When Ye Mo released his hand from the Vibranium device, it was already smoking.

He didn't look down, nor did he pick it up. The billboard support at his feet had a crack; the blow had made him lose his balance. But he knew he couldn't stop.

The enemy's command system was disrupted three times, and each time they tried to rebuild it. They were not afraid of death, but they were afraid of not having orders.

Now is the opportunity.

He closed his eyes and withdrew his mental energy. He had been connected to the device for too long, and his brain felt like it was being scraped by a wire. His temples throbbed, and he had a high-frequency buzzing in his ears. He knew this was a sign of overexertion.

But he still needs it.

The 19th floor of the Gene Spiral Tower is still shaking. Regenerative Phasing has just been activated, and the cooldown time is unknown. However, there is still a piece of electrical energy stuck inside—it was absorbed when I touched Klaue's sonic weapon before, but I haven't been able to get it to work.

He now needs to combine it with the Steel Bone Shield.

A system notification sounded in my head, "Unverified capability combination detected, risk level C."

"Shut up," Ye Mo said in a low voice. "This isn't the time for you to recite the menu."

He crossed his arms over his chest, palms pressed against his chest. The conductive structures within his body began to reorganize. His bones hardened, and a metallic gray appeared beneath his skin. This was not a complete Steel Bone Form; it was merely using its pathways as electrical wires.

Then he quoted.

That wisp of high-frequency electrical vibration traveled up the spine, to the bifurcation of the shoulder joint, and then rushed into the meridians of the arm. The fingertips began to feel numb.

He suddenly pulled his arms open.

"Smack!"

A dark blue arc of electricity burst from his palm, tearing through the air and heading straight for a group of Chitauri heavy infantrymen who were setting up their artillery thirty meters away.

The electric arc landed, but it didn't explode.

Instead, it burrowed into the ground, spreading along the damaged cable network, and instantly penetrated the power compartments of three assault vehicles.

All three cars burst into flames simultaneously, sending fireballs soaring into the air.

Before the soldiers could react, their bodies began to convulse. The internal circuitry of their armor had melted and was stuck to their flesh. When someone tried to remove their gear, smoke rose from the slightest touch.

Ye Mo opened his eyes.

it works.

This lightning is different. Ordinary lightning only strikes the surface, but this lightning has an oscillating frequency that can penetrate deep and burn nerve connections.

He immediately adjusted the output rhythm. The Regenerative Phasing pulse sensation was added, causing the current to push forward in segments, steadily advancing like a heartbeat.

He raised his hand, aiming at another assembly area.

Push both palms forward.

This time it was a columnar stream of lightning, as thick as a fire hose, purple-blue with flashes of white light, that crashed into the center of the enemy ranks.

Five black-armored warriors instantly vaporized. The rest collapsed, some kneeling on the ground screaming, others simply slumped down. Their helmets cracked, revealing their eyes darting around uncontrollably, their muscles trembling.

Ye Mo took a breath.

This was too much of a drain on my body. My left arm started cramping, and my Regeneration abilities kicked in automatically, slowly closing the skin lacerations, but not as quickly as they had been drained.

He ignored it and continued to lock onto the target.

The Telepathy scan revealed three energy nodes: a maintenance vehicle recharging the aircraft, a technician carrying a communications bag crouching in the rubble connecting wires, and a tall man standing on a ruined building, holding a baton.

None of them were ordinary soldiers.

He drew lines in his mind, connecting three points to form a triangle.

The first lightning bolt was thinner, as fast as a needle, and traveled across half the street, hitting the fuel tank of the repair truck squarely. The truck exploded, flames carrying away the parts, and two nearby aircraft were also ignited.

The second lightning bolt took a detour. He cut off the current midway, causing the arc to jump onto the lamppost, conduct through the metal, bypass the manhole cover, and strike the technician's buttocks from below. The man was sent flying and fell motionless.

The third one is the most ruthless.

He pushed off with both feet and leaped from the billboard onto the exterior wall of the adjacent shopping mall. He took two steps up the broken glass, raised his right hand high, palm facing upwards.

Thunderclouds seemed to have heard the summons.

A dark cloud descended, with swirling air currents appearing at its center.

He let out a low growl and channeled all his electrical energy into his right arm.

"Boom!!!"

A terrifyingly thick bolt of purple-blue lightning struck down, hitting the guy holding the baton squarely.

The lightning didn't just hit one person. After landing, it exploded into a spiderweb pattern, sweeping across the entire block. The ground cracked, cement chunks flew everywhere, and all seven combat units short-circuited. The tall guy was still moving at the end, one hand raised as if to shout something, but when he opened his mouth, his tongue was charred.

Ye Mo landed back on the ground and knelt down on one knee.

His knee smashed a floor tile.

He braced himself on the ground with his left hand, his right hand hanging down, and electric currents flickered at his fingertips. His breathing was heavy, and his chest heaved so rapidly it seemed about to burst. Regeneration abilities coursed through his entire body, leaving cracks everywhere, which would then close, only to crack again.

He knew he couldn't stop any longer.

The enemy has begun to scatter. That last wave made them realize this wasn't a normal attack. This mine can find its targets, it can take detours, and it can specifically target key points.

He looked up into the distance.

A group of Chitauri soldiers who had been pushing a heavy concussion cannon have stopped. They looked this way, some retreating, others turning and running away.

A small squad was about to charge, but suddenly stopped halfway. The three on the left went east, the two on the right went west, and the one in the middle froze, unsure of who to follow.

Ye Mo's lips twitched slightly.

He stood up.

His black clothes were torn in several places, his work pants were worn at the knees, and his silver-rimmed glasses were askew, but he was still standing.

He raised his right hand, his five fingers spread.

The lightning gathered in his palm, less violent than before, and instead more stable and finer.

He no longer pursued scope.

Start targeting and eliminating enemies.

The man carrying the Rocket had just raised his shoulder when a thin mine shot through him, and his arm exploded.

A sniper hiding behind a car had just lit up his scope when a grenade went into the exhaust pipe, exploded under the seat, and sent him flying two meters into the air.

The third one, who looked like a minor leader, was directing the retreat with hand gestures. The moment Ye Mo raised his hand, a bolt of lightning struck his wrist. The bone shattered, the baton fell to the ground, and he rolled on the ground clutching his hand.

Every shot was precise.

Every single moment is precious.

He was like a hunter standing on high ground, unhurried and calm, taking them one by one.

In the distance, amidst the ruins, several black-armored warriors huddled together, seemingly protecting an important figure. They held up their shields, forming a defensive formation.

Ye Mo stared at them.

He took a deep breath and channeled the last bit of his mental energy into the bottom layer of the Gene Spiral Tower. There, a trace of the Shadowcat's ability fluctuations still remained. Although it couldn't Wall Phasing, it could provide a momentary sense of penetration.

He added that rhythm to the lightning.

Bring your hands together in prayer position, then suddenly separate them.

A very thin thread of lightning shot out, almost invisible. It disappeared halfway through its flight, then emerged from the ground a second later, disappearing directly beneath the feet of the group of people.

The shield is useless.

Ray pierced through from the bottom, climbing up the metal leg frame, instantly piercing the backs of the three men. The remaining two tried to escape, but Ray split, each thread chasing after the other and striking them both on the back of the neck.

The person being protected finally revealed himself. He was wearing advanced combat gear and had a command insignia on his chest. He tried to crawl away, but as soon as he moved, a bolt of Thunderfall in front of him, sending up a cloud of ash.

He looked up in Ye Mo's direction.

Ye Mo was also looking at him.

The two were more than a hundred meters apart.

Ye Mo raised his hand, palm facing him.

The man suddenly raised his hand, neither to attack nor to surrender.

It's a salute.

Then he closed his eyes and waited for the Thunderfall.

Ye Mo didn't keep him waiting too long.

One fatal blow.

He lowered his hand, his breathing becoming heavier.

The surroundings became quiet.

There were no new rallying cries, no orders to charge. The remaining enemies either remained hidden or quietly retreated. Aircraft dared not take off, and assault vehicles shut down.

He did it.

It's not about teamwork or tactical planning.

He alone, using his body as a conductor, pieced together several deficient abilities into a deadly move, carving out a path to victory.

He stood in the middle of the ruins, his clothes tattered, his face covered in blood, and one of his glasses cracked.

But he was still standing.

Electricity danced on his fingertips, like a switch that wasn't turned off.

He knew he could do it again.

As long as the enemy dares to move.
