The Immovable Wisdom King
The great formation that enveloped the entire Aranta blocked Shenshu's path, stopping him at the foot of the mountain, unable to advance an inch.
Shen Shu raised his fist and struck the golden barrier with a simple and brutal motion. With a "humming" sound, ripples seemed to run across the surface of the golden barrier, spreading upwards and to the left and right.
The headless deity took a step back, unable to break through the barrier.
He remained silent for a few seconds, then, as if enraged, his navel split open, transforming into a gaping maw, and he let out a deafening roar.
"Roar!"
The sound waves echoed across the vast wilderness of the Western Regions, reverberating in the clear blue sky, and traveled for dozens of miles.
The people from the Western Regions living near Aranta all turned to look in the direction of the holy mountain, their faces showing bewilderment and awe.
Months ago, they heard the same roar coming from the holy mountain, and before that, a great sun rose.
The Zen formation effectively blocked Shen Shu's attack, including the sound. The warrior monks in the mountains only felt a deafening roar and dizziness, but did not suffer much damage.
Under normal circumstances, at a short distance, Shen Shu's roar alone would be enough to kill more than half of the monks.
The monks had just recovered from the shock of their Qi and Blood surging when they saw a colossal giant. His chest was as broad as a mountain wall, his body was pitch black, and his twenty-four arms were muscular and layered like the tail feathers of a peacock or the tail of a nine-tailed fox.
Each arm radiated terrifying power, making one wonder if they could shatter the void.
This giant had no head, but a blazing ring of fire burned behind his neck, scorching the air.
Temperatures near Aranta rose rapidly, ushering in early summer.
All the monks who witnessed this image trembled and turned pale. They lost all will to fight, and could barely hold onto their weapons, such as their daggers and copper clubs.
The Vajra form is a symbol of power and majesty; cultivators below the extraordinary level who directly face the Vajra form will almost always lose their fighting ability.
The reason the warrior monks on the mountain were able to hold on was because the meditation formation blocked the "majesty" of the divine image.
"Don't be afraid!"
A middle-aged martial monk of considerable skill surveyed his fellow disciples and said in a deep voice:
"The Zen formation is indestructible; no one can break it, not even this demon."
Upon hearing this, the monk, who was gripped by extreme fear and panic, regained his spirits and his confidence.
There is a saying in Aranya that once a Zen master enters a meditative state, he is impervious to all dharmas and remains as immovable as a mountain.
The highest level of cultivation is the "Immovable Wisdom King Dharma Form".
Zen practice is inherently defensive, and with over four thousand Zen masters forming a Zen array, and three First-Rank Bodhisattvas presiding over it, there is probably no one in the entire Nine Provinces who can break it.
Those of the same rank and at the first grade level certainly don't have this strength, and in an era where super-grade items are rare, who can break through such an astonishing formation?
It is no exaggeration to say that Aranya's Zen formation was the best defense in the Kyushu region at that time.
"Buzz!"
The fist of the divine Dharma form slammed straight into the golden light barrier, causing golden ripples to spread across the barrier, but it remained completely still.
Buzzing.
The twenty-four arms, like the connecting rods of a steam engine or a pile driver, unleashed a torrent of violence with a "bang, bang, bang," leaving afterimages.
The golden barrier, like an inverted bowl, covered the entire city of Aranta. Under the relentless blows of the divine power, golden ripples spread across the surface of this bowl.
Then the ground began to shake, causing even Aranya to sway slightly; it was a true earthquake.
At this frequency and with such continuous output of power, an ordinary superhuman martial artist would be exhausted within a quarter of an hour and would need a short breathing cycle to relieve muscle stress.
But Shen Shu seemed like a perpetual motion machine, relentlessly striking, seemingly never tiring.
Buzzing.
Light fragments fell like rain, and as the attack frequency continued, the golden light barrier began to shake. Gradually, the frequency of the shaking synchronized with the frequency of the punches to a certain extent.
Resonance!
The golden barrier seemed to be crumbling, like a bubble trembling in the wind, ready to collapse at any moment.
The warrior monks of Aranya were horrified to discover that the Zen masters sitting cross-legged outside the temple were trembling violently, as if they were having an epileptic seizure, and seemed about to collapse at any moment. Some even had their flesh split open between their eyebrows, with blood flowing freely.
Of all the Zen masters who entered samadhi, only Guangxian, Liuli, and Jialuoshu remained unmoved; the other Zen masters all exhibited abnormalities, some minor and some severe.
What... what kind of monster is this?!
Such a magnificent formation, combining the power of three first-rank masters and over four thousand Zen masters, couldn't withstand the brute force of a monster with no skill whatsoever?
The low- to mid-level monks, unaware of Shen Shu's identity, felt their hearts slowly sinking into a dark, icy abyss.
"What terrifying, monstrous strength!"
High in the distance, Master Jinlian witnessed Shen Shu's power firsthand and was deeply moved.
"This isn't even the full strength of a half-step Martial God."
Asuro added casually.
"With some crude warriors breaking through the formation and clearing the way, things are so easy," Zhao Shou laughed.
The extraordinary experts each expressed their thoughts, but Sun Xuanji, because the translator monkey was not present, had no right to speak and remained silent.
The extraordinary experts present included Jinlian, Zhao Shou, Sun Xuanji, Asuluo, Li Miaozhen, as well as the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox and the Bear King from the Demon Race.
When will Xu Ningyan reach this level?
Li Miaozhen subconsciously compared Xu Qi'an and Shen Shu.
Zhao Shou laughed:
"Today, Xu Ningyan and Shen Shu will show the Buddhist School what the violence of a warrior truly is."
As soon as he finished speaking, Zhao Shou suddenly yawned, feeling his eyelids as heavy as a thousand pounds, and wishing he could fall asleep immediately.
At this moment, he heard Li Miaozhen mutter:
"Why am I so sleepy?"
The extraordinary beings were startled.
The silver-haired enchantress suddenly turned her head to look at the bear king beside her, and sure enough, she found that its eyes were half open and half closed, as if it were asleep.
"Clap clap clap clap."
Nine tails unfurled simultaneously, lashing the Bear King like whips, giving him a thoughtful "queenly awakening service."
The bear king was in so much pain that DouDou's eyes were about to bulge out, and his sleepiness vanished instantly.
The extraordinary drowsiness of the group also disappeared.
Seeing that Daoist Jinlian and the others were looking at them, the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox explained with a smile:
"Sorry, the Bear King is a heavy sleeper; his innate Divine Ability is to pull all living beings around him into a deep sleep."
"Everyone, please note that if you feel sleepy, immediately wake the Bear King. There shouldn't be any problem."
"This is a huge problem, okay? We almost fell for it just now." Li Miaozhen glanced at the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox, whose beauty even she couldn't match, and silently complained to herself.
Why are all the Demon Race so strange and unreliable? That monkey and that bear are exactly the same. Master Jinlian nodded with a smile, but in his heart he was cursing the Demon Race.
Zhao Shou steadied himself and said loudly:
"No dozing off."
The power of Law Follows Speech law immediately enveloped the area. The Bear King felt as if he had been doused with cold water, shivering and becoming completely sober.
Of course, it can still force itself to fall asleep, but the drowsiness that usually bothers it has disappeared.
"It should last about fifteen minutes." Zhao Shou breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that the backlash from the Law Technique was only minor.
The Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox continued the previous topic:
"Don't be careless. This formation combines the power of Buddhist School Zen master and three Bodhisattvas; it's not something you can easily break."
As if in response to her words, the Gara tree bodhisattva, seated cross-legged in the main hall of Aranya, opened his eyes and looked down.
The divine being was enormous, and the majestic and imposing Alanda resembled a tall mound of earth.
The buildings in the mountains resemble models, and the monks in the mountains resemble ants.
Behind the body of the Bodhisattva Garuda, a figure appears, sitting cross-legged with lowered eyebrows and hands clasped in prayer.
The moment this image appeared, the violently shaking and nearly shattered golden light barrier immediately stabilized.
The raging wind subsided, and the fierce gale and energy it had stirred up were forcibly suppressed!
That wasn't enough; the imposing body of the Gara tree merged into the "Acala Vidyaraja" form.
Then, the Buddha's image, which was sitting cross-legged with lowered brows, began to expand and transform into a giant Buddha hundreds or thousands of meters tall.
Above its head was a golden light barrier.
It held up this great formation.
Buzzing sounds filled the air as Shen Shu's fists pounded the barrier like madmen, causing countless rays of light to fall from it.
But the resonance could not continue. Each time the ripples spread and reached the "Acala image", they were mysteriously smoothed out!
P. S.: I wrote half a chapter at the conference today. I really tried my best, but it's a bit short.
Also, I got to hold my crush's hand! Hahaha, I'm so excited!
