Organ Implantation and Limb Reconstruction Surgery (1/3)
Walk through the dense Bronze Tree, ignoring the curious bronze spiders perched on them.
The Kingfisher nervously followed Hanging Silk Lady to the very core of Bronze Island, where it saw the towering Bronze Divine Tree, distinctly different from the other Bronze Tree.
"Hiss.
It seems they sensed the arrival of Hanging Silk Lady in advance.
A huge bronze serpent slowly descended from the tree, staring at the Kingfisher with cold, lifeless eyes.
This bronze snake is made up of hundreds of bronze bone segments strung together.
Between each bronze joint, there is also a bronze ball bearing that acts as a pulley.
Therefore, it not only lacks any mechanical stiffness, but also possesses a dynamism that ordinary Bronze Beast do not have.
Unfortunately, Hanging Silk Lady clearly didn't like this bronze snake very much.
"Get that skeleton out here! I need him to save people!"
Before Hanging Silk Lady could finish speaking, a crystal-clear skeleton emerged from behind the Bronze Tree.
"I've said it so many times, I'm not called a skeleton--"
"Call me Snake Bone or Lingguzi, but I'm not called Skeleton."
With a helpless sigh, Lingguzi turned her gaze to the Kingfisher.
Or more precisely, Lingguzi's gaze lingered on the female Mountain Folk.
It was clearly just an empty skeleton.
But the Kingfisher seemed to see a human-like expression of furrowed brows on that Lingguzi face.
"Multiple wounds on his body, seemingly torn apart by sharp claws--"
"His lungs were completely ruptured; it's even worse than drowning."
"And she's missing a few knuckles; they must have been bitten to pieces by something."
Lingguzi Cuo sighed, having discerned Qinghe's symptoms at a glance.
"If you hadn't been using your Divine Power to prolong her life, she wouldn't have been able to hold on until now."
After saying this, Lingguzi turned to look at the bronze snake on the tree and gave it a very serious warning.
"Xiaoqing, bring me all my surgical instruments, and remember to sterilize them beforehand."
Then, Lingguzi Zi walked up to Qinghe, completely ignoring the Kingfisher's tense expression.
"Mother spider, I need sutures made of fibroin spider silk."
"It will take a lot of sutures to stitch up her wound, and you don't have much left of the ones you gave me last time."
With a slight frown, Hanging Silk Lady, though very unwilling, still cooperated fully and began spinning silk.
"You sneaked out of Yunmeng Marsh again?"
"I've told you so many times, don't go and try to save those animals."
"The Principle of the jungle is survival of the fittest; doing this will only bring you trouble."
They completely disregarded Hanging Silk Lady's criticism.
Lingguzi acted as if he hadn't heard anything, and simply began to examine Qinghe's injuries in an orderly manner.
A moment later, on the makeshift operating table set up by Lingguzi.
The naked Qinghe lay quietly, its bloodied and mangled body barely recognizable as human.
As for Lingguzi?
Its current appearance is even more bizarre.
To facilitate his surgery, Lingguzi had four additional bronze "arms" attached to his body.
The fingers on these four "arms" are not normal human fingers.
Instead, they are blades, scissors, forceps, tweezers, retractors, measuring rulers, syringes, and dilators specifically designed for surgery.
"Can this really save lives?"
They watched helplessly as Lingguzi began the surgery while simultaneously transfusing blood into Qinghe.
Having never seen such a rescue method before, the Kingfisher finally couldn't help but ask its own question.
The kingfisher removed and cleaned the discarded and useless organs and bones, and then simply and crudely stitched up the wound with needle and thread. When the surgery was halfway through, the Kingfisher even saw Lingguzi replace the original biological organs and bones of the Qinghe with some bronze artifacts.
Regardless of the final outcome of the surgery.
Just watching this process is enough to send chills down your spine.
In the hands of that Lingguzi, life is not life at all, but a machine that can be assembled at will.
"Don't worry, it has performed similar surgeries countless times already."
"Don't let his unattractive appearance fool you; his personality is also quite unlikable."
"But the Prophet is always the most enthusiastic and earnest when he preaches, especially when explaining anatomy and medicine."
Silently swallowing the word "dissection," Hanging Silk Lady clearly had complete confidence in Lingguzi.
"Furthermore, Lingguzi's skills in Pill Formula are also outstanding."
"Don't be fooled by how bloody the treatment process is; when combined with the therapeutic effects of the elixir, it can absolutely eradicate disease and injury."
The Kingfisher blinked doubtfully, then realized it was certain it had indeed heard the word "dissection".
However, as Qinghe gradually regained a faint breath under Lingguzi's treatment.
The Kingfisher then put all its worries aside.
No matter how bloody this treatment may seem, its effectiveness speaks for itself.
Saving someone from the brink of death means that all other costs can be considered later.
Besides, isn't it just about implanting some bronze organs into the body?
Although the Kingfisher had never seen an artificial bronze lung, she was familiar with the concepts of prosthetics and implants.
The witch doctors of the Guifang Kingdom were once very skilled in similar techniques, Lingguzi now has a resemblance to those witch doctors.
"Who is it? I don't think I've ever seen it before?"
While Kingfisher wasn't entirely familiar with all the Ghost God and deities of Yunmeng Marsh, he knew their names and abilities to varying degrees.
However, no matter how thoroughly the Kingfisher searched through all the memories in its mind, it still couldn't find a single person who matched Lingguzi.
"It?"
With a strange expression, Hanging Silk Lady glanced at the Kingfisher and said in a low voice.
"Just as it said itself, you can call it Snake Bone, or you can call it Lingguzi."
"Snake Bone was the name I originally gave it, and Lingguzi was the name it gave itself after listening to the prophet's sermon."
"Moreover, it is neither a spirit nor Ghost God of Yunmeng Marsh, nor even of the Hundred Lands Mountain Range."
"To be honest, I'm not even sure if it's a spirit or a living being—"
?
Seeing the Kingfisher's bewildered expression, Hanging Silk Lady continued to explain.
"The skeleton was originally a skeletal form brought back by the prophet, but it suddenly came back to life six months ago."
"All I know is that it may have come from the Guifang Kingdom and is related to the Roaring Heaven Clan of that time—most likely a priest of the Guifang Kingdom."
"Of course, the skeleton has absolutely no connection to that priest anymore."
"It's now just a skeleton on this Bronze Island, a living skull that loves to study medicine."
