"What are you doing out here, Your Highness?" Tang Zhuyun asked. "Be careful not to be discovered."
The Prince of Jin felt both happy and melancholy.
To his delight, her chattering little mouth, pouting and spitting, finally made him the target instead of Zong Heng. This also helped Zong Heng understand why the flowers were so red and why he had suddenly become weak.
For Tang Zhuyun, there's nothing a knife can't solve with a man!
What's troubling me is that I'm about to leave. What if Zong Heng gradually gets addicted to being roasted?
It felt like the corner of the wall was a bit unstable.
Zong Heng is clearly a jerk; he gets addicted to being criticized.
Tang Zhuyun didn't think too much about it. After scolding the person, she felt better and went back happily. In a good mood, she prepared some commonly used medicines for Prince of Jin to take with her.
"These are menstrual pain medications," Tang Zhuyun showed each item to Prince of Jin, labeling them with her name. "Take one pill a day before your period starts. After your period starts, depending on the situation, you can take one or two more pills if the pain is severe, but do not exceed six pills a day."
Look how thoughtful she is; she even prepared his woman.
The Prince of Jin looked completely bewildered.
Then Tang Zhuyun asked, "Do you still need the contraceptive? It's newly developed, and I'm not sure about its effectiveness. But getting pregnant before marriage doesn't seem to have a good reputation, so maybe we should bring some?"
The Prince of Prince of Jin gritted his teeth. "I'm going to find someone, not to visit a brothel!"
Xiu'er muttered, "If you want to visit a brothel, you'd better hurry up and go. There's no hope in the capital. Sangsang has already said that no one will serve you on Zhangtai Road, and private brothels are beneath you—they're beneath you!"
The Prince of Jin was in a bad mood today, and he didn't even shy away from mentioning his "nemesis": "Then let Song Jingyang go in my place a few more times."
Xiu'er's eyes widened, she stomped her foot and ran out to warn Song Jingyang.
Prince of Jin then gritted his teeth and asked Tang Zhuyun, "What do you mean by preparing all this?"
Tang Zhuyun: "If the prince went to look for a woman, then..."
"He's a man, not a woman!" the Prince of Jin said viciously.
Then something else stirred in his mind. Was Tang Zhuyun jealous, and was she indirectly expressing her worry and dissatisfaction?
Thinking of this, his expression softened somewhat. "I, this king, never get close to women!"
"Forget about the menstrual cramp medication, but please bring the contraceptive pills, just in case you get poisoned again."
Getting on the pleasure boat is fine; she doesn't plan to use it anyway, so it's fine if it gets dirty. However, having offspring is too troublesome; she can't raise them properly, and she doesn't want to.
Prince of Jin: "What kind of person do you see me as? A fool who can only be schemed against time and time again?"
Tang Zhuyun muttered softly, "Maybe it's because I'm your nemesis. Anyway, every time I run into you, you always end up in a bad situation... Okay, take this with you, just in case!"
She coaxed the contraceptive pills into the pile of pills as if she were coaxing a child.
Who are you kidding?! Even if he was drugged back then, couldn't he just take a cold shower to calm down? Did he have to find a woman?
It's clear they still have the desire and the courage to steal.
The Prince of Jin was so angry that he didn't want to talk to her.
"This is medicine for external injuries... medicine for catching a cold..." Tang Zhuyun rambled on, seemingly genuinely concerned.
The Prince of Jin reconciled with himself.
Forget it, he's a grown man, why should he argue with her? She's just saying one thing and meaning another.
"Your Highness, Zong Heng is here again!" Xiu'er was speechless when she said this.
Tang Zhuyun looked at the completely dark sky outside and strongly suspected that Zong Heng had lost his mind.
Three visits to the Prince's mansion in one day?
He can't sleep unless he suffers a loss? Does he need to be beaten up to sleep peacefully?
The Prince of Jin was also annoyed.
He's leaving tomorrow, and he wanted to have a good talk with Tang Zhuyun today. Zong Heng is such a persistent nuisance, he's asking for trouble!
"What's wrong with him now?" Tang Zhuyun asked. "Is he really coming to keep vigil for the prince and act as a filial son?"
The Prince of Jin sneered: Does he care?
Xiu'er said, "He said he lost a jade pendant at the mourning hall during the day, so he came to look for it. He even brought a dog!"
"He brought a dog?" Tang Zhuyun frowned. "The way he's acting doesn't seem like he's searching for the jade pendant; it looks more like he's searching the prince. Does he have many other people with him?"
"Yes, he brought many guards. He said the jade pendant is very important to him and he must find it."
Tang Zhuyun sneered, "They're trying to ride on our necks."
A moment later, Song Jingyang rushed in and said, "Your Highness, the manor is surrounded by Zong Heng's men. They say they're preventing the person who stole the jade pendant from escaping."
Is this a desperate gamble?
"Does he know the Prince is still alive?" Tang Zhuyun asked in surprise. "How did he know? Could it be because the Prince was eavesdropping today and he noticed?"
The Prince of Jin remained calm. "Even if he knew, he wouldn't dare come openly. He's only using the pretense of the missing jade pendant to bring a dog in. A person who behaves badly gets punished, but a beast behaving badly is somewhat understandable."
Tang Zhuyun immediately understood.
"Does Your Highness mean that the dog will lead Zong Heng to search everywhere?"
The Prince of Jin nodded, a cold smile playing on his lips.
"I'll go out and take a look first." Tang Zhuyun couldn't rely on a "dead person."
We'll think of a solution later; stopping them is the priority.
Prince of Jin, however, grabbed her sleeve, glanced at Linlin playing with Yanran and Jiaojiao on the kang (Jiaojiao brick bed), and said, "Linlin, you take Yanran with you. She's just a dog."
Tang Zhuyun was stunned: Has the Prince of Jin gone mad?
How could two children possibly handle Zong Heng's mad dog? Besides, he actually brought a dog with him today.
Linlin suddenly laughed, "Okay, I'll go! Don't worry, Auntie, I have a plan."
Tang Zhuyun: "What method?"
Did the father and son discuss this beforehand?
No, impossible. Who could have predicted Zong Heng's insane actions?
Unexpectedly, Zong Heng was so willing to go to such lengths and act so decisively and swiftly in order to satisfy his suspicions.
Prince of Jin held onto Tang Zhuyun, preventing her from leaving. Linlin, carrying Jiaojiao and holding Yanran's hand, confidently went out.
Tang Zhuyun: "Wait, you guys..."
"Auntie," Linlin turned around and smiled, "Don't worry."
After the two children left, Tang Zhuyun asked Prince of Jin, "What are you two up to? Tell me quickly, you're driving me crazy!"
The Prince of Jin asked, "What is Linlin holding in her arms?"
"Holding Jiaojiao in your arms?" Tang Zhuyun said.
What is Jiaojiao?
"Jiaojiao is a tiger... Ah? Your Highness, you must be joking! Don't tell me you're using Jiaojiao to scare away vicious dogs. She's barely able to walk; she's still a little tiger cub!"
"That's a tiger, too. Dogs are naturally afraid of tigers," said the Prince of Jin.
"Really?" Tang Zhuyun looked worried. "No, I have to go check on it. I'm worried."
"You should trust Linlin," Prince of Jin said. "Even if things really don't work out, I won't allow Zong Heng to act recklessly. Don't you have even this much faith in me?"
He's still alive and won't let Zong Heng do whatever he wants.
Tang Zhuyun: No, thank you.
