Volume Four – The Struggle for Central Plains – concludes here.

Let me report on the results first; the average subscriptions have reached 118,000. Do you remember when we reached 100,000 average subscriptions?

It was March 17th.

As of today, less than two months later, the average daily subscription has increased by 18,000. At this rate, the average daily subscription will definitely reach 120,000 by May 17th.

Exactly two months.

In the chapter with an average of 100,000 subscriptions, I mentioned that this book has maintained a growth rate of about 10,000 subscriptions per month since it was first released.

Even in the final volume, the momentum showed no signs of stopping, and I could only gasp and exclaim: Terrifying!

I've never seen such a surge before; I'm a bit bewildered.

I hope I can see the limits of "The Nightwatchers" in the final volume, and see the average subscription growth slow down, otherwise I'll really be unwilling to end it.

As for follow-up orders, they should be maintained between 63,000 and 67,000.

This is the first time I've ever seen my grades keep improving even as I'm nearing the end of a book's development.

I remember when I was writing "Sister", I was in the "little black room" of the Heavenly Dao for half a year, but the subscription rate didn't drop, and neither did the second generation of demons. It was simply a miracle. I am quite confident in the "stability" aspect.

Then, let me briefly talk about the volume "Contending for the Central Plains". There are many problems. For example, I once wanted to try writing about the supporting characters in the war, but I found that the readers did not like it. However, I was in a dilemma, which led to the readers being very dissatisfied for a period of time.

To be honest, it was an experiment for me. As an author, I should try different writing styles and broaden my writing path. The downside of doing this is that if my writing skills aren't good enough, it's easy to mess up the writing, leading to a vicious cycle and causing a major collapse.

Using a work with the success of "The Nightwatchers" as a starting point seems too bold.

But since I dared to try, I must be confident that I can quickly pull myself back if I go astray. I have that much confidence.

As it turns out, my ability to pull things back was perfectly fine.

The title of the last volume is "Martial God," which I think you can guess.

The word count won't be too high, but it won't be low either; it should be around four million words by the end.

At my update speed, it will only take about three months. Please enjoy it while it lasts and don't criticize! The early and later parts are really incomparable.

In the early stages, you're like a blank sheet of paper, free to write whatever you want. Later on, you'll need to review past settings, content, foreshadowing, and so on as you write.

Missing a chapter means missing out on a lot of money. Why wouldn't I make money if I could? It's just that I can't write it. I'm sure all the wise men out there understand this.

Moreover, I refuse to use low-quality content to make easy money; this was my original intention in creating this book. Therefore, this book only has five volumes.

If I really wanted to keep making money, I could start a new project and write another two or three million words. A peak performance like that would make me a fortune. It's not that I can't, it's that I don't want to.

I need to take a day and a half off to review all the plot holes in this book and fill them all in at the end of the final volume. I really need to take time off, otherwise I won't have time to sort out all these foreshadowing elements.

If nothing unexpected happens, the final volume will have quite a few surprises.

On a side note, "The Nightwatchers" has reached level 6 in popularity index, a groundbreaking work and the second level 6 book on Qidian.

This book has won all the awards it deserves; I'll have no regrets if it gets five stars before it's finished.

Thank you all for your support along the way!

Thank you to all the readers who purchased the official version for your support.

Even if the big shots curse me a thousand times, I will still treat you like my first love.

See you in the next volume!
