Arrival in Pewter City and Preparations for the Gym Battle

"Phew..." Tetsuya let out a breath.

He had just finished a heartwarming movie, and he was feeling a little upset.

Combusken had been unable to watch halfway through and had recalled itself into its Poke Ball to rest.

He checked the navigation timer. There were less than twenty minutes left.

Tetsuya canceled the automatic navigation and sped up.

The Pidgeot in the sky lazily flapped its wings and followed.

But he could only think about a place like that for now. Setting aside whether he could even get close with the tribe's strength, the League had probably discovered and sealed it off long ago. There was no way he could get in.

Pewter City was also famous for its space technology. The Kanto Region's only museum, the Pewter City Science Museum, contained records of Pewter City's past achievements in spaceflight.

However, as the economic center shifted and Mossdeep City in the Hoenn Region began pursuing related development, Pewter City gradually abandoned its research into space technology.

By now, only the museum still recorded Pewter City's former glory in spaceflight.

After finishing lunch, Tetsuya walked along the streets of Pewter City and looked around. The buildings were all dark gray.

Compared with Viridian City, the people here were younger and more energetic.

Tetsuya had many goals for this journey, with his grand plan to make money naturally being the first.

He also planned to begin challenging Gyms, catch Pokemon to complete his Main Team, and participate in the Regional Conference.

In addition to Pokemon level requirements, Quasi-Elite Four Trainers also had to have placed in the top four of a Regional Conference.

As for Champions, they needed at least six Elite Four Level Pokemon to pass the certification, though there were no requirements for Conference results.

Tetsuya was not very clear on the ranks above that. Presumably, they were simpler instead.

Higher-ranked Trainers also received different benefits and found it easier to obtain positions in the League.

Therefore, participating in Gym Battles and Regional Conferences was unavoidable.

The second reason was to obtain investment.

Regional Conferences were actually stages for Trainers who were not descendants of Great Families to showcase themselves.

Every year, Trainers earned investments from others through their performances on this stage, making their paths as Trainers smoother.

The same was naturally true for Tetsuya, though according to his plan, his main focus would be the Johto League Conference two years from now.
