After leaving the starfield that had just witnessed a Dimensional Standoff, Ming Xin and Ying Sha set out once more.
This time, their destination was clearer, yet even more unsettling—the deeper reaches of the Forgotten Corridor, the place known as the "Observer Outpost - Hub."
According to the coordinates transmitted by the Star Tablet, the route twisted and turned, requiring them to pass through several relatively "stable" energy-turbulence belts within the Chaos Nebula.
They also had to avoid several absolute danger zones marked as "Law Void" and "Space-Time Overlap." Even Ming Xin had no choice but to slow down and sense the path ahead with greater caution.
As they ventured deeper into the Chaos Nebula, the surroundings grew increasingly bizarre. Starlight was completely swallowed, leaving only the nebula itself to emit a dim, ever-changing gray-white glow.
These lights did not illuminate anything. Instead, they distorted one's sense of distance and direction.
All kinds of incomprehensible "landscapes" drifted through the void: one region resembled frozen raging waves, formed from translucent, glass-like energy;
another was filled with rotating geometric bodies, their interiors flickering with all manner of mathematical symbols;
and in yet another region, time seemed to flow abnormally. The wreckage of starships and living beings could be seen repeating the instant of destruction at impossibly slow or fast speeds.
"The laws here... are so chaotic that they seem to have been forcibly shattered and randomly pieced back together."
Ying Sha observed through the Shadow Vein and felt waves of discomfort. His Shadow Power was greatly disrupted here, and Ming Xin often had to use Order Dao Rhyme to "smooth out" the path ahead for him.
"The Forgotten Corridor... truly lives up to its name." Ming Xin's gaze remained calm as his Miniature Universe slowly revolved like the most precise compass.
