Are You Talking to Me?
"All right, we'll apologize!"
The young man breathed a sigh of relief. Apologizing was no big deal. They were all from Yang City, and if they offended the head of the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School, he might not be able to do anything to them on the train, but once they got off, they would be in trouble.
He knew how powerful the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School was. Tian Hu was not its only head; there was also Tian Long, who had broken through to three stars quite some time ago.
After Tian Long broke through to three stars, he had scarcely involved himself in running the school.
But whether he managed it or not, he was still the founder of the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School. More importantly, he and Tian Hu were brothers.
By telling them to apologize, Tian Hu had already shown them the greatest possible leniency.
The freckled young woman also stood up, ready to go over and apologize.
"Why should we apologize?" Zhou Hui, however, had no intention of getting up.
"Hmm?" The people from the martial arts school frowned, looking at her with fierce eyes.
Zhou Hui was not intimidated. "Was anything they said false? Besides, I didn't say anything!"
She had been watching Qin Chen the whole time and had not said a word about the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School. Apologizing out of fear would go completely against her principles.
"Hui!" The young man hurried to stop her from saying anything unpleasant.
Zhou Hui ignored him and turned to glance at Qin Chen.
She noticed that Qin Chen had not spoken a word from beginning to end. He had not even turned his head, still gazing calmly out the window, as though immersed in his own world and having heard nothing.
The young man's face darkened when Zhou Hui ignored him. If he had not been fond of her, he would have immediately distanced himself from her.
"Got a temper, haven't you, young lady?" Seeing how firm Zhou Hui was, the faces of the people from the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School turned somewhat cold. "Hope you can keep that up!"
With that, they looked at Qin Chen, who had not turned his head toward them once. "Do you have a temper like hers, too?"
"Are you talking to me?" Qin Chen frowned and slowly turned his head.
He had originally intended to ignore them. One of his plans for this trip to Yang City was to visit the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School, so he would meet them then anyway. He had not expected these people to climb right up his nose and onto his face.
When the people from the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School saw Qin Chen's face, their expressions changed drastically. One of them even lurched sideways, nearly losing his footing.
"We..." The man who had been so arrogant earlier felt his heart tighten.
"What are you doing?"
A train security officer had spotted the group gathered together and sensed that something was wrong. He suddenly approached from a distance.
When the people from the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School saw him coming, they acted as though they had grabbed a lifesaving straw and hurriedly nodded. "We're leaving, right now!"
They did not dare linger for a moment. They hurriedly turned and left, casting a terrified glance at Qin Chen before they went.
Only after seeing them leave did the train security officer turn and walk away.
The young man and the freckled young woman breathed sighs of relief.
"Good thing the security officer came. Otherwise, apologizing in front of everyone would have been so embarrassing!" the young man said, still shaken.
"Yes, yes. But I'm surprised those people from the martial arts school were so afraid of the security officer!" the freckled young woman whispered, glancing at the group from the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School, who had returned to their seats.
The young man smiled. "That's normal. Security officers usually aren't very strong, but they're all government personnel. If those people really disobeyed the officer and he reported them, official experts would definitely arrest them when the train reached the station. The school's business might even be affected!"
The freckled young woman nodded, looking as though she understood.
The young man then looked at Zhou Hui. "You were too impulsive just now."
"Was I wrong?"
Zhou Hui had not thought much of the young man to begin with, and her opinion of him now plummeted.
"That's not what I meant." Seeing that Zhou Hui was unhappy, the young man hurried to explain.
He then looked at Qin Chen, intending to shift all the blame onto him. But Qin Chen turned and gave him a cold stare, instantly making him swallow his words.
Zhou Hui also looked at Qin Chen. She had a feeling that the people from the martial arts school had left in such a panic because of him, not the security officer.
"Hello, my name is Zhou Hui." As if prompted by some unseen force, Zhou Hui introduced herself to Qin Chen.
As soon as she finished speaking, her face flushed bright red. It was so embarrassing.
Qin Chen turned to her. "Hello!"
Zhou Hui breathed a sigh of relief when Qin Chen responded, then immediately worked up the courage to ask, "Can you tell me your name?"
"Qin Chen!"
"Qin Chen, you're Qin Chen?" Zhou Hui stared at him in surprise.
The freckled young woman's eyes also widened. "You really are Qin Chen."
During their days in Rongcheng, they had heard Qin Chen's name far too many times. Whenever people spoke of him, they were full of amazement.
Meanwhile, seeing Zhou Hui take the initiative to speak to Qin Chen, the young man was seething inside.
"You're Qin Chen?" The young man suddenly looked at him, feigning surprise.
"I heard you injured Master Tian just a few days ago. When those people from the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School came over, you didn't seem to recognize them?"
His sarcastic tone made Zhou Hui, sitting across from him, frown deeply.
"I didn't recognize them," Qin Chen said with a nod.
They were just a few apprentices from the school. He had not even remembered what they looked like.
"Heh." The young man chuckled and said nothing more.
He naturally did not believe such nonsense. How could Qin Chen have beaten their school head and not recognized them?
More than ten minutes later, the station announcement sounded. They had finally reached Yang City, and the train slowly decelerated and stopped.
A few minutes later, they all got off the train. The people from the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School got off behind them.
Even without looking back, Qin Chen could feel Tian Hu's murderous gaze.
He walked calmly toward the exit.
Seeing him leave, the young man followed. "Qin Chen, wait!"
He deliberately put extra emphasis on Qin Chen's name when he called it out.
Zhou Hui frowned, but she quickly followed as well, thinking of asking for his contact information.
Seeing both of them follow, the freckled young woman had no choice but to go after them too.
At the very back, the people from the Dragon Tiger Martial Arts School supported Tian Hu and quickened their pace as well.
"Did you make the call?" Tian Hu asked in a low voice.
"I did. Master Long should be at the station exit by now," a disciple said.
The young man stuck close to Qin Chen like a tagalong, and the group soon reached the station exit.
As soon as they came out, they saw a group standing not far away. The man at the front looked very much like Tian Hu.
"Brother!"
Just then, Tian Hu shouted from behind them, "That's him! He's the one who injured me!"
As he shouted, Tian Hu pointed at Qin Chen.
Tian Long fixed his gaze on Qin Chen and walked toward him, step by step. "You're the one who injured Tian Hu?"
The young man who had been following Qin Chen was scared out of his wits. He looked at Qin Chen in horror. How could he dare stay with him now? He kept edging away, terrified of being associated with him.
The freckled young woman looked at Qin Chen as though she had discovered a new world, her eyes filled with curiosity and admiration.
Zhou Hui stared blankly at Qin Chen. She was finally certain that her earlier feeling had been right: the martial arts school disciples had left in a hurry because of Qin Chen, not the security officer.
"I did," Qin Chen said with a nod.
"You've got a lot of nerve. After injuring someone, you still dared to come to Yang City, and even took the same train as Tian Hu!" Tian Long stared coldly at Qin Chen. Even he thought Qin Chen was far too unrestrained.
"I suppose so." Qin Chen nodded again.
Seeing the unconcerned look on Qin Chen's face, Tian Long flew into a rage. He waved his hand. "Seize all of his accomplices."
Only then did he advance on Qin Chen. "Since you're here, you'll spend the next few months lying in bed first!"
Qin Chen watched Tian Long approach without retreating in the slightest.
Just as the two were about to fight, the piercing screech of brakes rang out, followed by an SUV skidding toward them.
