the calm suppressing his anger, but rather like a piece of red-hot iron slowly sinking into water, smoking on the surface and hardening inside.
Tony's voice came through the communicator. "It's as quiet as a library on your end, has everyone gone mute?"
"It hasn't started yet," Ye Mo said. "Let's have a tactical meeting now."
Bruce leaned against the wall, his heart rate monitor showing 82, five points lower than before. He looked up. "Tell me how to play, I'm listening."
Ye Mo brought up the holographic projection, and the Nine Realms Map appeared, with Jotunheim's location glaringly red. He tapped the chip's data stream, and a flash of electricity appeared in his palm. A blue ripple popped out from his fingertip, collided with the projection, and became a constantly pulsating frequency line.
"61.0 Hz," he said. "That's the current energy fluctuation rhythm of the Bifrost. It's decreasing, dropping by 0.1 Hz per minute. When it drops to 59.5 Hz, the structure will become unstable. The bridge will collapse in two hours and thirty-four minutes."
Tony frowned. "You judge things based on this thing?"
"Not only." Ye Mo placed his left hand on the control panel interface, and lightning rushed in along the lines. The projected image flickered and a blurry image appeared— Odin stood on a high platform, raising his hands, and a golden light slowly severed the Bifrost. There was no explosion, no tearing, just like turning off a light.
" Odin sealed the bridge using resonance to sever it," Ye Mo said. "Not by blowing it up, but by sealing it. What we need to do now is replicate that process."
"So you don't want us to take action?" Tony asked.
"You can move," Ye Mo said, looking at him, "But you can only harass from the outside, you can't touch the main control node. Once it explodes, the spatial rift will directly swallow Jotunheim."
Bruce nodded. "I agree. Gamma energy is unstable, and I can't transform for too long, at most fifteen minutes."
"Then let's set it at a three-tiered response." Ye Mo switched interfaces and pulled up the battle plan. "Level one: Tony will use miniature missiles to create interference on the periphery, drawing Loki's attention; Level two: Bruce, stand by. If I fail, you will briefly transform and physically intercept; Level three: I will enter the energy field and inject a reverse command using lightning resonance to shut down the bridge."
Emma Frost spoke up, "I'll be in charge of maintaining constant mental alert, keeping internal communications open, and shielding against magical scans."
Tony stared at the plan for five seconds, then suddenly chuckled, "Your plan sounds rehearsed. Can it really work?"
"It has to be done, whether it's impossible or not," Ye Mo said. "I have no other choice, and neither do you."
"But I need to have a backup plan." Tony tapped the armor plating. "I need to keep some of the firepower modules, just in case things get out of control, I can blow up the door and escape."
"Okay," Ye Mo nodded, "But you're not allowed to attack the core structure. I'll give you the coordinates of the restricted area; if you cross that line, I'll cut off your remote access."
"You're trying to tell me what to do?" Tony raised an eyebrow.
"You're under my command now." Ye Mo looked at him. "You said it yourself."
Tony paused for two seconds, then smiled, "Okay, Mr. X, I'll do as you say. But I'm warning you, don't make me do guard duty."
"No." Ye Mo activated the deployment point. "You'll approach from the west, using three rounds of short pulses to harass and disrupt the rhythm. I'll activate resonance at the forty-seventh second; give me a thirty-second window."
Forty-seven seconds?" Tony shook his head. "You timed it more accurately than a stopwatch?"
"I've tried seven times," Ye Mo said. "Each time, this point is the most stable."
Bruce looked up. "When did you try it?"
"Yesterday," Ye Mo said, stretching his wrist, "In the training area, we simulated node reactions using copper-core boards. The success rate was sixty percent."
"Only 60%?" Tony didn't believe it.
"I'm seventy now," Ye Mo said. "And this time, the chip recognizes me, making frequency synchronization much easier."
Emma Frost looked at the scorch marks on his palm. "Are you sure it won't backfire?"
"I'm not sure," Ye Mo said, "But it's following my rhythm now. As long as I don't lose my way, it won't."
The room quieted down.
Tony looked down to check the armor's status, Bruce closed his eyes to regulate his breathing, Emma Frost's Mental Network slightly expanded, its edges sweeping across the base's outer wall. Ye Mo stood in front of the main control console, his finger sliding across the screen, saving the operational plan into a temporary file and naming it " Operation Thunderfall."
Ten minutes later.
Ye Mo spoke up, "Let's confirm one last time."
He looked at Tony: "You're in charge of perimeter disruption. I'll direct the pace. No crossing the line to attack."
Tony nodded. "Understood."
" Bruce, you stand by. Only transform in emergencies, and the transformation time must be within fifteen minutes."
"No problem." Bruce opened his eyes.
" Emma Frost, maintain the Mental Network coverage. If any magical fluctuations are detected, immediately issue an alert."
"It's already being done," Emma Frost said.
Ye Mo paused for two seconds, then took off his right glove, exposing the scorch marks on his palm to the light. He guided a thin arc of lightning to dance at his fingertips, the blue light flashing in perfect sync with the previous movement.
"I can connect to Thor's frequency," he said. "Not because of luck, but because I've chosen not to back down time and time again. Today is no different."
He looked at the three in turn. " Tony, you don't need to blow everything up to save us; Bruce, you're stronger than the Hulk; Emma Frost, you don't have to bear all the burdens alone."
After saying that, he pressed the console button. "Initiate Level 1 combat readiness protocol in ten minutes."
"Now, everyone make your final preparations."
Tony turned and walked towards the equipment area to begin changing his armor components. Bruce leaned back against the wall, closed his eyes, and regulated his breathing, which gradually became steady. Emma Frost sat quietly, her Mental Network spreading silently, like an invisible membrane covering the entire base.
Ye Mo didn't move.
He lightly touched the screen, locking and encrypting the " Operation Thunderfall " plan, then looked up at the monitoring wall. The four figures were reflected in different screens: Tony was adjusting the thrusters, Bruce was checking the interfaces of his protective suit, Emma Frost's fingertips twitched slightly, maintaining the mental link.
He whispered, "System, record this moment."
There was no sound in my head.
But he knew this was not an excuse to escape, but the beginning of witnessing.
Countdown numbers tick at 61.0Hz.
Two hours and thirty-three minutes.
Ye Mo raised his right hand, and the arc of electricity in his palm surged again. This time, the blue light from the chip flashed in sync with the frequency.
He stared at the light, his gaze fixed on it.
Tony's voice came from behind me. "Doesn't your hand hurt?"
"It hurts," Ye Mo said, "But it's not as bad as being scared."
What are you afraid of?
"I'm afraid that I'll have the opportunity, but I won't take action."
