• Lili reassured the people in the prayer hall and contained cursed gray mist after the hall’s defenses failed, but the building collapsed around them.
• As Lili struggled through the rubble, she remembered that Kaka and she had overthrown the Emperor, only to learn that the Emperor had borne the world’s curses and her death had released them.
• Lili began mutating under the curse, but purple light appeared as cracks split the sky and a small figure stepped through.
• The purple girl said, “Let there be light,” and purple flames burned away the gray mist, revealing a clear blue sky.

Shion entered the Calamity Curse Realm and discovered that its people and apparent survivors were bound up in the realm’s living curses. After the old man led her to the prayer hall, she annihilated everyone there and revealed that he was a remnant created by the Calamity Beast’s curse, then began cleansing the world with lightning.

• Shion examined the Calamity Curse Realm’s concentrated tainted mana, destroyed a worm-infested Grief Seed, and found that the curses were necessary for the tainted mana to exist.
• Shion expanded her magical perception with Mujin’s Tears and unleashed a vast storm of purple lightning to burn away the curses and worms.
