"Want to eat fish?"
Cynthia said with a smile, casually tossing out a Poke Ball. "Lucario, go catch a few fish. We'll grill them."
"Luca."
The steady blue dog nodded silently, then dove straight into the river and vanished beneath the surface.
There were extremely rare ordinary creatures in the Pokemon World, but they were basically never seen in the wild. They could only be found at certain research bases or specialized high-end breeding grounds.
What surprised Tetsuya was this:
Although there were no Pokemon on Mew's island, there were quite a lot of ordinary creatures.
Besides the large and small fish in the river before them, there were many birds, insects, and land animals.
Even setting Mew aside—
The ecosystem and environment formed by these creatures alone were enough to drive countless researchers mad—this was all glittering money and prestige.
Bang—
A water jet exploded from the middle of the river.
Then came a second, and a third.
Along with the bursting water jets, lively big fish flew out of the water and landed with astonishing precision on the ground in front of Cynthia.
In the blink of an eye—
Dozens of fish of different species had piled into a small mound.
"Luca."
Lucario calmly walked ashore and gave his body a slight shake, sending the water droplets clinging to his fur streaming down.
Using a Champion Level Fighting-type Pokemon to catch fish was simply that easy and pleasant.
Let alone ordinary fish.
Even Gyarados would end up much the same way, as long as it was not above Elite Four Level.
"Thank you, Lucario. Come eat with us later."
Cynthia praised her partner with a beaming smile.
"Mew."
On the other side, Mew was already lying atop the fish pile with its mouth stretched into an irrepressible grin.
