The Buddha Appeared
The entire Demon Suppression Ravine was shaking, as if the earth's crust was shifting and the sky was turning upside down. Crimson, viscous blood flowed from the towering blood walls on both sides, a terrifying and horrifying sight.
When the image of Vairocana Buddha appeared, Xu Qi'an advanced instead of retreating. Was he truly courting death?
Of course not, he wanted to make his injuries worse, ideally to the point of near death.
Only in this way will the damage returned from the shattered jade be effective.
A first-grade martial artist possesses abundant vitality, so one can imagine how terrifying an attack that can threaten the life of such a powerful individual is. It is precisely because of this power that the returning attack can effectively harm a superior-grade martial artist.
This plan was already formulated when attacking Aranta. Xu Qi'an's confidence came from two reasons: first, the Buddha had been asleep for five hundred years and was definitely not at his peak; second, he had worked hard to arrange flowers and had accumulated some spiritual energy within his body.
It was only because of the spiritual essence of the immortal tree, combined with the immense vitality of a first-rank martial artist, that he dared to take the risk.
However, this still cannot guarantee absolute success. After all, the power of the Super Grade is only legendary. Even if Xu Qi'an enters the First Grade, he still cannot predict the ceiling of the Super Grade.
Therefore, it's easy for things to go wrong, and the ending might be that Xu Yinluo leads his extraordinary forces to attack Alanda, but the Buddha intervenes, and Xu Yinluo dies on the spot.
It profoundly illustrates to cultivators in Kyushu what it means to "try and die."
As for why he has been suppressing his Jade Shattering technique after waking up, it is because he needs to assess the situation and use his trump cards in the right place to unleash their true power.
However, it cannot be delayed for too long, because the longer it is delayed, the weaker the power of the jade shattering and returning will be.
The Gara Tree, who had fought Xu Qi'an many times, was the first to react, and then his face turned ugly.
He hadn't forgotten that Xu Qi'an possessed this skill, but he hadn't expected it to be used here.
The Garuda tree is not afraid of powerful enemies, but it fears powerful enemies who are also intelligent.
A crude brute is not scary, but if that brute is cunning, then he is a headache.
The stunningly beautiful Lapis Lazuli Bodhisattva frowned, and the young monk Guangxian's face was ashen. As a top-tier expert, the Buddha was certainly not going to be seriously injured by the "counterattack" of a first-tier martial artist. The problem was that His rhythm of suppressing the divine beings was suddenly interrupted.
From the dark red flesh wall, a large amount of blood gushed out. The flesh wall, which had been frantically squeezing the divine being, was in a brief state of chaos at this moment, just like a person being attacked and temporarily interrupted from what they were doing.
Without needing anyone's prompting, Shen Shu seized the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, abruptly turning around and plunging his hands into the fleshy walls on either side of his head. With a deep, guttural roar, his muscles bulged, brimming with terrifying power.
In the brief moment when the "monster" was in pain, he struggled backward and pulled his head out of the flesh.
The dense lines of blood snapped one after another, like tearing apart strong tendons.
Shen Shu finally reclaimed the head.
He cupped his head in his hands and gently placed it on his skull.
"Don't put the front and back on the wrong side!" Xu Qi'an, who had witnessed this scene with his divine sense, relieved his excitement by making sarcastic remarks.
He knew that a true half-step Martial God had been resurrected.
The flesh and blood of the head and neck wriggled and connected with each other on their own. In the blink of an eye, Shenshu's head overlapped with his body without any scars, as if his head had never left his body for five hundred years.
On his handsome face with prominent brow bones, his tightly closed eyes suddenly snapped open!
The world is in flux, with sudden changes in weather and weather patterns.
Xu Qi'an, Jialuoshu, Liuli, and Guangxian, who were in the Demon-Suppressing Ravine, subconsciously looked up and saw dark clouds pressing down in the sky through the gap in the abyss, with thick clouds forming a vortex.
This exaggerated vortex, possibly exceeding ten miles in diameter, rotated slowly, seemingly inactive, but in reality, it unleashed a terrifying hurricane upon the earth.
Sand, stones, cattle, sheep, people, houses—everything on the earth's surface was swept into the sky.
Only the monks who survived in Arandhari, through their own spiritual cultivation, withstood this force that came from an unknown source.
This is not merely a disorder of the elements of heaven and earth; this is an anomaly of heaven and earth, the end of the world.
Compared to this, the elemental turbulence created by a first-class martial artist is insignificant.
Within a radius of a hundred miles from Arando, all living beings prostrated themselves on the ground, as if facing an abyss.
A sense of dread rose in their hearts, unsure whether it was from seeing the terrifying vortex in the sky or from being suppressed by the aura of a half-step Martial God.
The only ones who didn't prostrate themselves were the extraordinary experts of the Great Feng and the Rain Master Nalan Tianlu, but this was probably their last shred of dignity.
These extraordinary individuals were filled with fear and dread, and a long-forgotten feeling of being nothing more than ants welled up within them.
"This, this aura."
Li Miaozhen's lips trembled as she said, her voice trembling:
"Is it the Buddha or a deity?"
The nine-tailed celestial fox sat cross-legged, her stunningly beautiful face reflecting a complex mix of sorrow and joy.
"It's Shen Shu, it's Shen Shu! He has finally reformed his physical body."
Since the destruction of the Kingdom of Ten Thousand Demons, she has been determined to break the divine seal, to truly resurrect her father, and to give the Kingdom of Ten Thousand Demons an unyielding pillar to protect the nation.
Five hundred years later, she has done it.
Xu Qi'an succeeded.
The Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox took a deep breath, quickly suppressing her excitement and preventing her emotions from spreading. She returned to her usual composed and ever-smiling self as the Lord of Kingdom of Ten Thousand Demons.
But the hint of joy that appeared in the corners of her eyes and brows was hard to suppress in a short time.
Looking back now, supporting Xu Qi'an's growth and investing in him was the most correct thing she had ever done in five hundred years.
When she heard that Ye Ji was being taken advantage of by a human man every day at the brothel, and that she had secretly fallen in love with him, the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox was filled with murderous intent.
Later, she secretly descended upon Ye Ji, intending to make that man die silently, but the supervisor secretly gave her a warning.
It was during that conversation that she chose to cooperate with the supervisor, secretly plotting and trying to inject leverage into Xu Qi'an.
Sending the divine right arm to his dwelling place is one of the "bets".
"A half-step Martial God, indeed terrifying. It feels like looking directly at a Witch God at close range."
Nalan Tianlu stood with a slightly hunched posture, his white hair and robes billowing wildly in the turbulent air currents. The sandstorm and various flying debris made the distant Aranya indistinct.
The Rain Master could sense an overwhelming power reawakening deep within Aranya.
If Nalan Tianlu could sense it so clearly, how much more so the three Bodhisattvas and Xu Qi'an who were currently in the Demon-Suppressing Ravine.
Inside the mountain, that terrifying aura was rapidly rising, rising endlessly, as if it were gestating a horrific monster.
In order to fight against such a monster, the entire city of Aranya came to life.
Landslides occurred, cliffs cracked, palaces were swallowed by fissures, and forests sank into the ground. In the cracks, tender red flesh writhed, perhaps just a revival, yet it caused a cataclysmic disaster for mortals.
Inside the deep red cave, layers of flesh and blood writhed and twisted, constantly squeezing and devouring Shen Shu.
"Boom!"
Suddenly, the flesh wall not far behind Xu Qi'an exploded, and blood and flesh gushed out exaggeratedly, like minced meat used to make pies, with a huge gash torn open.
Then, with another 'boom,' the energy that tore through the flesh walls crashed into the towering flesh walls on the opposite side.
Such terrifying power! Is this what a half-step Martial God is like? Xu Qi'an's pupils contracted slightly. He had experienced the terror of this mountain of flesh before. The Zhenguo Sword could only leave a drop in the ocean, unable to open up a passage.
Even with all my might, I could only pry the flesh open slightly.
But Shen Shu's simple punch directly opened a passage, blasting "Buddha" apart from flesh and blood.
In the blink of an eye, his flesh walls writhed rapidly, quickly repairing the breach.
Boom! Boom! Boom! The towering flesh walls kept exploding, spraying fleshy bits like a torrential rain, drenching Xu Qi'an and the three Bodhisattvas.
These fleshy parts seemed to possess a life of their own, spontaneously generating blood vessels that attempted to penetrate the skin.
However, their power was too weak to harm a first-rank martial artist. Xu Qi'an casually brushed them away, and they fell to the ground, then merged into the tender red flesh and blood, returning to their original form.
Boom boom boom!
The mountain of flesh deformed continuously due to the explosion, sometimes expanding and sometimes shrinking inward, like a trembling piece of jelly.
It was no longer at ease; it seemed that every moment of suppressing a half-step Martial God was a huge drain on its energy.
Boom!
This explosion was far louder than any before. A colossal figure burst through the flesh, its skin as black as ink, with twelve pairs of overlapping arms. Its features were ugly yet heroic, with a black flame mark between its brows.
The back of his head was engulfed in a blazing ring of fire.
The divine and unique Vajra form.
The moment this Dharma image appeared in the world, the entire world trembled, and the vortex of dark clouds gathering in the sky expanded and spread, creating an apocalyptic scene.
Even the "Buddha" was no exception; endless flesh and blood clung to the divine body, climbing and trying to envelop and devour him.
The divine Vajra form, which was ten, twenty, fifty, and one hundred feet tall, quickly "expanded" to two hundred feet tall, resembling a giant standing tall between heaven and earth.
During the rapid growth process, the twelve pairs of arms either pounded on the mountain of flesh or tore off the flesh and blood stuck to the surface of the body, and actually suppressed the mountain of flesh that resembled Buddha.
But the flesh and blood seemed endless; as he grew taller, the mountain of flesh expanded just as much.
Dark clouds swirled in the sky, like a leak in the heavens. Under the dim light, a giant two hundred feet tall grappled with a twisted and terrifying mountain of flesh.
To Li Miaozhen and the others in the distance, this scene was nothing short of Gods and Devils dance of gods and demons from ancient times, even though they had not experienced that era.
"Shen Shu has regained his true form. We cannot let him leave the Western Regions. We must reseal him." Jialuo Tree said solemnly.
They suddenly felt the pressure.
As things stand, the battle between the Buddha and the deity is unlikely to end anytime soon. However, although the Buddha has accumulated power for five hundred years, he is unable to unleash his nine great forms for certain reasons.
The only usable Great Sun Reincarnation Dharma Form is not at its peak.
The Bodhisattva Guangxian squinted, gazing at the enormous Dharma image and the surging mountain of flesh, and pondered:
"The Buddha needs our strength."
Gara Tree and Liuli exchanged a glance and nodded in tacit agreement.
The white, jade-carved left hand of the Lapis Lazuli Bodhisattva reached into her right sleeve and gently pulled out a slender, jet-black dragon.
The black dragon's tail hooked around a delicate jade pot.
The little dragon bit down on the tiger's mouth of the glass Bodhisattva, greedily swallowing the female Bodhisattva's Essence Blood.
As it swallowed, the black dragon's head turned golden, including its mane.
What is this happening? What is this dragon?
At this moment, Xu Qi'an, who was riding the wind, saw this scene and did not know what they were going to do, but he knew that he could not let the Bodhisattvas continue. He wanted to stop them, but his martial arts sense of danger told him that he could not get close. Once he got close to the mountain of flesh, his life would be in danger.
While he watched, the black dragon had already swallowed the Essence Blood of Guangxian and the Gara tree.
It transformed from a small black dragon into a small golden dragon, as if cast in gold.
As the little golden dragon completed its transformation, the activity level of the surrounding meat mountain suddenly increased, as if it couldn't wait any longer.
The little golden dragon soared and danced, letting out a clear and melodious roar, before plunging headfirst and smashing itself into the mountain of flesh.
Bang!
The golden dragon exploded, turning into countless golden fragments that merged into the crimson mountain of flesh.
Immediately afterwards, the golden fragments spread rapidly, like wildfire, gradually turning the blood-red mountain of flesh golden.
Xu Qi'an, who was in the air, immediately sensed an extremely powerful and yang energy. This flesh mountain, which seemed to be the incarnation of Buddha, was like a volcano at this moment.
The Gara tree, Guangxian, and the Lapis Lazuli Bodhisattva entered into deep meditation, their bodies slowly sinking into the mountain of flesh, as if sinking into a swamp.
The next moment, something astonishing happened.
This terrifying mountain of flesh no longer entangled Shen Shu. Instead, it voluntarily left the half-step Martial God and consciously condensed and wriggled. After a moment, the outline of a large Buddha sitting cross-legged with a flower in hand took shape.
As the outline of this large Buddha was taking shape, the gold paint was applied to its entire body, transforming it into a gleaming golden Buddha statue.
He was hundreds of feet tall, and even when sitting cross-legged, he was level with the gods.
The Buddha statue has no facial features; the whole thing is blurry, and it exudes no emotion or divine thought, as if it were merely a rule of heaven and earth.
The pitch-black Vajra image ceased all movement, silently gazing at the golden Buddha, which was the same height as itself.
In contrast to the Buddha statue, the jet-black Vajra image has wide-open eyes, a violent aura, and is full of a will to fight against heaven and earth.
There seemed to be nothing in the world that could instill fear or apprehension in him, not even the highest-ranking ones.
Like a god of war.
On one side, bathed in Buddhist light, sat a majestic and sacred Buddha, the most holy being in Buddhist School; on the other side was a Vajra, its body entirely black, its muscles bulging, and its appearance somewhat ferocious.
Behind the Buddha, the sky was filled with pale gold clouds, casting a soft light, and the sound of chanting rose from the void, like a paradise on earth.
Behind Shen Shu was a gigantic vortex, like a leak in the sky, and a hazy sandstorm, a scene reminiscent of the end of the world.
The world seemed to have been split in two, clearly divided.
Just like the yin and yang of a tai chi symbol.
The Buddha had truly appeared. At that moment, Xu Qi'an almost blurted out something like, "Excuse me, I've disturbed you."
He squinted, scrutinizing the indistinct outline of the Buddha.
For no apparent reason, I recalled a line from Jian Zheng's book, "How to Advance to Half-Step Martial God":
Transcending the three realms, one exists in the formless realm.
Song Qing's interpretation of the first half of the sentence is: the higher one's cultivation level, the less one has of the seven emotions and six desires.
As his heart pounded with fear, the golden light covering the mountain of flesh began to converge in one place, causing it to emit a dazzling light, like a rising sun.
The Great Sun Reincarnation Dharma Image!
Not again?
Before the sun rose, Xu Qi'an vanished in a flash, leaving only a shadow.
