The enormous crater on Sea God Island struck fear into every student who emerged from the shelter.
"How did this happen? Where's Yuhao? Where did he go?"
Wang Dong'er frantically searched the crowd, seemingly hoping to find Huo Yuhao.
Xiao Xiao stood beside her, her eyes constantly searching the crowd for that familiar figure.
"Wang Dong, Yuhao will definitely be all right..."
Xiao Xiao softly comforted Wang Dong'er beside her, but she was also terribly worried.
Back in the shelter, she had already searched everywhere without finding Huo Yuhao.
Seeing Zhou Yi emerging from the shelter ahead, Wang Dong'er hurried over.
"Teacher Zhou! Teacher Zhou, have you seen Huo Yuhao?"
"Huo Yuhao? I haven't seen him. Didn't he enter the shelter?"
Zhou Yi frowned. By rights, as long as Huo Yuhao was inside Shrek Academy, he should have entered a shelter.
A possibility immediately occurred to her, and she quickly told the two anxious girls before her.
"Perhaps a teacher from another class took him into another shelter."
Hearing Zhou Yi's words, Wang Dong'er and Xiao Xiao both breathed sighs of relief. After such a major incident, they simply dared not imagine what might have happened to Huo Yuhao if he really had been outside.
"You two, hurry back to your dorm room first. After something this serious, Shrek won't have a peaceful night tonight."
Zhou Yi adjusted her glasses, her expression troubled. Only after telling the two to go back did she hurry toward the Soul Tool Department.
"A restless night? Xiao Xiao, I keep feeling like I've heard that somewhere before!"
Wang Dong'er rested a hand against her chin, following behind Xiao Xiao in thought.
Xiao Xiao immediately interrupted her thoughts, still anxious. If Teacher Zhou was right, Huo Yuhao should have returned to the dorm room by now.
After such a major incident tonight, that pillar of light shooting into the sky still lingered in her mind even now.
If she could not see Huo Yuhao right away, she would not be able to sleep tonight.
Xiao Xiao simply dragged Wang Dong'er along, walking briskly toward the boys' dormitory.
In the open space in front of the dormitory, countless stones lay scattered haphazardly across the ground, and the plants in the flower beds leaned every which way.
Fallen leaves were strewn everywhere. Shrek Academy was in utter disarray, no longer looking anything like it usually did.
The two hurried anxiously to the dormitory entrance.
Beneath the moonlight, a thin figure stood there looking up at the moon, both hands carrying bulging bags filled with ingredients.
"Yuhao!"
Wang Dong'er shouted.
Teacher Zhou really had not lied to them. Huo Yuhao really must have gone to another shelter.
"Huo Yuhao! Where did you run off to? Do you have any idea..."
Xiao Xiao's brows were tightly knitted, her little lips pouting and her cheeks puffed out. Furious, she raised her little fists and ran toward Huo Yuhao.
Huo Yuhao turned to look at them and shrugged apologetically.
Xiao Xiao showed no mercy. Her delicate fists struck Huo Yuhao's chest again and again, even shaking loose some of the ingredients he was holding.
Gradually, Xiao Xiao's blows grew lighter and lighter. Finally, she buried her entire face in Huo Yuhao's chest, her small body trembling as she found someone to lean on at this moment.
"Do you... do you have any idea... how worried I was about you..."
Crystal tears kept welling from that pretty face, streaming down like kites with snapped strings. Her pitiful appearance tugged at the heart.
Huo Yuhao looked down at Little Potato in his arms, somewhat helpless. He put the ingredients into his storage ring, a brilliant smile appearing on his face as he gently gathered her into his embrace.
Xiao Xiao sobbed in his arms, slowly ceasing to cry, though her little hands only tightened around Huo Yuhao's waist.
"There, there. Aren't I perfectly fine? Next time I go out, I'll definitely tell you. It's just a shame about Sea God Island's beautiful scenery."
Huo Yuhao soothed Xiao Xiao in his arms, gently patting her back, his voice soft, like an old father comforting his precious daughter.
Wang Dong'er was also very worried about Huo Yuhao. Seeing this scene, she really wanted to go over, but she still turned her head away in tsundere fashion, pretending not to care.
"Little Potato, look, aren't I perfectly fine? Stop crying. You've cried yourself into a little tabby cat."
Huo Yuhao reached out to wipe the tears from her cheeks and stroked her head.
"Hmph! How many times have I told you? Don't... call me Little Potato, you big meanie..."
Xiao Xiao stopped crying, a smile slowly emerging on her face. As if taking revenge, she vigorously wiped her snot and tears on Huo Yuhao's clothes. The gesture was utterly adorable.
Xiao Xiao hugged Huo Yuhao, her face filled with a happy smile. It felt wonderful to be able to hold him again!
"All right, Wang Dong, hurry over too. I've saved this side for you."
Huo Yuhao looked at Wang Dong'er nearby and beckoned, urging her to come over.
"Hmph! I'm not coming over! Just keep hugging Xiao Xiao!"
Wang Dong'er turned her head away again in a huff, too tsundere to take a single step.
Wang Dong'er's words made Xiao Xiao blush, but then she saw that tsundere look on Wang Dong'er's face.
She burst out laughing, tightening her arms, her face brimming with happiness.
"Wang Dong, if you don't come over, Yuhao will be all mine tonight!"
"Yuhao, let me tell you. Actually, besides me, the person who worried about you most tonight was Wang Dong..."
Xiao Xiao kept telling Huo Yuhao everything that had happened tonight, describing how anxious Wang Dong had been.
Hearing Xiao Xiao's account, Wang Dong'er was instantly overwhelmed by embarrassment, her pretty face turning as red as a boiling kettle.
She stubbornly insisted, "Xiao Xiao! I won't allow you to slander me like that! When did I ever care about this bastard? If it weren't... if I weren't afraid I'd have to find a new roommate if he died... yes, I just thought it would be a hassle and didn't want to find another roommate. That's all!"
"Oh, yes, yes, yes. You, Wang Dong, just didn't want to change roommates..."
Xiao Xiao made a face at her and stuck out her little tongue, pretending to agree.
"Yuhao, let me tell you, this Wang Dong actually..."
Wang Dong could no longer stand it. She charged straight forward to cover Xiao Xiao's mouth. She could not let her keep talking.
Before she could reach her, an arm pulled her forcefully into an embrace.
Huo Yuhao looked into Wang Dong'er's large eyes. Her long lashes brushed his cheek, whether intentionally or not, tickling him.
"All right, all right, you tsundere. A hug won't cost you a chunk of flesh."
Wang Dong'er's pretty face was scarlet, her ears flushed red. She quickly averted her eyes from Huo Yuhao's gaze and said softly, "F-fine. I'm in a good mood today, so... so I'll let you hug me..."
"If you're that reluctant, I'd better not hug you."
With a mischievous grin, Huo Yuhao pretended to loosen his arm and let Wang Dong'er leave his embrace.
"No!"
Wang Dong'er shouted, her soft little hands wrapping around Huo Yuhao's neck and refusing to let go. Yet she still turned her blushing face stubbornly aside.
"Hahaha, all right, all right, ease up. I wasn't blown to death, but you're going to strangle me instead..."
Huo Yuhao's face turned red as he struggled to speak.
"Ah!..."
Wang Dong'er cried out in surprise and only then loosened her grip.
Huo Yuhao took the opportunity to hold her close. He looked up at the bright moon, then at the blushing Wang Dong'er.
This little girl was just too tsundere.
"Wang Dong, you tsundere, next time I won't let you hug my Yuhao..."
"Since when did Yuhao become yours? Hey?..."
The two kept bickering, their clear voices echoing through the campus, gradually fading into the distance...
Though noisy, this was nice too.
A bright moon overhead, beauties in his arms.
The moon was beautiful tonight!
