Background / History

Baihu attended Jinling Martial University alongside Judge. A photograph preserved their younger selves together, and Hong Gui later described them as having once been romantically involved. Baihu remembered Judge as someone who had vowed to overturn their exploitative world and become a great Resister, only to submit to the power structure he had opposed 621 648.

Years before her introduction, Baihu nearly died while exploring ruins and obtained an incomplete ancient inheritance: the Taibai Slaughter Sword Scripture. Its Heaven Grade cultivation methods enabled her to surpass many older experts and become a Moon Grade investigator at a young age. However, its violent killing intent placed increasing strain on her body and mind 660.

Her inheritance originally extended through Soul Condensation but contained no account of the realm beyond it. She initially understood it as a legacy of the ancient human experts associated with the Boundary; only after meeting Lu Qingxue did she discover its connection to an existing sect in the Crimson Profound World 662 663 697.

Personality

Baihu is outwardly cold, intimidating, and difficult to read. Demon Blade fears her authority, yet her apparent indifference to Judge’s death is not concealed grief: she regards his surrender to power with contempt and explicitly feels neither anger nor sadness at his killing. Her overriding ambition is to become strong enough that the world cannot consume her 621.

Her cynicism does not make her blindly obedient. She challenges the decision to permit the Pan Family’s destruction because feeding humans to Variants could strengthen them beyond control. At the same time, she understands institutional politics well enough to avoid exposing the Li Family’s support for the Resisters merely to claim credit 640 648.

She is curious about exceptional people and enjoys testing strength. Dongfang Yueming’s audacity interests her even when she considers his cultivation ambitions impossible; his resistance to her first attack excites rather than angers her. Her pride also has a practical limit—once she recognizes that he overwhelmingly outmatches her, she immediately attempts to retreat 626 651.

Baihu insists on repaying favors and shares her precious inheritance after Dongfang Yueming saves her life. Her relationship with him develops from suspicion into gratitude and affection, while her rivalry with Hong Gui repeatedly pushes her to seek further breakthroughs 663 681 700 713.

Investigating Judge’s Killer

Baihu initially allows the search for Judge’s killer to lapse, then declines to act on the Myriad Treasures Pavilion’s suspicions about Dongfang Yueming. Her interest becomes personal after she identifies Hong Gui at Demon Capital Martial University and links Dongfang Yueming to the Resisters’ extraction of the killer 621 626 648.

She tracks him to the Cloud Hotel and tests him in combat. He dismantles both her attacks and restrains her when she attempts to escape. Hong Gui’s arrival interrupts the confrontation, and Baihu leaves with wounded pride and heightened curiosity 651.

The Possessed Qinglong and the Ancient Inheritance

While Baihu struggles with the Scripture’s backlash, the entity possessing Qinglong attacks her to consume the origin power of her inheritance. Dongfang Yueming destroys the creature and saves her. In repayment, she reveals the Boundary’s ancient history, recites her cultivation inheritance, and gives him two rare Soul Techniques 659 660 661 662 663.

She subsequently takes refuge with Hong Gui and accompanies Dongfang Yueming to Central Capital and the Demon Capital’s border battlefield 665 666 673.

Reorganizing Great Xia

Dongfang Yueming postpones crossing the Boundary until he can secure Great Xia and strengthen his companions. He places the reorganized Night Watchers under Baihu, while Hong Gui oversees the black market and resource distribution 681.

Unwilling to remain a burden in the Crimson Profound World, Baihu asks him to help her become stronger and initiates their intimate relationship. Their dual cultivation stabilizes her murderous true qi, and she works alongside Hong Gui to restore order across Great Xia 681 682.

The Taibai Sword Sect Inheritance

In the Crimson Profound World, Lu Qingxue recognizes Baihu’s sword intent and claims her inheritance for the Taibai Sword Sect. Baihu refuses to leave Dongfang Yueming, whose assistance has made the sect’s usual backlash treatments unnecessary. Lu Qingxue eventually provides continuation methods and witnesses Baihu form a pure Golden Core 697 698 699 700.

Baihu later enters the sect with Lu Qingxue and receives additional methods, but Song Yu’s harassment leads to an attempted abduction. Dongfang Yueming rescues both women from Huiya. Baihu subsequently remains with him during the sect’s house arrest and continues cultivating despite its leadership’s refusal to hold Song accountable 713 716 719 725 726.

Emperor Realm and Separation

During the final campaign across the Crimson Profound World, Baihu and her companions help eradicate Variants, demonic puppets, and Demon Caves. Dongfang Yueming raises Baihu, Hong Gui, and Lu Qingxue to Emperor Realm Perfection 744.

Before ascending, he reveals his identity as a Quasi-Immortal Emperor and directs them to seek Qin Rushuang, Su Wurao, and his other wives after reaching the Immortal Realm. Baihu remains behind with Hong Gui and Lu Qingxue, determined to ascend and find him 744.
