Arc 1The Third Army’s March

Victor takes command of the abandoned Third Supplementary Army, builds it into a fighting force, and uses traps and raids to destroy the Goshawk Tribe and Cors Tribe. After Dragon Spine Pass falls to the Tuwu People, Victor weighs escape routes as the khanate prepares to attack his army.

  • Victor assumes command after Viscount Sutton and the other senior officers abandon camp, then discovers that vital supplies are missing.
  • Victor rejects waiting for orders or reinforcements and leads the under-equipped army toward the Dragonbone Mountains, where it recruits routed soldiers and draws the Tuwu tribes into conflict.
  • Victor’s troops surprise and destroy the Goshawk Tribe while Howard’s forces use traps and guerrilla attacks to exhaust the Cors Tribe.
  • Victor captures the tribes’ livestock, preserves meat for the army, and sends Maddox’s cavalry to finish off the starving Cors Tribe and its survivors.
  • The Golden Horde Khanate summons a Great Abyssal Demonic Dragon, which smashes through Dragon Spine Pass and allows the Tuwu People to invade the city.
  • Victor learns that Dragon Spine Pass has fallen just as the khanate orders the Seventh Tumen to eliminate his army.
  • Victor rejects plans for further glory and tells his officers that survival comes first, then considers retreating west toward the Andorra Peninsula rather than crossing the mountains or eastern empire.

Arc 2The Devil Legion’s March

Victor broke the Tuwu coalition at Heavenly Wolf Canyon through fire, wolves, and a spreading plague, while the survivors blamed their defeat on a curse. He then marched toward the Andorra Peninsula, conscripting Tuwu recruits and attacking tribes as he prepared to force a route through ogre territory.

  • Victor reorganized the Third Supplementary Army and negotiated tribal support, while Jeremiah grew concerned about the Holy Glory Empire’s Third Army and its unknown mission in the Dragonbone Mountains.
  • Victor discovered Wolf Pack Canyon, subdued its wolf king, and used the canyon’s terrain and the Tuwu army’s supply needs to plan an ambush.
  • Victor lured the Tuwu coalition into the canyon, where wolf attacks and flaming cattle burned its camp and cost it much of its supplies and livestock.
  • As plague spread and water became unsafe, Jeremiah withdrew with the main force and abandoned the sick and wounded, while Victor’s cattle and wolves devastated those left behind.
  • Victor reported a bloody victory over thirty thousand Tuwu troops and arranged the distribution of military merit, while the Tuwu survivors blamed their losses on a curse.
  • After marching west for more than three months, Victor reached the Andorra Peninsula and ordered his officers to recruit Tuwu men, using force against tribes that refused.
  • Victor persuaded Tuwu soldiers that fighting the ogres served humanity, then led them in an attack on the Azure Wave Tribe and redistributed its captives and supplies.
