Nourishing My Dao with Their Resonance
"Ask for gold?" Cai Shen's golden pupils suddenly contracted, and his voice rose slightly.
Qi Yun continued gazing out the window at the boundless Buddhist light that enveloped the sky, his tone calm and unwavering, as if stating something utterly natural. "Why not? Senior, have you forgotten why we came here?"
He turned his head slightly, the cool moonlight illuminating half of his calm face, and a faint flame seemed to flicker deep in his eyes. "Initially, it was to find your true form, to borrow the power of the Imperial Weapon, to explore clues about the [Fruition Status], in order to deal with the pressure from the True Lord Wudao, and to plot the realm of the Great True Person."
"[Fruition Status] is the path, [Golden Core] is also the path."
He paused, his gaze seemingly piercing through the magnificent facade of the sacred realm before him, revealing something deeper. "Overseas Buddhist cultivators have returned, cultivating this world for thirty years, creating this Spirit Mountain Sacred Realm, gathering such a vast Buddhist aura, forging a near-independent [Pure Land]----"
This in itself is a rare and wonderful fortuitous opportunity for me!
"Observe their [methods] to understand my [principles]; borrow their [power] to cultivate my [way]."
Qi Yun turned around to face Cai Kun directly, his eyes gleaming with a sharp light.
Hearing this, how could Cai Kun not understand Qi Yun's plan?
The surprise and doubt in his eyes quickly faded.
Instead, a divine light, a mixture of astonishment and excitement, shone brighter than before. "I understand! You brat—you intend to use the boundless Buddhist energy of this Spirit Mountain Sacred Realm to activate your miraculous abilities, allowing your [Great Radiance Mahasthamaprapta Dharma Body]—to 'seek gold and attain enlightenment' here?!"
The more he talked about it, the more he felt that although the plan was risky, it was also ingenious!
Qi Yun's mysterious and unpredictable "innate divine power"—the Leakless Golden Core Divine Ability —can be refined and absorbed, allowing him to deduce all laws. If supplemented by the unique and vast "environmental resources" of this Spirit Mountain Sacred Realm, using his [Great Radiance Mahasthamaprapta Dharma Body] as a vessel and catalyst, he could seek gold—
Seeing that Cai Shen had already understood, Qi Yun Yun's lips curled into a very faint smile, "Senior understands me."
"But—" After his initial excitement, Cai Shen quickly calmed down, a serious expression appearing on his golden face, and asked the most crucial question.
"Is it feasible? Although I know your innate Divine Ability are extraordinary, and your ability to refine and deduce is almost heaven-defying."
The pursuit of gold is no small matter!
Even if you yourself seek gold, you still need to seek a [Immortal Aspect] or [Fruition Status] as a prelude.
"Now, your [Great Radiance Mahasthamaprapta Dharma Body] has neither the Fruition Status nor the Bodhi Immortal Aspect immortal; it is merely a Dharma Body condensed from Divine Ability powers—can you truly appear here out of thin air and seek gold to attain enlightenment?"
Having spent a long time with Qi Yun, Qi Yun Cai Kun a deep understanding of Qi Yun's [Law Technique Panel], which he described as "innate supernatural Divine Ability," and was well aware of its domineering ability to refine all things and deduce all laws.
He was surprised but not unexpected by this Divine Ability.
After all, during the Great Tang, he had seen even more outrageous talents and supernatural abilities.
But it is precisely because he understands this that he is even more aware that no matter how wonderful the supernatural Divine Ability are, they must still follow the principles of the Great Dao.
Upon hearing this, Qi Yun showed no hesitation or hesitation, his eyes blazing with even stronger light, clearly indicating that he had already considered this matter.
Qi Yun was well aware of the fundamental limitation that Cai Kun had just pointed out: the Dharma Body had no basis for the orthodox "Fruition Status" or "Immortal Aspect."
But this is precisely the key reason why he decided to take this rebellious act in this Spirit Mountain Sacred Realm with the [Great Radiance Mahasthamaprapta Dharma Body]!
He raised his head slightly, as if the light pierced through the roof of the Zen temple, looking directly at the vast and boundless Domain Heaven, flowing with immeasurable Buddhist light.
Unconsciously, my fingertips slowly caressed the air, feeling the warm and mellow Buddhist energy flowing through it, which contained a kind of supreme order.
"I'm going to give it a try—" Qi Yun's voice was calm yet carried an almost inexplicable air of elation.
"With my extraordinary abilities as a basis, if there are sufficient resources for it to refine and deduce—"
Can we push the price upwards and seek gold by going against the grain?
He did not intend to follow the Buddhist Order "Arhat Fruition Status" or "Bodhisattva Immortal Aspect" for this Dharma Body.
That was certainly the orthodox and straightforward path, but it was neither within his reach nor what he desired.
He was going to take a completely different path!
"No longer following the old ways, painstakingly gathering the Samadhi of [Dharma Body], [Immortal Aspect], and [Fruition Status] in order to achieve the perfection of the Golden Core."
Qi Yun's eyes burned with a dark flame, like two inextinguishable flames ignited in the darkness.
"Instead—emulate that supreme truth—[One begets two, two begets three, three begets all things]!"
"This is an adventure," Qi Yun readily admitted, "And even more so, a quest for answers!"
The question was about the limits of my extraordinary abilities, and also about whether, on the path of cultivation, only the path paved by predecessors leads to enlightenment!
His eyes shone brightly as he looked at Cai Kun: "If this method works, it will be an immeasurable and valuable accumulation and verification for my future pursuit of gold."
I will learn another path—a completely new path—based on my own roots, refined by external forces, yet not bound by established forms!
"Not seeking [Fruition Status], not cultivating [Immortal Aspect]—kid, you really dare to dream!" Cai Shen gasped upon hearing this, his golden face filled with shock and disbelief. "Using the Dharma Body as a foundation, reverse-engineering to seek gold?"
Among the most outrageous creators of laws I've encountered during the Great Tang, I doubt many shared your ideas!
This is truly unprecedented, and unlikely to be repeated!
This goes beyond simple audacity.
Rather, it is a direct challenge and inquiry into the fundamental logic of the existing spiritual practice system!
Upon hearing this, Qi Yun smiled calmly, his composure revealing a confidence and domineering spirit emanating from the depths of his Dao heart.
He stood with his hands behind his back before the window where moonlight and Buddha's light intertwined, his figure as upright as a solitary peak, his gaze as clear as a cold pool, yet seemingly containing the power to swallow and exhale the Milky Way.
"Cultivating immortality and seeking the Dao is inherently defying the will of Heaven."
If one always follows in others' footsteps, only daring to tread in the footsteps of those who came before, detouring around high mountains and turning back at deep ravines—
Then what's the point of cultivating truth? What's the point of seeking the Dao?
His voice was not loud, but every word struck like metal striking metal in the silent night. "The road ahead is paved by those who came before."
If our predecessors could do it, why can't we?
"If our predecessors could do it, why can't we?"
Cai Kun repeated the sentence subconsciously, and the golden phantom trembled slightly.
He turned his gaze to the deep blue figure standing at the intersection of light and shadow beside him.
The moonlight outlined Qi Yun's resolute profile, while the Buddha's light illuminated the indomitable fire of his Daoist heart in his eyes, a fire that seemed to burn away all shackles.
In a daze, Cai Shen felt a strange sense of familiarity from this young figure.
He had felt this kind of spirit long, long ago, in the glorious Great Tang, when humanity was at its peak, geniuses rose up everywhere, and countless incredible paths were created and verified!
That belongs to the truly outstanding individuals, to those who are unwilling to accept fate, not bound by tradition, and intend to leave their own unique mark on the path of righteousness—the brilliance of the sages!
Qi Yun, who is currently in the present situation, is still in the early stages of cultivation and faces many difficulties ahead.
But this spirit of "seeking the truth" that dares to question established Dao Path, this domineering spirit and confidence that "if predecessors can do it, so can I"—it is truly rare!
Cai Shen remained silent for a long time. The last trace of doubt and shock on his golden face finally transformed into an almost solemn acceptance and expectation.
"Good!"
He uttered a single word with great force, his voice soft yet carrying immense weight.
"Since you have this heart, this ambition, and even those extraordinary abilities to back it up—I will accompany you on this uncharted path of seeking the Dao!"
Qi Yun turned around and met Cai Kun's gaze; both of them had a resolute look in their eyes.
When one has a grand plan in mind, one can determine the fate of the world; when one's actions are well-ordered, one's conduct will follow a set pattern.
Since that night when he and Cai Kun devised the risky plan of "borrowing a furnace to refine elixirs and seeking gold through the Dharma Body," Qi Yun's actions in the Spirit Mountain Sacred Realm seemed to still follow the duty of a newly converted Buddhist disciple, quietly cultivating himself.
In reality, it conceals hidden schemes and proceeds cautiously step by step.
Holding the pale blue token, he began to wander purposefully through the lower levels of the Spirit Mountain Sacred Realm and some of the accessible middle levels.
Dressed in a deep blue monk's robe, he walked with composure, his gaze gentle and calm, and the clear light behind his head flowed naturally.
If you happen to encounter other Arhat meditating or walking, you can stop and have a brief conversation about your insights into Buddhism. Your words are humble, and you always quote the authentic essence of the "Great Radiance Glazed Treasure Scripture." Coupled with your pure and ancient aura of light, you can often win the other person's favor.
In return, they received some introductions and guidance about various parts of the sacred realm.
To anyone who looked at him, he was a diligent follower of the ancient sect, striving to integrate into the sacred realm.
However, no one could see that deep within Qi Yun's calm eyes, a faint light, imperceptible to ordinary people, quietly extended in all directions.
That is the unique and extremely powerful sensory ability of the [Law Technique Panel].
At this moment, Qi Yun is strolling along a forest path leading to an ancient Buddhist pagoda.
Ancient trees line both sides of the path, their trunks entwined with ancient vines that emit a faint golden glow, and the air is filled with the tranquil scent of sandalwood and the fresh fragrance of plants.
He continued walking, his expression unchanged, but a clear sense of unease was reflected in his mind.
Thirty paces to the left, there stands an ordinary Bodhi tree that would take three people to encircle. Deep within its roots, where they meet the earth's veins, lies an exceptionally concentrated, gentle, and "enlightened" spiritual energy of wood. Over the years, imbued with Buddhist teachings, it has developed a trace of "Zen wood spirituality."
From a crevice in the right-hand mountain wall, the sound of flowing water can be faintly heard, and a stream of clear spring water seeps out, forming a small, shallow pool below. This is a branch of the Water of Eight Merits Vein.

Qi Yun silently memorized this information without making any move. Like a tourist truly attracted by the scenery, he paused for a moment under the Bodhi tree, seemingly feeling the Zen-like essence of the ancient tree; he scooped water from the spring to wash his hands, clasped his hands together, and chanted softly; finally, he walked to the stupa, respectfully circled it three times, and then left.
This is just a short stretch of road on an ordinary day.
In the days that followed, Qi Yun's figure appeared in various parts of the Holy Realm.
All of this was preparation for the upcoming "alchemy" ceremony.
Wandering in sacred realms, carrying the bright moon on one's back, with the universe hidden in one's sleeve.
Qi Yun's gaze remained gentle and peaceful, sweeping over every blade of grass, every tree, every pagoda, and every hall as if he were viewing a magnificent Buddhist kingdom.
Only deep within the Purple Mansion, on that increasingly detailed "resource map," dotted marks lit up like stars, silently pointing to the same goal.
Use their style to cultivate my own way.
