The summer vacation storyline needs to be wrapped up, and the outline for the new semester's storyline is only at the beginning; I need to take some time to refine it.
If you don't plan ahead, you'll always feel uncertain and unable to write anything when you're typing.
Let me first get the overall plot framework for the new semester sorted out today, so that I can maintain a daily output of 10,000 words for a longer period of time.
In addition, I'd like to address a few questions that have appeared frequently in this chapter.
1. The setting of Future Diary
Currently, Xia Jinshu can only see the daily real-time diary entries written by Song Yunshen, but cannot see his Future Diary.
Song Yunshen can randomly refresh Xia Jinshu's future diary entries, and this future corresponds to world line a. "If Song Yunshen had not triggered superpowers with the three female protagonists, how would the four of them have developed their relationship?"
The new book's plot revolves around Song Yunshen and the three female protagonists triggering superpowers, leading to a changed worldline (B) where their futures differ.
Song Yunshen's Future Diary also has an additional function: if he reads a diary entry from a certain day in 2026, and the timeline of the story reaches that day, after Xia Jinshu writes a "new diary entry" for that day, the diary content of world line B will overwrite the original diary content of world line A, allowing Song Yunshen to see the real-time diary entry written by Xia Jinshu that day.
These are all explained in the book.
---------- 2. Setting up mutual listening to each other's inner thoughts
This setting is purely subjective; whether or not they can hear it depends entirely on whether the author wants them to hear it.
I've seen quite a few works that focus on inner thoughts before, and once the mutual listening element is involved, the appeal of this concept is quickly diminished once it's revealed that they can hear each other's inner thoughts.
That's why I chose this more idealistic design.
3. The setting of soul swapping
This trigger is also quite random, and there is no clear triggering mechanism yet.
The reason is the same as the sentiment expressed: once the pattern is figured out, it becomes less interesting.
The feeling of being able to trigger something at any time, but not knowing when, is relatively more exciting.
However, I won't write too many triggers in the early stages, as it could easily disrupt the overall pacing of the story.
One more thing to add: I will not write stories where the male and female leads switch places, with the female lead using the male character to have sex with the female lead, or the male lead using the female character to engage in yuri (lesbian) relationships.
My own XP version isn't in this section.
4. Future design of superpowers
The three superpowers are not static; it's just that the initial timeline progresses relatively slowly, and a series of changes will occur later.
I've already done the basic design in this regard, and I'm just waiting for the timeline in the story to reach that stage so I can show it.
