Evolve, Pidgeot!

Before long, the other two Butterfree returned.

With his sharp eyesight, Tetsuya spotted the Butterfree returning to their nest from afar. He quietly gave Pidgeotto an instruction, then slowly began to retreat.

Pidgeotto continuously flapped its wings in midair, and the wind grew stronger and stronger.

Tetsuya's eyes flashed. That was the Energy Fluctuation of Confusion. This Butterfree really had mastered Confusion.

There was no time to be happy about it. Tetsuya quickly commanded Pidgeotto, "Use Quick Attack and rush in. Watch out for its powder."

Pidgeotto crashed toward Butterfree with a faint gleam around its body. Naturally, Butterfree would not just sit there and await its doom.

Even now, it still found the situation baffling. A human had suddenly brought a Pidgeotto to ambush its group, and it had suffered severe injuries as a result.

But that had nothing to do with battle. Driven by its wild instincts, Butterfree shook out a cloud of purple powder toward Pidgeotto while struggling to retreat.

Pidgeotto traced an arc through the air, using the wind to blow away and evade the Poison Powder before slamming directly into Butterfree.

"Wiii~" Butterfree cried out in agony, but it did not give up struggling.

The two antennae atop Butterfree's head shone with bright purple light, which wrapped around Pidgeotto. It was the move Confusion.

Pidgeotto felt its body tighten, leaving it somewhat unable to move.

"Spin your body with all your strength to break free, then use Wing Attack."

Tetsuya remained completely calm as he directed Pidgeotto's next attack.

Butterfree's control through Confusion was merely a dying struggle. Its strength could only hold Pidgeotto for a brief moment.

The moment Pidgeotto exerted force and began spinning its body, Butterfree could no longer hold it.

After breaking free from Confusion, Pidgeotto swung its White Light-glowing wings directly into Butterfree's body.
