A standalone post asking for monthly votes-aiming for first place in February!
Before I begin, I'd like to say that this is the first time I've ever written a chapter specifically for ranking purposes.
I've always been pretty laid-back; I only occasionally think of it and then give a shout-out at the end of a chapter:
Gentlemen, could you spare Extended Net Moon? Have some pity on me, I'm a novelist.
Everyone knows about my laid-back, Buddhist-like Virtue.
A few days ago, Lao Ying told me that he was going to end the series and asked me to compete for the monthly vote ranking.
My first reaction was: This is too much trouble, too tiring. I'm already overwhelmed with writing, and I still have to go to work. I don't want to deal with this.
Later, two things changed my mind. First:
I'm home for Chinese New Year!
Second: This book has achieved such great success that I'm not even sure my next book will reach the same level, even though I've always been trying to take different paths and seek change and innovation.
In short, since this is currently a peak in my writing career, I shouldn't have any regrets.
This book has received all sorts of accolades, but it didn't reach number one on the monthly bestseller list.
Here's a report on the book's performance: 24-hour subscriptions fluctuated between 40,000 and 45,000. The average subscription per day was 87,000. Based on my growth rate, it will easily surpass 90,000 by the end of the month.
Whether it can break 100,000 views during the serialization period is still uncertain, but there is hope.
Such results are extremely rare. It shows that there is a large readership and that people like it very much. I actually have the ability to compete for a spot on the charts.
I was just too laid-back before.
Updates are slow and unreliable.
My goal for this month is to update 300,000 words by the last day of the month.
The Nightwatchers has entered the mid-to-late stage. If you don't compete for the rankings now, who knows what will happen later?
This is the first time I've ever posted a chapter competing for a ranking; I hope everyone will support me.
P. S.: Time to get back to writing. Check back tomorrow! Don't wait!
